I have really enjoyed these Systema Paradoxa tales, and this was another strong entry in the series. I enjoyed the story, and the characters. Will definitely be tracking these all down. #AloneintheMuck #NetGalley

I enjoyed Kukal's book on cryptids. This is a creature hidden in sewers and undiscovered by mankind. It has sentience and is lonely. A corporation is trying to capture it having heard about it. And the struggle begins.

I’m the first to rate and review this one. Is no one interested in cryptozoology anymore?
More Systema Paradoxa. This time it takes you to the sewers to uncover the origins or the charismatic sentient being who has been for too long all alone in the muck. Now he wants to make friends.
Wasn’t enough to inspire the classic 1958 creature feature nor its remake that came 30 years later. (Trivia time) Nope. This guy is just lonely.
The goal is to make sure he ends up with the right people because some very wrong people are looking for him too. Read and find out how it all plays out.
It’s such a quick read, easily done in one sitting, another thing to love about this series.
Fun creature feature. For fans of such things, especially with a cryptozoological angle. Thanks Netgalley.
