This book has been a great reading experience. Thanks to the author and the publisher for bringing this book to life.

Builds off on the premise of AI succeeding with "point solutions" or "application solutions" by wondering out loud if it can extend to "system solutions". I'm personally not a fan of the future set out im this book but considering how the world already works the possibility of this actually happening is always a nonzero number.

Power and Prediction builds on Prediction Machines, the authors' bestselling work on the economics of AI. Most of the AI success stories so far involve solving prediction problems within systems already designed for machine prediction, falling into the authors' categories of point solutions or applicaiton solutions. In Power and Prediction, the authors focus on system solutions and the potential value from redesigning organizations and entire industries around AI-based systems. The AI Systems Discovery Canvas presented in Power and Prediction is a great tool for anyone interested in evaluating AI solutions using a system mindset.
