I had to force myself to put down the book because I was tired and the words started to get blurry, and I didn’t want to miss anything.

This is a sapphic book where you get to see a movie star and scriptwriter fall in love. It is amazingly written and never found the trouble to understand anything.

I loved all the different relationships, with her love interest, with her friends and especially with her aunt.

I would definitely recommend to read this book in the summer, and definitely give happy/sunny vibes.

Thank you Amy Spalding for writing this amazing book especially when it gives sapphic representation.

LGBTQ representation. Finding love after heartbreak. Really enjoyable read and potentially a top book for 2023

I love a queer love story and a found family, and this book delivered both of those spectacularly. There was so much more to this than simply a love story though! This was a story about discovery, friendship , family and self-love.

All of the characters in the book were well-developed and well-written, but The MCs were AMAZING-Nina is so relatable it hurts, and I definitely have a massive crush on Ari! I rooted for the two of them from the beginning, and I felt Nina’s anxiety and worries in my soul. It’s so hard to be on the line of take the risk and pursue your dream or stay in your comfort zone because it’s safe, and Nina’s character arc completely illustrates that beautifully!

This was a fairly easy read and I definitely enjoyed it. I do think, however, that the reconciliation seemed to happen out of the blue and completely un-prompted. Besides that though I really enjoyed this.

I was given an ARC by NetGalley and Kensington Books. All opinions are my own.

Since a crushing breakup three years ago, Nina Rice has written romance, friends, her dreams of scriptwriting for TV, and even L.A. proper out of her life. Instead, she's safely out in the suburbs in her aunt's condo working her talent agency job from home, managing celebrity email accounts, and certain that's plenty of writing--and plot--for her life. But a surprise meeting called by Ari Fox, a young actress on everyone's radar, stirs up all kinds of feelings Nina thought she'd deleted for good...
Ari is sexy, out and proud, and a serious control freak, according to Nina's boss. She has her own ideas about how Nina should handle her emails--and about getting to know her ghostwriter. When she tells Nina she should be writing again, Nina suddenly finds it less scary to revisit her abandoned life than seriously consider that Ari is flirting with her. Between reconnecting with her old crew and working on a new script, a relationship with a movie star seems like something she'll definitely mess up--but what could be more worth the risk?
A really enjoyable romance book so well written totally recommend

If only this book were being released in the summer—it’s sure to become a beach-read page-turner. I thoroughly enjoyed this WLW romance novel. It was sweet, sassy, a little spicy, and reflective.

The thing I appreciated most in this book was the complexity of the main character, Nina. While she irritated me with her self-doubt and low self-esteem, I can see these qualities served a purpose to get her to where she needed to be, and it was refreshing getting to see her actively work through these issues. I love that this is a mirror of real life.

I also appreciated the love between Nina and her aunt, friends, and her romantic interest, Ari. You can feel their appreciation and support for/of each other. The best thing is, this love isn’t even a fairy tale. People actually get lucky enough to have this in real life, and the author did an amazing job portraying that loving dynamic between everyone.

If you want a cozy rom-com for 2023, look no further.

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

I don’t know if I have the words for how much I enjoyed this book. The characters were real, relatable, perfectly flawed. You feel as if you know them. Their successes and failures are your successes and failures. It’s a beautifully written story about love, friendship, family, making your own family and finding your way.
