Morgan is a fashionista, I liked her nature and what she has built with the teen foster home.
Drake is a real estate developer, loved his character and how he was portrayed. There were difficulties but he turns out best. He is swoon worthy.

Both their storyline was good. They are competing for the same property for reasons that are genuine and is difficult to choose one. The author brought up an important issue that will get you thinking and nicely highlights it.

Aiden and Addison are cute and Dreamy too. I liked all side characters. I don't like Morgan's mom, why she had to be pushy. Her name and description screamed trouble.

It was filled with humour. The chemistry between MCs was lit. The second chance romance in this was good with character growth. Family dynamics and using the opportunity that comes your way was done well. This was a cute book.

It felt the start went too fast but considering what was the past, it seemed correct for the plot. This was a page turner and a quick read. Some bits were not aligning to what was said earlier and that is the only thing that didn't work for me.

I recommend this book. Overall it was enjoyable.

This book started out with promise for me, but then fell a bit flat. I had trouble connecting to the characters.

This was a very cute book about one of my favourite tropes, second-chance romance. We see college sweethearts Morgan and Drake reunite as adults while competing for a commercial property. I thought they were a cute couple and I loved seeing them together. I loved the comedy aspects of the story and laughed out loud on a few occasions. Overall all a very cute read.

So glad I made time to grab this even though I missed the pre publication cut off. Sharon is hitting her stride with romcoms- enjoyed this one even more than the first book in the series. I’m a big fan of second chance romances.

Morgan and Drake are competing for the opportunity to purchase the same building. One for family reasons and one for the use of a non-profit. As the competition heats up, there may be heat building up in other areas of their lives. Perhaps the building isn’t the ultimate prize.

I enjoyed the romance in this book. Morgan and Drake cheered for each other, and paid attention to each other’s dreams. The competitions were also fun considering Morgan is a lot like me by not being overly athletic but stubborn as all get out!

love second-chance romances, so I was super excited to get to review In It to Win It by Sharon Cooper. Morgan and Drake were college sweethearts who find themselves back in contact when they are interested in the same piece of property. As they compete for the chance to buy the property, the competition gets more intense than either of them expected – in more ways than one. I enjoyed this story and the competitions were pretty funny and I found myself chuckling along with their shenanigans several times. I enjoyed their journey of growth and coming to a new understanding of each other and what they each had been dealing with over the years. Overall, a nice new addition to Cooper’s connected rom-com world.

This one was definitely one that I enjoyed! I loved that Morgan could have been written as a spoiled and entitled brat from her upbringing but was written with so much heart for doing good for others in need. The entitled plot with female characters where they are just spoiled bothers me so much so I loved that this one didn’t have that at all.

I also loved the second chance romance and how it was done as it felt so real and something to root for!

Thank you so much Berkley romance for my ARC copy of this one!

“It was a great reminder that everyone had insecurities. Some that only they could see.”

Morgan and Drake met and fell in love in college, until Morgan disappeared. Just left. No goodbye, no explanation. And she left Drake, who was raising his little twin siblings, heartbroken and lost.

Ok I really liked this book in the beginning. The twins are feisty and so fun and I really enjoyed their banter and their roasting of Drake. I laughed out loud multiple times! But Morgan annoyed me a bit. And when she reentered Drake’s life when they’re both interested in the same prime piece of real estate, I felt it was inauthentic how easily he allowed her back in. She raked him over the coals, man. Broke. His. Heart. And he’s just like ya welcome back?! Hmm not sure about that.

Overall a good second chance multicultural love story, if a little unbelievable at times. I did really love how it ended, though! 😍

Thank you to Netgalley, Berkley Publishing, and the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Morgan and Drake are both fighting for the same property, but both for a good reason. Morgan is passionate about the foster care program and Drake raised his twin siblings since they were two. The property in question would be the perfect building to start Morgan's non-profit to help age children out of foster care, however, the building has sentimental value to Drake. Also, did I mention they dated in college? This is such a beautiful second-chance romance that will have you swooning. The side characters made this story so much fun.

