Cute story about how the things that seem scary could be made to be not so scary. The scariest pirate of all keeps getting pranked into being kinda silly. The illustration style is really over the top and I love it. I also liked the text styling and the grammar choices and how those paralleled the story. It was engaging and I can see how this book would be a great read-aloud book for children. The Spanish in it is a little awkward and I looked into it and this was published by a Portuguese publisher and I wonder if that had an influence on how, sometimes, the Spanish felt a little stilted. Language nitpicks aside this was super entertaining.
