A good read, I enjoyed it.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Katherine and Scott. Katherine is the head of a charity and Scott is owner of a construction company. There is an instant attraction when they meet. Katherine has come to Scott’s office because she wants him to be a bachelor on her charity auction. He eventually says yes. They have their ups and downs but finally fall in love.

I really liked Scott and Katherines story. I also like all the sub characters too. Falling in love fast when you know its right makes for a different kind of romance.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of "The billionaire Bachelor".

I requested this story because I like romance and I'm always looking for new stories and authors. I must say that I had higher expectation both in the story and in the writing so I was a little disappointed.

The idea was interesting, but the characterization and style were lacking: the author seemed more keen to tell us what the charachters felt rather than show us, which made the reading a little less fluid.
There are also a lot of scenes and things happening but nothing is really seen in any depth (which I understand because it's a romance and I am not asking for deep content, but I prefer fewer things happening that are followed thoroughly, rather than many things hinted and never explained).

Also, the story deal with content that can trigger the reader, such as child abuse, violence etc. I didn't find the representation of these subjects really compelling.

All in all this is a easy read, but I can name a dozen books that use the same plot and are more engaging.

Due to the topic of a bachelor auction, I was anticipating a fluffy, light romance. Instead it is a heart-warming and emotional story. Engaging and charming. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
