I will read absolutely everything this author writes. I love this series so so much. The cover is so pretty. THe narration was so perfect for the story. I have been so excited for London's story. I do enjoy an enemies to lovers romance. This one was so good. There was banter and tension and all the spicy spice! I highly recommend this book and the series. Thank you to NetGalley and Hachette Audio for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

While it took me a bit to truly get invested into the book and characters - once I was in it, I was in it! While I think the love story (and spice) in the second book makes it my favorite of this trio of books, The Hookup Plan comes in at a close 2nd. I really enjoyed London as a character and her portrayal of a talented, busy woc that excels at her own physical and mental expense truly resonated with me. I also the Drew might be my favorite MMC of the series. This is one of those rare books where I was literally talking back to the characters because I was so invested! I can't wait to read more from the author and I wouldn't be opposed to a spin off series just so we can get a follow up peek at the 3 friends at the heart this.

Thank you to the author and the publisher for this copy.

I very much enjoyed this book! I love a good enemies to lovers story and Drew and London delivered. They were funny, sexy, successful! This was the first book I’ve read by Farrah Rochon, but I definitely will check out the others in the series!

Thank you to @readforeverpub and @hachetteaudio for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. And thank you @val_readsbooks for the buddy read and discussion!

While I missed thr friendship story with Samiah and Taylor that was present in the other books, I enjoyed London’s story in this third installment. I appreciate the maturity and respect that London and Drew showed one another. I was thankful for the lack of miscommunication beyond the beginning of the book. I loved their banter.

I did feel the language in the book was a bit crass at times. Not my cup of tea, but I’m sure it works for others.

Overall, it was an staisfying conclusion to the series, and I cannot wait to see what Rochon offers next.

I tried really hard but this book just isn’t doing it for me at all. 😩 There’s not enough tension in the enemies to lovers area. I’m not feeling any type of real conflict and hate from both of the characters. It’s pretty much one sided. After the second fade to black sex scene I was caught off guard. With these types of stories I want to read about all that tension transferring over in the bedroom. I love steamy and spicy enemies to lovers and this book isn’t delivering in that area for me.

The narrator was good voicing London, but I was a fan of her doing Drew’s voice.

I want to like this series so much. The rampant fatphobia is just too hard to get past. I also feel like the author didn’t do enough research on the medical profession. There is a lot of flaws in the way the FMC talks about her job to the point of it being laughable.

The Hookup Plan by Farrah Rochon is a delightful addition to the "The Boyfriend Project" series. This book centers around London, who is fiercely independent and has sworn off men after a string of bad relationships. However, when she is forced to work with her rival, Ian, on a project, she finds herself struggling to resist his charm.

The chemistry between London and Ian is electric, and their witty banter kept me engaged throughout the book. I love a good enemies to lovers romance and this was it!

What I enjoyed most about The Hookup Plan was how it seamlessly incorporated characters from previous books in the series. It was great to catch up with the previous couples and see what they were up to. The author does an excellent job of balancing the main romance with the secondary characters' stories, adding depth and richness to the novel.

Overall, The Hookup Plan is a fun, sexy, enemies-to-lovers romance that will leave you with a smile on your face. Farrah Rochon is an excellent writer, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a strong heroine and a swoon-worthy hero.

First off this is one of my favorite covers of 2022. Can I own this dress please? My favorite color plus the purple background - it totally pops. But beyond this cover this one just fell a little flat for me. I couldn’t get excited about the characters or plot line. Which is surprising knowing that I love an emeries to lovers and the set up for this is fun. But it ended up just okay.

I don’t think there is anyone from my high school life I would find myself randomly hooking up with in the near future (and definitely not one that turned out to be a millionaire). How on earth did London Kelley find herself hooking up with her high school arch nemesis, Drew Sullivan.

As far as romances go, this one wasn’t the cutest or spiciest for me. Drew and London just didn’t give me butterflies. And I felt kind of cheated with the spicy scenes. They had so much potential, but they left much to be desired and nothing substantial for the imagination. I figued I came in the middle of series, but I don’t think I am invested enough to go back and read the others. Unless it was about London’s mom, because she was interesting.

