"Nanny Dearest" is a book about an orphaned woman who is at a loss in her life and then randomly runs into her former nanny. She starts to feel better but what is this nanny's agenda really?
For me this book was a bit slow and dragged on too much until something actually happened. The concept is very suspenseful and it doesn't give away much until near the end of the book but to me that was a little boring and my attention was easily lost. The actual ending left a lot to be desired too in my opinion, very abrupt and not a lot of detail when you consider what Suzy has been through.

A slow burning thriller where paciung increased as plot tension increased. It was dark, creepy and had a level of unpredictabiity, although I did guess soe of the twist. I still enjoyed it though.

This was a rather predictable read. It was very slow and lacked the grip-factor. I’m afraid it was not much of a thriller at all.

Dual timelines and pet torture and death. Generally not my favourite type of book, but I carried on.

It is a slow start but once you start the evil is all around, by the time you get to the middle the story has stopped being steeped in suspense and is just unsettling and quite overly dramatic. Everything started to feel a bit too far fetched.

The book definitely has themes of suspense and creepy behaviour but none of it was enough to save it for me.

Face From The Past…
Secrets, lies, obsessions and a face from the past combine in this dark and disturbing psychological suspense. An intriguing premise which delivers with a well observed and nicely crafted cast of characters, multiple perspectives, a gradual build of tension and a slow burn compelling, page turning tale. A solid, snake like domestic noir with plenty of stings in its’ tail.