DNF at 35 percent. I loved the author's first book in the series, but this one didn't fascinate me much. I am really sad, as I was really excited about Morgan's book after being introduced to her in the first installment. I love Sharon C. Cooper's writing style, so hopefully I'll enjoy reading her upcoming novels.

Thankyou so much to Berkley for the opportunity to review. <3

Initially, I thought I was going to really like this book. I am definitely a sucker for second chance romance. While the book started off really strong, it somewhat fell flat towards the end.

The setup of the story is really great. We have young lovers who end up running into one another many years later when they are competing for a piece of property. Where the story begins to decline, for me, is the actual competition. I found myself really not caring about the book anymore and was just trying to push through the get finished. On the other hand, I can't identify what it was really missing just yet.

I am interested in other work by this author.

3.75 stars. After enjoying Business Not as Usual so much earlier this year, I was excited to read Morgan's story, and it does not disappointment. In It to Win It is just as fun, joyful, and sexy as I could hope. The business subplot didn't move me in any kind of way (and in some ways brought out the less attractive traits of our male lead), but as a device to throw our leads together, it does its job. I had a great time with this second chance romance — there are plenty of swoons!

My thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you @PRHAudio for the complimentary audiobook and thank you @netgalley @berkleypub @letstalkbookspromo for my digital copy! My thoughts are my own.

This second chance romance is entertaining from the very beginning, with a hilarious (and terrifying) meet-cute -involving a 𝙎𝙋𝙄𝘿𝙀𝙍 🕷️- leading to a whirlwind courtship that includes competing in a marathon! The characters in this book are all really likable and the storyline is original. I especially liked Drake’s siblings!

MORGAN is a spoiled rich girl with a not-so-spoiled attitude about helping others. There is a lot of name-dropping of expensive fashion brands but Morgan’s mission to provide for teen girls coming out of foster care is a win for me. Years ago, Morgan left her college boyfriend, Drake, when she discovered his responsibilities. Now, Morgan regrets that impulsive decision.

After the tragic deaths of his parents, a young DRAKE was left to raise his twin siblings alone. Somehow he made it through college, even surviving heartbreak when his girlfriend deserted him. Now, Drake owns a successful real estate business, but he has never forgotten Morgan. He hasn’t forgiven her either.

Morgan and Drake resolve their issues pretty quickly but they seem to have a large number of mishaps, usually involving lots of yelling and screaming, and Drake coming to the rescue. This one is also pretty steamy, which is not my personal preference!

But don’t let my preferences stop you from reading this one, especially if you enjoy second-chance romance, lively characters, insta-love, and spice!

Morgan comes from a famous and successful family. She can easily rely on her family’s name and money to get ahead in life but she wants to do it on her own. Her dream of opening a home for foster children is almost a reality. She found the perfect property but the owner wants her to compete for it and when she discovers it is her ex-boyfriend, Drake, everything changes.

Drake is not happy to discover he has to compete for the property. Morgan really did a number on him years ago. Being this close to her is bringing up a lot of emotions that he is unsure of how to deal with. The property is more important to him than anything so he is willing to put up a fight even if it is against the woman he still possibly loves.

Here is the thing with this story it is all over the place. The connection between Morgan and Drake is undeniable. They still have it. However, it is overshadowed by the competition. I get it. I really get it. We (the readers) are supposed to get a glimpse into their lives and the passion for the property. It just takes over at time when I felt the author could have delve more into the romance between them. I didn’t care about their careers or the property if I’m being completely honest.

The biggest concern that I had was how the romance unfolded. Drake and Morgan have this past where there was a lot unsaid. Basically, Morgan ended things without really explaining to Drake why. It felt that the love came back instantly which contradicts how they originally ended. They went straight back into their relationship. There is no real conflict resolution. The author tells us they are in love again and all is well. The story didn’t unfold neatly like most romances and I find that to be the case when an author tells rather than shows.

Overall, A nice, fun and sweet romance for those who need to get a quick read in.