But my judgements about the romance elements aside, I did enjoy the commentary about familial relationships. There were so many dynamics to explore: London’s mom and stepmom being friends, the relationship with her father, London as such an older sibling, Drew and feeling like he missed out on his mom’s final days. I also enjoyed the friendship between London and her friends as well.

I also appreciated the separate storylines of London and Drew saving the world in their own ways, London as a doctor, and Drew as someone who puts his money where his heart is. Needless to say, I enjoyed the subplots way more than the romance itself, but that was disappointing because this is supposed to be the main plot. The side dishes were not enough to carry the main course.

Overall, I would NOT not recommend this book to readers. If you are a habitual romance reader, it’s not the worst, but it didn’t stir me as other romances have in the past.

My first five-star romance read of the year let's gooooooo!!!!

I absolutely adored this and I think it's a great romcom option for those who are looking. It made me laugh out loud multiple times, the love story made me swoon, and while it was lighthearted, it did have a few complicated and heavy subject matters that grounded it in reality.

I have said this before and I will say it again - I LOVE TO READ LOVE STORIES REVOLVING AROUND CAPABLE WOMEN. London is so intelligent, caring and funny. I love the reputation and goodwill she has cultivated for herself at the hospital. I love how even though she's a high-functioning and successful individual, she still has her own struggles she is facing. I love how Drew was SO INTO HER. So into her confidence, her drive, her star power. I want to read about more relationships like this!

I just think that London really got the chance to shine here and never had to dim herself for Drew or anyone like we are truly celebrating women who know what they want and I am obsessed.

London’s stress has been rising - her job as a paediatric surgeon is rewarding, but constant, and her friends suggest she get out from under her stress by getting under someone else. So when the opportunity arises with someone she knows but won’t have to see around, she takes it. Except he’s her high school rival, and head of the company now auditing and reviewing her hospital for a potential private sale. And since he’s been attracted to her since high school, he’s not looking to just destress.

I love London!! Her drive and passion for her work is incredible, and the empathy she shows to her coworkers is inspiring. Her stress level is also so relatable - I’m glad that her health was explored, even as someone who helps others.

I really loved that Drew had a little crush on London since high school - I loved their history as rivals and co-valedictorians and how each of them viewed their interactions differently.

That history helped give them foundation for London’s sexy stress relief, and I loved that Drew was all in, whatever he could get from her, from the beginning.

The conflict of him working to assess her hospital’s finances gave the perfect amount of tension, and I could’ve read about them for much longer!

I’m so happy that this is the book that rounds out this series, and that the friendship between London, Samiah and Taylor is still a pivotal part of this book. I’d highly recommend not only this book, but the entire series.

This was an incredibly creative book that encouraged women working together and friendship while including a very fun romance. While it wasn't entirely my cup of tea, I definitely think other romance readers will thoroughly enjoy this one.

I loved this story! London and Drew were so much fun - I was hooked from the beginning. The narrators were excellent - very engaging and great actors.

The third and final book of Farrah Rochon’s latest series was just as solid as the first two. I loved finally getting more insight into London and seeing how she was learning to balance the drive and ambition she has in her career with the realization that she longs for more connection with her friends and family. Her and Drew’s mutual pining, second chance, rivals to lovers story was everything I crave from those tropes. I only wish I had read this one sooner,

Narration: Really enjoyed the narrator and thought the casting was spot on.

Thanks to NetGalley and Hachette Audio for my copy to review.

I have loved every single one of Farrah Rochon’s books and The Hookup Plan was just as good as the others. The characters were dynamic and lovable and the plot was exciting yet relatable. I couldn’t put it down and haven’t stopped recommending it!

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy of this audiobook.

I am a sucker for a steamy enemies to lovers trope - and this did not disappoint, with the added flare of sass to boot. This was my first book by Rochon, and I am happy to say I immediately went to find other books to add to my TBR from her. I haven't read the other books in this series as they seem to be able to be read as standalones, but I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the previous books as I enjoyed the friendships and from my understanding the others in the series feature the same characters, and I do love a round journey through a group like that. I enjoyed the dual POV as both the love interests had good back stories and I enjoyed their separate journeys and growth as characters. I wanted a fun, sassy, sexy romance and this gave me all the goods. Also, hats off to the narrator, I really enjoyed listening.

