This is a good book. The two main characters are Violet and Wolf. There is an instant attraction. Violet is an innkeeper and Wolf is a rancher. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

I enjoyed this book. I love reading books by Maisey Yates. I think this one is her best so far this year. Plus you get two great Christmas stories. I am grateful that netgalley and the publishers let me read this in exchange for an honest review.

Enjoyable book. Our library doesn’t buy paperback books but they do accept donations. This is one that would catch my eye when looking at the new books on the shelf and I would pick it up for my pleasure. Story of Wolf Garrett and Sawyer his brother and They worked together on the ranch Garrett’s Watch. Wolf and Sawyer’s mother left when they were young and his father wasn’t much of a father. Wolf had also had a young love experience that affected him later in life. Wolf was restless and decided to go to Copper Ridge to help his cousins with an expansion on their ranch. There he met Violet Donnelly who worked bed and breakfast on the Four Corners Ranch where Wolf was staying and also at her step mother’s bakery. It was an interesting story of the two and how they were eventually able to work out the difficulties that arose.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for an eARC of this title for review. All opinions are honestly given and are my own.

In Merry Christmas Cowboy, hotly-burning chemistry between cowboy Wolf Garrett and innkeeper Violet Donnelly has unexpected consequences when Violet discovers she is pregnant after their short-term fling. Wounded by the loss of his teenage sweetheart, Wolf is committed to provide for Violet and their unborn child but cannot bear the thought of risking his heart again. However, Violet wants their future family to be more to Wolf than just a duty and is determined to show Wolf that love has not passed him by.

This was the perfect festive read to prepare for the holiday season. Wolf and Violet are both warm, fully-rounded characters who must learn to trust again and earn their happy ending. I loved these characters and seeing how Yates skillfully wove together their story of opening themselves back up to love after grief and loss. For readers who are fans of Yates’s earlier works, they will enjoy seeing some of their favorite characters from Copper Ridge and Four Corners’ Ranch. Merry Christmas Cowboy is a wonderful addition to this series and is sure to be a hit with fans of Yates’s earlier works, contemporary Westerns, or gentle festive reads. 4 stars.

Maisey Yates brings us to Four Corners Ranch where we meet Wolf and Violet. Wolf is the lone Garrett brother who decides that a change in scenery might help him out, so he goes to visit family in Copper Ridge. There, he is met by innkeeper Violet Donnelly and there is the instant spark of chemistry. Violet splits her time between being an innkeeper and baking for her family bakery. She is hoping that by being the perfect daughter, she could atone for her past. But she knows that meeting Wolf could be her downfall. When they surrender to their passion, there are lasting consequences. Will they be able to overcome their past enough to forge a future together, or will they sabotage what could be for staying in the past?

Maisey Yates brings us a story of how the past shapes the present and the future. Through Wolf and Violet, we get to follow their path as they find their way to each other, then see if they can stay the course. Through it all, we get to meet their extended families and see the dynamics that make up the love and support they get from them. It will be nice to come back to Four Corners Ranch and Copper Ridge to catch up with everyone in the future. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a quick fun read with likable characters. The book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. This author is talented at writing a romantic adventure. There are so many characters that I had a little trouble keeping up. That being said, the story comes to a resounding ending.

I usually like books by this author, but I couldn’t get into this book. It was confusing; too many characters. It probably would have been better if I had read the earlier books in the series. There were too many people to keep track of.
