Nowadays, it feels like everything is negative whether you are talking about the economy, politics, or really just everything. When Your Hand is in the Lion's Mouth is a reminder that there is still a lot of good out there. It's also a reminder to call your parents and tell them you love them.

Author Nita Whitaker wrote this book to celebrate and honor her father who has both seen and done a lot. It is also a chronicle of Nita's own life and challenges. Whitaker keeps a sharp focus on the good side of life. This isn't to say she ignores the hard parts and the inevitable sad events. However, she brings all these anecdotes quickly back to the wise words of her father who taught her everything she knows.

People need to smile sometimes. This book will make you smile.