I really loved Business Not as Usual and I was excited to read this one featuring Karson’s sister, Morgan.
.
Morgan never had to worry about money, or much of anything. She’s trying to turn it all around and do something bigger and that’s why she wants this property which would be perfect for kids aging out of the foster care system, but there’s a problem. There is a competitive buyer.
.
The other buyer is no other than Drake. Drake, the man she loved and left in college without a word. Drake the man who is raising his younger siblings (who are great side characters), is somehow her competition as the eccentric owner of the building makes the potential buyers compete in a competition for the building. In no shocking twist they win the grand prize, their rekindled romance and the epilogue is pure joy. Yes, it’s all tied up neatly with a fantastic HEO and that is exactly what I need right now!
.

Huge thank you to @berkleypub @berittalksbooks @thephdivabooks @dg_reads and @netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the ease of this second chance romance between Morgan and Drake! This gave me the HEA that I was truly looking for. These two pulled it together despite past gut feelings and apprehension. I loved the way they loved each other and how protective over their relationship they both were! So happy to have had a chance to read this book! ,

I love a second chance romance! There's history and obstacles already there to overcome and a love that is still there cause it wasn't the problem.. Sometimes it's timing.

They were in love in college and it didn't work out for her and she left. So when they meet again when bidding for the same property they are surprised. Both are very invested in the property but the owner is making them and others interested pass a few tests first.

Morgan the FMC who is a skilled fashion designer but has chosen to start a non-profit for kids in the foster system that are about to age out have a safety net and resources if they aren't as adopted. This is such a great np idea and I think it's really important to care for them instead of just releasing them to possibly live on the streets.

Drake has been caring for his twin brother and sister since they were toddlers and their parents passed away. They are now teens and helping with his relationship and with funny sibling banter.

Morgan and Drake were college sweethearts until Morgan ran away to Europe and ghosted Drake. They hadn’t talked since then, until they find themselves competing for a real estate property. Now they are competing in an Iron Man style competition and are having to face their pasts and each other.

This was a fun and sweet second Chance romance. I personally really related to Morgan, especially all of the hilarious scenes where she fell. She struggles a bit with letting Drake all the way in, is fiercely independent, and has a tendency to run when things get hard, or when she is feeling not good enough. Yet she has the biggest heart and wants to help others and make a difference. Then there’s Drake, who is so selfless and giving and was such a gem of a human. I loved the characters and how they came back together and you could tell they grew, especially Morgan. It did surprise me how quickly Drake let the past go and fell back in love with Morgan. The one thing that bothered me was the twist at the end, and that’s because it is a certain plot twist that always frustrates me (but that is a personal preference).

Thank you to Berkley Publishing for the advance copy and to @berittalksbooks and @dg_reads for another great buddy read!

Spoiled, fickle, and prissy are only a few of the adjectives that have been used to describe Morgan Redford. Though she’s never had to worry about money, she’s determined to make a name for herself on her own terms. Her new venture won’t be an epic fail like her former professional cuddling service or the short-lived pet hotel. This time, through the nonprofit she cofounded, Morgan is doing something meaningful—helping teens who are aging out of foster care—and she’s got her eye on a property that could house these kids. But the competition is steep, and one of the bidders is someone she never expected. . . .
When real estate developer Drake Faulkner learns that his ex—the one who ghosted him years ago—is a potential buyer for the property his eccentric mentor is selling, his competitive streak amps up. No way is he letting her win the property he wants. Bitter? Yes. Petty? Probably. But his mentor has a stipulation: potential buyers must participate in an Ironman competition of sorts for the property. Drake refuses to play along with this ridiculous demand, until he discovers Morgan has signed up. If Little Miss Can’t Run a Block Without Gasping for Air is doing it, he will too. But as the gauntlet of games heats up and forces them to face the past, they are met with a pull that feels all too familiar.
This is a second chance romance.
Morgan is different from what she used to be. She is amazing and volunteers for children who have aged out of foster care.
Drake is still in love with her but he doesn't trust her.
I have never read a book by this author before but I'll be on the lookout for some more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion of this book which I read and reviewed voluntarily.
