Such a cute summer read that is perfect for toddlers! The use of onomatopoeias adds a great rhythm and interactivity to this book. The illustrations are beautifully done and work well to convey the story but not overwhelm the page. The entire book, illustrations and words alike, are a masterclass in being concise without losing anything.

Umm, only once does it say what the crocodile said at the beach. I thought it would be a refrain. I'm not familiar with the other books in this series. But it was just okay.

‘What Does Little Crocodile Say At the Beach?' with story and art by Eva Montanari is a picture book filled with the sounds of a day at the beach.

Little crocodile has a day at the beach with big crocodile. The beach is full of the sounds of nature and other things, but what sound will little crocodile make?

This book should delight young readers and the sounds will make for a lively read aloud book. The illustrations are lovely.

A lovely, playful adventure celebrating the sounds of a day at the beach shared between Big Crocodile and Little Crocodile. This would make a fun circle time read for pre-K. Kids would have lots of fun imitating all the sounds. The soft, hand-drawn illustrations and calm ending would also make this a nice wind-down book at the end of the day. The affection between Big Crocodile and Little Crocodile is evident and makes for a very sweet story. It would be a wonderful addition to home, school, and community libraries!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Just the sweetest! I am so BEYOND ecstatic that this is a series. Please keep it going! The watercolors/palette is so gentle and doesn't feel as 'primary' as some of the other books targeted for young kiddos. Truly a gem!

I really enjoyed the simple illustrations in this story and the sweet activities the crocodiles did throughout the day - it felt like a snapshot into childhood bliss. I think little ones who have tantrums when they don't want to leave an activity they are enjoying will relate to little crocodile, though I thought that there could have been some deep breaths or other suggestions for regulating big feelings.

It's a busy, noisy day for Little Crocodile from sunup to sundown. Everything has something to say on a fun filled outing to the beach. This perfect day ends like all perfect days should, with the promise of more wonderful times to come.

I loved this sweet book, and the author's lovely colored-pencil artwork.

Little Alligator is back and he is ready for a trip to the beach with Big Alligator. This is such a wonderful book to read aloud with young children. There are some wonderful descriptive words which truly lend themselves to be sounded out with silly sounds. The book opens with the sun saying good morning and the moon saying good night and details all of the fun things that Little Alligator did for the entire day. The book also includes Little Alligator having a tantrum when he has to leave the beach and shows how Big Alligator helps manage those bigger emotions. The illustrations are simple, realistic, and eye catching. Overall, I loved the book and will absolutely add it to my classroom library. It’s perfect for discussing sounds, onomatopoeia, or even emotions.

This is a wonderful book to read aloud to small children, highlighting a trip to the beach with all its attendant activities. There are lots of sounds to practice together, and delightful illustrations - I particularly loved the sleeping bags tailored for crocodiles! Highly recommend!

"What Does Little Crocodile Say At the Beach?" is a cute picture book for very young children. The book describes what sounds various things make, in this case during a day spent at the beach: "The sunscreen goes squirt", "The wave goes splash". There are enough different sounds as well as some unique noises to make the book fun. Montanari's illustrations are simple yet engaging. This will be a fun book for parents to read to their little ones, especially if some finesse is added to the reading of the sounds. Children may also guess what noises particular things make, adding an interactive approach. The book is another successful endeavor by author Eva Montanari and a perfect follow-up to "What Does Little Crocodile Say At the Park?" Thank you to NetGalley, Penguin Random House Canada, and Tundra Books for the ARC.

Book- What does crocodile say at the beach?
Genre- Children's book
Illustrator- @evamontanari_illustration
Ratings- *****

Before I talk about this book, I would like to thank @netgalley and @penguinrandomca for giving me an opportunity to read and review this beauty.

Coming to the book, I love children's book and four things I love to see in them while reading is: 1.Readability to the age group with the most divided attention, 2.Comprehension through pictures, 3. Balance of colours, 4. Moral/impressionable lessons

I am so proud that this book takes into account all the four and it is something I can buy for my future kids as well. The story is about little crocodile with their mama at the beach and the campsite. The little ones can learn the different sounds through the crocodile's adventures and also how a beach vacay experience feels like. The words are simple and easily be read to the kids.

I can't wait to gift this to my nephews and nieces.

This book is adorable! Following a little Crocodile's fun day at the beach, this picture book gave major 'what did the fox say' vibes, and I loved it! Incredible illustrations and easy to read (along with) for children between the ages of two and five. A helpful and cute way to teach sounds to young children.

This is an infant's book concerned with engaging a very young audience and I think it does that really well! The art is absolutely endearing with a colored pencil aesthetic that really works! The story is of a young crocodile and their parent having a fun day, and it focuses on the exploration of sounds. I didn't realize that this was part of a series, but I will have to look at the others in this series because this really did charm me.

This could technically be a goodnight book, but I think it is engaging enough to be a book for all occasions for the right age demographic (probably 4 or younger)

This is a book for little kids, with the help of adults to read to them, The book contains fun illustrations on the beach, with the sounds you can hear there. The fun book will help kids understand what they can do, see and hear at the beach.

I was initially not getting why this book was written because there was very messy view to it while reading it in kindly, every word and picture was splashing like water droplets, here & there. Somehow I completed it, but even while having issues in readng, I found it very grasping, in a way to make one learn the sounds of animals & other things we deal in with, every day & night.

I really felt that this should be audiobook to make it more funny and attaractive to the children. Overall, this is a good book. Eva is an amazing Illustrationist and writer.
