This book was okay for me. I had a hard time getting into some of the stories but I did like others.

Wow these were some awesome short(ish) stories. Some gave me the creeps, others were just well written. The last one had me gripped I wish it was longer.

This was a fascinating collection of short mystery stories, and it was no surprise that my favorite was Hotel California.

I really enjoyed the fact that it was narrated by various narrators, and they each brought all the stories to life.

*many thanks to Blackstone for the gifted copy for review

DNF @10% due to narrator cadence, voice, and content not being quite what I had anticipated. I think that this is better suited to be read in print and I will be doing that if I decide to pick this book up again in the future.

An overall enjoyable collection of short stories. Perfect for quick reads! You will be kept on the edge of your seat the majority of the time.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Not a fan of this. The thought of different short stories realty drew me in but I just wasn't drawn in to the stories unfortunatly.

Imagine the Eagles album ‘Hotel California’, pick a song from that album, now write a short crime story using that songs title and one line of lyrics in the story. That’s what the writers of Hotel California have done. I don’t know if that was their process when they wrote these stories, but I think it’s incredibly imaginative and and such a unique concept! all in all a good read. Short stories make it easy to get in a short read and come back to it later.

A must for fans of mystery. Hotel California provides a variety of mystery short stories. I love anthologies and this one didn't disappoint.

This was a very quick, but enjoyable read! Perfect collection of thrillers to get the spooky season rolling!

𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙨, 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙞; 𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨. This anthology is full of stories of each kind. They were a great mix all together and almost went by too quickly!

Including some well known authors, I love how they mixed in with some lesser known authors. I highly suggest this one from NetGalley to kick start spooky season!

Thank you @NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing - Audiobooks for my audiobook!

I hate to give a bad review to short story collections because there are usually always stories in there that I believe was amazing. Just like in this collection I thought the story that this book derived its name from, Hotel California, was just amazing but I found the rest of the stories to be quite bland and very uninteresting. I really had to push myself to finish this book because I didn't enjoy most of the stories.

I technically only read one story in this collection, "New Kid in Town" by Andrew Child. That story was 2 stars and it was boring. An uneventful story and I don't think the mysteries in this collection are my speed, so I'm going to just leave this collection abandoned instead of forcing myself to care. I can't do it. I don't have the energy to force myself to finish this collection and life is too short to force myself to read stuff I'm not interested in.

Thank you, Netgalley and Blackstone Publishing, for providing me with the audio advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.

Like most anthologies, this was a real mixed bag. I really enjoyed a few stories (Try and Love Again & The Last Resort) and was neutral on or didn’t like the rest. I loved that there were different narrators for each story.

Hotel California did not disappoint. I discovered new authors I’d not read before and those I was familiar with added to the fabulous stories within the collection. My favorite was Jennifer Dornbush’s Hotel California. An original tale using the fictional possibilities of meeting the dead again was brought to life with the mystery of a woman offered the choice between life and death. The Last Resort by Rich Bleiweiss was a well-done twist involving a hit man, and Heather Graham’s Pretty Maids All in a Row was an outstanding tale of voodoo and history. I’d absolutely recommend this collection.

Love books that have several authors
Great way to try out new authors
Love Scott Brick as a narrator.

I particularly enjoyed the audio version of this Anthology because of the utilization of multiple narrators, all of whom excellently portrayed the stories they narrated. Characters and events were vividly brought to life. Both stories and narration were excellent. I'd definitely choose again any anthology with this particular set of narrators!

You have a compilation of short stories. I am happy I did this as an audio. I was able to get though each in one sitting. At first, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this style of a book, but I did. It's nice to get a quick shot for the pallet.
