This is the perfect blend of mystery and romance, which is always a really fun mixture - and who doesn't love an enemies to lovers kind of trope? It's an enjoyable story with fun characters, a decent plot and some very sweet moments. Can easily be read as a standalone book.

With the absolute utmost respect, I tried many times to read this book and ultimately DNFed after 54%. Although I love the genre, there just wasn't something I could connect to-- I probably tried about 13 times to read it.

I am sure that there are many, many readers who would love this book, but I am simply not your reader.

Wishing the author the best of luck!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this digital ARC in the exchange of an honest review.

First, I loved the cover. It it's very cute and I thought the paint splattered all over Miranda's apron was so authentic to her character. Second, I have to say I'm a real fan of Kathy's opening scenes. They crack me up. I'm happy to report this one didn't disappoint! Third, the book kept me entertained through out. It turned out to be one of my favorite books that I've read this year. This one is a keeper that I'll read again. I know you'll enjoy it too!

I do love some romance with my mystery and even though the romance was a little sparse for part of this, I did still enjoy it! It’s a fun, easy read to sit and binge read and I loved our cute couple!

Thank you so much to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book!
This was a romantic comedy/ romantic mystery novel.
It kept me questioning till the end. I thought the writing style was little too like a thriller novel and not like a romcom cause it was like reading the notes of a detective. The characters were little one dimensional and I didn’t have a connection with them. The romance wasn’t even there till after the half of the book which I didn’t appreciate. I cared more about the case but I guess that is a personal opinion.
If you are going to read it for the mystery go for it!
2.5/5

This was a great mystery that kept me guessing until the end. I really thought I could figure it out, but no, I was not smarter than the plot twists. I really liked the writing style of this book, it was like reading facts of the case, but gathered together to create a multi dimensional image that moved and spoke. The characters did feel a little flat to me, I found myself caring more about the mystery then them, but that was definitely due to personal preference.

I throughly enjoyed this novel. In fact, it’s one of the few lately that has held my attention throughout the entire story. While I could see a few things coming, I never felt like rushing though it. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

An interesting story that has an artist Miranda finally getting a big-time exhibit only to find out that her main piece has gone and disappeared. She of course believes it has been stolen. Her uncle puts in touch with Willaim and though Wikkaim believes thinks or whatever that he will be looking for the painting alone NO! Miranda is there along the way which only enhances the story and makes for a good rom-com. A good story and worth the read.

Caper Crush is a wonderful, feel-good, opposites-attract, slow-burn romantic comedy and it definitely had me giggling along in quite a few places!! It was also very easy to read and I found myself turning the pages faster and faster just so that I could find out what was going to happen next.

Thank you net galley and Victory editing for allowing me to read this! I was intrigued by this to begin with because it is a romantic mystery. I felt as though it just didn’t hold my attention. I didn’t feel the connection between the characters as much as I wanted. I felt like the mystery part didn’t excite me. I also didn’t like that the relationships they had prior seemed to keep coming up like you can’t start a new one when you bring up your exes or past dates all the time. I also feel like you don’t really get any type of romance until the 60% mark and it’s weird that it happened so fast. It felt like it was more of a mystery about finding the stolen painting and the romance felt misplaced. It also frustrates me that when the romance started it seemed consumed by jealousy and others involved. I felt as though the ending wasn’t a surprise which sucked because I was waiting for a twist but I did like the way the romance aspect ended

This is a delightful romantic comedy that had me smiling pretty much from beginning to end. The characters were well-developed and endearing and you can't help but fall in love with them. Miranda is a free-spirited, struggling artist and finally gets her big break, only now her painting has been stolen. William has known Mirands for a long time, and he is helping her find her painting. He is her complete opposite, reserved and a bit uptight, yet they clicked so well together. There chemistry was undeniable. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow and the witty banter between them was so much fun. The story was entertaining from start to finish and the the mystery surrounding the theft added a little more intrigue and drama. A charming story with fun, humor, romance made this an enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more of Ms. Strobos' work.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This was such a fun read; I loved the connection with Miranda and William and their two uncles. The book did keep me engaged; however, I did think the book was bit too long. This was my first book from this author, I will be exploring more of her books.

Miranda is this quirky artist/ musician, but art is her true passion, when she finally gets a big break for an art show someone steals one of her paintings. Why would anyone steal her painting and they also took who uncles and his partners beloved painting that was going to be added addition to the art show. With the help of her loveable uncles and William who she has nothing in common with are determined to find out who toke the paintings. Somehow, she gets William to do things he would never think about doing and somewhere in the middle of it all he starts to fall for this lovable artist. Can opposites really be a good idea for love?? Neither one can deny the feelings for each other, can put aside their differences, find the missing paintings and explore this attraction?

Thank you to NetGalley and Strawbundle Publishing for a copy of this book for my honest review.

In my spree of reading quick, light books with a romance around some interesting people, this fit the bill.
Our leading lady is a struggling artist (although I struggle with appreciating abstract art and therefore may not appreciate her mental process as much) and is just set up for her first big break. It is at this time that disaster strikes and her paintings are stolen.
The biggest problem for me was the fact that I figured out the culprit thanks to the well-placed mentions by the author. The set-up and the reason for everything were extremely believable, but there were so many points where the right question would have broken the case, but the two amateur detectives tend to gloss over at just the right moment to prolong the case (obviously, since they want to spend time together despite the time crunch on retrieving the painting).
The writing was light, and the people were likeable. There is a strong family bonding threaded through the narrative. They are all not immediate parental figures, but they add a nice touch to the overall book.
The romance works, especially given the fact that it is self-evident from the very beginning that Will has had his eye on our leading lady for a while. It was just the kind of book that I wanted to read at the time, and I would recommend it to others who like the genre. The mystery aspect is light, and there is no need to know about the two other books in the series because we do not connect with those other characters much in this.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers, but the review is based on my own reading experience.

CAPER CRUSH By Kathy Strobos
Miranda is an out and out artist. She is a member of a band and she is a painter as well. Trying to make it big in the art world , her paintings are to be displayed atan art gallery that can do wonders for her. But somebody stole her painting. Now steps in William who's uncle is married to Miranda's uncle. They together start to investigate as to who stole the painting and why.
What i liked -
Opposites Attract/Feel Good I liked Miranda's character. She is very easy going, caring, sensitive yet strong. I liked the plot. The whole detective feel of it. It's got drama, mystery, slow burn chemistry. I absolutely love the uncle's Tony and Takashi and the way they play cupid. There were quite a few funny instances in the book. All in all an enjoyable easy read.
What could have been better -
I wish there was more of William and Miranda as a couple. I felt a few places the story fell flat for me.

Absolutely loved this book, was a really sweet romance between Miranda and William. They knew each other because their Uncles are married to each other. Miranda is an aspiring artist, who happens to have three of her paintings in the Vertex Art show. As the story progresses she receives some bad news about one of her paintings, which happened to have been stolen along with some artwork that belonged to Tony and Takashi.