The Hookup Plan
Farrah Rochon
Rating 4.0 stars

London is a no-nonsense, independent, career-driven pediatric surgeon. After a wild night and a one-night stand with nonother than her high school rival, she starts to see the world in a different light. She works in a county hospital that is looking to go the privatization route and she is determined to stop it, but wouldn't you know who heads up the team that will determine the future of said hospital... Her rival, Drew. There is something between them she refuses to acknowledge. Will she be open to a relationship knowing what that could mean to her career?

The narrator had a sassy voice which made her very endearing and I loved her portraying London. She gave the right amount of emotion and made me feel like London could be my friend. I did however have trouble differentiating when she did other characters. But her pace was well done as I could understand everything and I listened at a 2x speed.

I received this audiobook from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks so much Netgalley, the author & hatchette audio for this audiobook!

I enjoyed The Hookup Plan so SO much! I Haven't read the other two books in the series but I'm definitely going to have to now. Drew and London are my new favorite couple. They were just something else. My favourite enemies to lovers🥺

Something that was really enjoyable about the hookup plan was that I loved both of the characters on their own aswell. Their strong personalities, drive & issues all. Both were going through struggles of their own and I just a absolutely loved the way they came together.

TROPES: enemies to lovers, a workplace romance, and guy fall’s first.

Sadly, this book was not it for me. In The Hookup Plan we follow London, a hotshot resident who spends nearly all of her time working and has been a massive overachiever since school, and Drew, her high school rival turned successful business man as they slowly go from rivals to buddies with benefits and finally lovers and partners.

The love story itself followed the well-beloved rivals to lovers mold - one of them has already fallen (in the past) while the other will take some convincing to see that what they have could be in a real, loving relationship. We have quirky friends, steamy hookups, and familial issues. I mostly enjoyed all of these parts and I think they added some substance to the story.

However, there were just some glaring things I could not look over and that made me dislike the story and made it hard to finish (but I wanted to, cause I really don't like writing bad reviews and I was hopeful this could still end up being an okay, if not exactly a nice read). Here were my main issues with it:
- The almost clinical pushing of the idea that "healthy food" - whatever that means, honestly what a diet culture/consumerism look on things - "equals good health". We all know that it's not that simple and I can 100% see how this repetition of the very toxic idea would be triggering to so many. London's view on this whole thing was very "medical" in the sense that doctors and health professionals are sometimes so set in their archaic ways that they are unable to see how these ideas of a "healthy" lifestyle can cause mental as well as physical stress that ends up causing MORE harm than any "unhealthy" food ever could. Just NO.

- The absolutely problematic usage of the Narcissistic personality disorder. In the book, we have London consider later in the book that her father might have NPD because he was (and still is) sexist and neglectful towards her. NPD is still one of the most stigmatized and villainized mental illnesses and using it like that, to "explain" someone's terrible behaviour is not the way to go. London is a DOCTOR and while I know that sometimes those medical fields are not exactly kind towards personality disorders, a fictional character all about being aware and trying to do better in the world, should know better. Don't even get me started on how if you ARE to include a mental illness in your book, it should be informed and done respectfully and with sensitivity. That was not it and I cannot stress this enough. When will we stop stigmatizing mental illnesses????

- The whole "my underage sister wanted to send out nudes" subplot. I still don't see the point of it (to show that London needs to pay more attention to her siblings?? To show that her dad is an ass? I don't know) and it was NOT handled well. London's main concern was how the boy who was supposed to be the recipient could've sent those out and how they could've ruined her life and her advice was "don't do it". Which was just a bit icky since a solution to revenge porn is usually not "just don't do it". It's not that simple, which we all know, and patriarchy and sexism ingrained in our society have a lot more to do with it - and wouldn't childhood pornography laws be just as big of an issue here? Her sister was underage.
Anyways just a very poorly handled subplot.

All in all, this book was not for me. It had unnecessary elements to it that I believe were problematic and handled with lack of sensitivity and care, which could've easily been avoided or fixed during edits.
