As a borderline hoarder, I'm always on the lookout for a way to sort through and eliminate stuff and stay on this side of that border. This book is going to come in handy for that goal - it's pretty to look at, and those pretty pictures are great inspirations for setting realistic goals for sorting and eliminating and streamlining life in general. It also has ways to set up specific spaces in your home for specific functions. All in all, if you're looking for help in reducing the clutter in your life, and organizing what you keep so that you can operate more smoothly throughout your home, this book can be a huge help. Implementing the ideas? Well, that's up to me (and you). But this book can be a great start.

Love Your Home Again is a book about removing clutter from a home that you have been living in for awhile. Most of us do not need this advice when we first move into a new home. But after we have lived somewhere, the space for storage gets fuller each year. Then at some point it is all full and the clutter starts to build up. This book is about what to do then.
This book describes a plan for taking everything out in a room and going thru all of it. The book tells you how to organize the stuff and plans for what to do with each category of stuff. What to keep and what to get rid of. The important question in the kitchen was - have you used it?
What do you do with all the stuff - well this book has recommendations for that too. Minimize what you throw away. Donate as much as you can.
The rooms in your home make up each chapter in the book. When you are done - then the clutter in your home should be gone. It should be like moving into a new home, room for everything. And everything has a place. This will all need to be done again in 10 years or so. Or do it as you live there. I don't think any home of mine would ever look like some of the pictures in this book. But the pictures are good and give us a goal.

What a fabulous, cozy read that gets right to the heart of your goal...feeling like your home is refreshed and renewed in its comfort. Not just how it looks or how organized it is (although that's a part of it.) An excellent guide.

Love Your Home Again is straight-forward and easy to understand. Though the book stalks about decluttering and organization of your belongings, I'd argue that the former is where the bulk of the authors' attention is directed. As someone who has been striving to purge excess items from my life over the course of this past year, I value that the decluttering was a focus, because generally it feels MUCH more overwhelming to organize without trimming down the number of belongings you have first.

Like many books in the genre, this one is broken down into the rooms or sections of the home and gives step-by-step instructions for each. There are plenty of pictures, which are helpful for folks who want ideas on how to organize or display their items.

My biggest personal favorite thing about the book was the focus on Buying and Owning Well. This is how the authors refer to buying fewer high quality items and maintaining those items so that they last as long as possible. As a society, especially here in the USA, we go through items far faster than we should, either out of the drive to have the latest-and-greatest or because we bought a cheaper item that will not last and will need to be replaced. Shifting the focus to spending more on items that will last is a great way to break a consumerist mindset, to make purchases from brands or individuals that align with your beliefs, and to reduce your impact on the environment.

Another doable book on organizing your home and enjoying the items you have. Book was broken down in sections of the home to focus on. This made it easy to follow and not feel overwhelmed. A great book to get you motivated to organize.

Use caution with this book! It’s so helpful you’ll want to do every thing at once. Trust me. Don’t do that. Take it one tip at a time. Some tips are so easy you will be kicking yourself why didn’t I think of that!

A solid, comprehensive guide to home organization! There is a strong focus on decluttering and intentionality in purchasing and keeping items. The "Owning Well" philosophy encourages buying only what's absolutely necessary and investing in the best quality possible. I liked how the authors always centered functionality and practicality over "rules"--the fundamental question is always "what do I actually need from this space?"

The storage and organization tips were a little biased in favor of "innies" (people who prefer items concealed vs. "outies" who prefer to be able to see their items) but there were still lots of good ideas to be had. This would be useful reading for anyone looking to update and refresh their space.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

A guilt-free version of decluttering your living space to make it more comfortable and enjoyable, with prompts to be thoughtful about what you have, how and where you use it, and how to most effectively place it. These concepts apply to what you purchase in the future and how you take care of what you keep. Hints of Marie Kondo and less extreme than others in the industry.

This book has saved my life. I am extremely messy and do not feel at home when my place is a wreck, and this book had so many solid, easy to implement ideas and tips for clearing out what I do not need and have never used as well as organizing my home in a way that makes it easy to maintain. I loved that you referred to hoarders as "holder on'ers" - and all of that cute phrases were memorable and left a big impact. Easy to remember and easy to implement. I would recommend this one to anyone! The coloring and cover are also gorgeous! A perfect gift!
