The story takes place in a boarding school, where Sadie is also staying. And in such places it is inevitable that girls get involved in complications and love also appears beyond the walls, of course only in secret. This is an interesting, likeable young adult story. I am sure that the age group will find in it the values that will make them enjoy the story. Thanks to NetGalley for the publication!

This was an enjoyable read. It’s a story of the lives and loves of a group of girls in boarding school. The author spins a good yarn and picks out the joys and dramas of teenage life well

This book is an inspirational story indeed! I did find that the story started out quite slow, and I struggled to get into the story, however once I stuck with it, I wasn't disappointed! It tells the tale of a young girl living in a boarding school who has to face the hardships of war, friendship and love! Susan has a way of describing a setting, it makes you feel as though you are right there with the characters! Please do not judge this book by the first few chapters! I promise it gets so much better! And has become one of my "want to reread" again books! Thank you for giving me an opportunity to read this book.

A mildly entertaining read, not going to lie the premises and set up was great HOWEVER, I could not seem to connect with Sadie’s character completely (although I will truthfully admit that she has her moments in this story)
I did enjoy the romantic aspect to this story , the ending did leave me wistful and hoping for a bit more.
ALSO boarding school reads, with a sprinkle of rebellion (what more could you want honestly)

Fresh, fun yet nostalgic, it was a fast read . The dorm days, the weekend freedom all reminded me of days gone by. My only hitch, it could have been a little shorter with less descriptions.
