Another book which started out okay but...

The wedding of the title only plays a small part of the plot. There were some funny moments but the romantic relationships bored me a little.

The book was originally released as 4 x novellas, so make sure you don't buy it twice. Maybe the plot was more suited for these shorter form installments.

I'm afraid I skimmed a fair bit.

This book was just a little boring for me. I had trouble investing in the story.

I found Wendy, the owner of the wedding store infuriating but this was teamed with an apathy for Ella. I did not connect with her character or care about her, really. Which is unfortunate.

It seemed to drag although the premise was interesting to start with I just felt it didn't move fast enough.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for my review.

This was a sweet romance featuring Ella who works in a bridal store and feels bullied by her boss Wanda. Ella needs to stand up for herself and her friends help her to do this. But Ella has even bigger problems which arise when she sees her father with a mystery woman. Can the mysterious Kit, a builder who she meets because of a mistaken identity, help her to change her life?

I think that this would have been easier to read as a paperback. There were a lot of twists and turns and stories about Ella’s friends. There was just too much detail about events which weren’t all that relevant to the story. Ella and Kit were likeable but unfortunately, not likeable enough to keep the story from dragging a bit.

I received this free ebook from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

After reading another book by this author I had high hopes. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as The Library. It felt like it had a lot of unnecessary details and went on for longer than needed.
The lead characters were interesting and I liked the way they grew and developed but could have done without the extra side storylines.
Overall a good story but not a quick read.

Thank you to Netgallery for the copy to read and review.

Set in the UK in the present time. Ella works as a seamstress in a Bridal Shop and dreams of having her own shop. Ella’s friends encourage her to leave and open her own shop.
I loved the humour and interactions between Ella and her friends. Ella’s friend Brittany is planning a wedding at Sandy Cove.
This was a romance about family relationships, workplace relationships and friendships.

Funny, tender and witty, A Wedding at Sandy Cove is pure entertainment from the very start. I loved the beach feel you get from the setting on the Norfolk, UK coast.
This story has two heroines, both of them bridesmaids for their friend Brittany. Seamstress Ella, whose work involves altering wedding dresses for the brides who’ve bought them from her nasty boss Wanda, is a committed people pleaser. Her friend Lucy, a divorce lawyer, is the opposite. Lucy is a committed single, who views men as being good for a romp in the sheets and not much else. Ella, on the other hand, is in it for the fairytale and as the story opens, she’s still smarting from being dumped by her former boyfriend Todd.
While Brittany’s wedding plans trundle along in the background, providing some very funny moments along the way, the love lives of Ella and Lucy are the driving forces of this story. For Ella, it’s the supremely sexy builder Kit O’Leary, while Lucy finds herself surprisingly falling for the best man at Brittany’s wedding. Along the way these two provide readers with loads of laughs courtesy of the text messages between Ella and Kit as well as Lucy’s snarky nicknames for people she doesn’t like. I absolutely loved this light and funny romance.

A delightful romance that tackles a few serious issues, without becoming bogged down. I immediately connected with Ella and loved seeing her blossom and assert herself in a new life. Lucy is a hoot and we all need a friend group like they have with Brittany. The ending isn't too cliché but we get our happily ever after. I love Bella Osborne's books!!

Thank to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
