This book was a really fun addition to the Renegades series. While it was not my favorite of the series, I did really enjoy it. I loved Caitlyn as a character and watching her find strength and her own life. I did mostly like Duke as a character, though his temper and his inability to learn from the past at times was really frustrating. I understand where it was coming from, but it was really frustrating to watch them just completely fail to communicate at times. I loved the addition of Dukes sister Kristy, and her family. I wish there was a little more of it. I loved seeing the rest of the renegades characters come back. I felt a little like too many things were packed into the end of the book that could have been spread out a bit more. It seemed a little bit unbalanced in that way and I found myself waiting for something else to happen early on. Overall, I liked the book and will look for more in the series.

Another great Renegades book! Caitlin is new to L.A. AND MEETS Renegade Duke at her cousin's wedding to the founder of Renegades. It is lust at first sight. Caitlin is an innocent from Kentucky, who accidentally takes a job as a fixer at a PR firm for the actor starring in the film that Duke is acting as stunt/double for. Duke has been away from the Renegades for 2 years assisting his sister and her 3 girls with a nasty divorce from a Hollywood producer. There are several steamy scenes, and lots of rock climbing action, plus the drama of the divorce of Duke's sister.

All in all a satisfying, if not thought provoking, summer read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

Risk by Skype Jordan is the right standalone romance in the Renegades series. In this romance, Duke, one of the Renegades stuntmen, and Caitlin, a Kentucky girl freshly moved to LA to become a PR assistant, go through ups and downs before settling on happily ever after.

This is the first standalone I have read in this series and I can definitely attest to the fact that you don’t have to read the rest of the series to pick this romance up and enjoy it. I found this to be your typical romance, nothing extremely out of the box, but still a good read. I really enjoyed the character of Caitlin, her spunk and her fresh outlook in LA compared to those who had been there awhile. I had a love hate relationship with Duke, sometimes he was great, but other times the way he acted rubbed me the wrong way. In the end, this was a good romance with a nice happily ever after and I would recommend it to romance fans!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this book!

Skye Jordan brings us back to the Renegades. This time, it is Duke's story. He meets and instantly is attracted to newcomer Caitlyn who arrives in LA with a dream job. Unfortunately, her dream job turns out to be very different from what she thought. They both end up working in Canada on the same film set. Disagreements and different opinions clash with the sparks set off by their mutual attraction to each other. While Duke has to focus on his job so that he could support his sister and her family while they are in a custody battle with her ex, Caitlyn must continue her job of being a Hollywood fixer for the star of the movie or else return home as a failure. Will they both be able to put aside their differences and be able to move forward? Or will the past and prejudices tear them apart?

Skye brings us back to the world of the Renegades. Although it is a series, it is not mandatory to read them all in order although you will want to when you meet the other Renegades. She draws you in and keeps you there wanting more and seeing what happens next. It is always nice to visit with the other members and their families and see what they are all up to currently. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I did not know that this is a book series so I need to go back and read the previous ones because I’m hooked! Still, it can work as a stand-alone.

If you are looking for a freakin hot, mind-blowing spicy read, this one for you!
It’s a great romance book that I finished in one sitting. A perfect summer beach read!

Thank you, NetGalley, Publisher, and Author, for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Oh, Duke and his quick temper aggravated me sometimes. But that also meant that he seemed just like an actual living, breathing man. Because when hasn’t a man reacted badly in the very second things are going sideways and upside down? But Caitlyn held her own against him. She may have been in uncharted waters. She may have been new to LA life and California as a whole. Heck, she may have been “less than” to so many, but she was strong and smart and resourceful and once she hit her limit, she was fire!

I hated Leo. Hated. And I think everyone else will, too. He was vain, narcissistic, awful, and absolutely deserving of every piece of misery that came his way! Same with his buddy who Caitlyn unexpectedly met one night. But that meeting would prove to be so much more pivotal than anyone but Caitlyn ever thought. Thanks to Caitlyn and her brains, maybe all was not lost. Maybe, just maybe, the woman that everyone underestimated could be the savior to each and every one of them. And because of Caitlyn, I loved this book. She was everything I needed to see in an overlooked, undervalued woman. And boy, did she show everyone her worth!

Risk by Skye Jordan is book 8 in the Renegades series!
And these can be read as stand alone books.

Y'all! Y'all! Y'all! I now need book one-seven.
I loved meeting these characters. Caitlyn and Duke are just phenomenal, I loved them, cheered for them, cared for them and felt for them. I loved them!
The connections, the conversations, the feelings were just on point.
And the sex....OMG it is freaking hot!
Jordan's writing is something special. I loved how she made me feel.so connected to them and had me hanging onto every word. Honestly it was mind blowing to me.
You just have to read it. This is my first one and I'm hooked. Now I'm off to devour the other books in this hell of a series because this girl needs more!
