Unfortunately, I had trouble with the characters. Although in the form I liked the story very much, I found that there was a certain toughness between the characters that I didn’t like. But I understand we a lot of people loved the book, it’s a beautiful love story between a mother and a daughter who need to trust the love of other.

I learned a lot about Huntington’s disease from this book! I was given an ARC from Netgalley & SOURCEBOOKS in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed my time reading this book! Jess wants nothing to do with dating or relationships after all she is much too busy taking care of her mum with Huntington’s disease a degenerative neurological disease. Jess also has Huntington’s and she can’t imagine someone wanting to take care of her for the rest of her days. She then meets Alec who wants to date her and will do anything to prove to Jess she’s worthy of love. He knows Jess’s mum is sick but not that she too is sick and will need care in the future. Alec makes a suggestion of dating for one month. Jess agrees and during the month Jess and Alec fall hard for each other. But their relationship is going to be done after a month right? So who cares?

I loved the tendering loving relationship between Jess and her mum. I loved the growth of Jess and Alec together and how sweet he was. I struggled with some of the flashback time lines I felt like they disconnected me from the story at times. But overall a very good read and I am happy I read it.
