This book is cute. I somehow missed the first Blue Badger book, so I'll have to find that to read. Reminiscent of I Want My Hat Back but nobody is getting eaten in this book. I wish there had been a page of Dog telling Badger that he lost his ball rather than just saying he lost something, because when Badger tells Owl that its a ball, I was left wondering if I had missed something.

Blue Badger and the Big Breakfast is a really fun story about a big badger and dog, who has lost his ball. I loved the simple illustrations and how cute all the animals were! I liked how Owl was so wise. Cute story

Blue Badger and the Big Breakfast was an enjoyable book for myself and my child. We picked up right away that Badger was carrying a blue tennis ball with his blueberries, but did not notice the small detail on what happens to the ball until the very end. Going back to find the tennis ball throughout the story made for a fun sort of treasure hunt for my child. A good story and fun illustrations!

Again a weird entry in this series, as the black and white (and blue) Badger scoffs his way through a mountain of blue berries, only mildly distracted by his friends and the fact Dog has lost his blue ball. The Owl says every thing along the lines of "Hakuna matata" without using those exact words, the end. OK there's a smidge more to it, but only a smidge. I thought the first book had a peculiar way of making its lesson a bit too dense for the average picture book user, and this is a further step along that path. Since when did dourness become such an appealing quirk for the very young?

This is the second book in the Blue Badger series and like the first I thought it was rather entertaining. Has a great lesson in friend and also admitting to your errors in a fun easy way children will understand

This reminds me of "This is Not My Hat" in all the best ways. A badger eats a mountain of blueberries for breakfast. And then finds out his friend, dog, is missing his favorite tennis ball. His favorite...blue...tennis ball.

My kid spotted the tennis ball pretty early in the book, even before I noticed it or the book told us something was missing. Then it became a little seek-and-find (my kid's FAVORITE thing in a picture book) and a great inside joke, as we watched Badger fret about eating his friend's favorite toy.

The ending keeps up that inside joke, while also giving a feel-good resolution for Badger and Dog.

And now my kid wants blueberries.

A great time!

This is an adorable book about solving a problem and having fun in the process. I really enjoyed this book and will be reading more of Jones in the future.

Beautiful illustrations, but unfortunately this book missed the mark for me. I loved the first page of the book with its lyrical text and was happily anticipating that the rest of the story would continue in this way, unfortunately it did not. The concept is very cute, and I especially like how the reader has to use picture clues to deduce what happened, but the execution could have been much better.

Thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for the advance digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

A very colourful and fun book with an entertaining story line.
'Blue Badger and the Big Breakfast' is beautifully illustrated and full of blocked colours, this will surely be another aesthetically pleasing book for your shelves.

Packed with comical moments to entertain the grownups this book follows a hide and seek method to engage children to participate in the storyline and solve the Badger's problem.

I was gifted a digital copy of 'Blue Badger and the Big Breakfast' in exchange for a fair and honest review.

An adorable sequel to Blue Badger.

Each Blue badger book has a lovely moral for all children and this one is no exception.
The moral is we all make mistakes. Badger is eating his blueberries, Dog is searching for his blue ball and Badger is worried he has eaten it.

The drawings are brilliant just like the first one. The whole book has these bright colourful backgrounds with a wondeful slash of blue over badger from the berries which really adds this charm to it.
I feel they took the feedback from the first one and adapted it and changed it for this one and it certainly is better and alot more appealing.
