Beautifully written, I really enjoyed Tucker and Blakely interactions. They were funny and I loved their banter.

Sophie has a way of writing a story that completely captivates the reader and bring them into her world and this book was no different.

Loved it

Sophie Sinclair is one of my favorites and I love these characters! She always writes the best romances!
I love enemies to lovers and small town romances. Blakley and Tucker despise each other and first, but soon find that they actually don't mind spending time together. The town of Greyson Gap, NC is perfect!! I can't wait for the next book.

I tend to iterate quite often that the writing has a lot to do with books that are essentially boy-meets-girl, things are initially annoying, but then there is some form of happily-ever-after in store for them. I really enjoyed the author's narrative style and flew through the book. The only thing I did not like was probably the dramatic first reactions the pair voiced for each other, I almost did not want to go ahead, but the tone of the rest of the book was different enough that I had to mention it.
When one appreciates the writing, it is easier to like the characters being described to you. Blakely is worn out, and just when she thinks things are going well, the strangest drawback occurs at a party she put together. This has her running to take some downtime in a remote location. She ends up with a roommate who annoyed and intrigued her in equal parts. Tucker is a local hero of sorts, and he struggles with maintaining that image. Everyone knows his story and having a new person in town means he can start fresh with her at least.
It was a well-rounded story, I wanted them to figure things out, and I liked Blakely's growth arc in finding a new pace for her life.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

This was a little quirky and over the top, which some small town romance fans may really enjoy! It was cute but it wasn’t a book that just swept me away.

This book started off a bit slow for me. Maybe it is just because I have so many other things on the go, but I found myself going days at a time without reading it. Once I got in to it though, I couldn't put it down. I grew up in a small town and really connected to the small town charm/feel of the book. I also thoroughly enjoyed the opposites attract thing that Blakely and Tucker had going on. I was glad to learn that this is the first book in the Greyson Gap series. I am excited to read the rest of the books in this series!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. #WhereTheRiverTakesYou #NetGalley

I absolutely love Sophie Sinclair’s books and I’m so happy I finally read Where the River Takes You.

Why should you read this?
* opposites attract- Tucker and Blakely were complete opposites and their banter was hilarious
* the small quirky town had me giggling the whole time, I never knew what to expect from Etta and her crew
* forced proximity- who doesn’t want to be stuck in a cabin on the water with a sexy ex MLB star?
* an adorable dog- he’s always up to something driving Blakely up the wall

This was such a fun, light romance that I highly recommend you check out! It was a great set up for more books in the series too. I can’t wait to go back to Greyson Gap for Junie’s story!

I loved this story! I am a small town girl, so when I saw this story was set in a small mountain town in North Carolina, I jumped on the chance to read it. Blakely Mayfield's life falls apart in Atlanta and her best friend offers to let her stay in her house in Greyson Gap for the summer. But, surprise, there is a roommate... her best friend's cousin. Of course, there is friction and problems, but the romance is worth the wait. The bantering between the characters was entertaining and the people in town were amazing and hilarious. I love how Sophie touches on anxiety, mental health and panic attacks in this story. Definitely a must-read.

This was the perfect small town romance and I cannot say enough wonderful things! Blakely and Tucker start off as enemies but quickly find that they love spending time together. I love seeing their romance evolve into something neither can deny.

And can we talk about the town of Greyson Gap and it’s wonderful and eclectic characters. They drew you in and made you want to stick around.

There were so many times I was laughing out loud and wanting more! Please read!! You will love it!!

A new to me author and a wonderful escape read to Greyson Gap, NC. The cover did draw me in, but the words and story kept me reading. I adore the small-town, slow burn story.

Blakely and Tucker kept me entertained with their antics and banter. After getting off on the wrong foot, will things turn around? Can they be roommates? The secondary characters make this story, adding to the enjoyment.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

During an event the whole guest list gets food poisoning and event planner Blakely takes the blame, her business partner suggests she take a vacation until the dust settles. Enter the small town of Greyson’s Gap, where her friend offered up her home. What she didn’t know was that it wasn’t empty.

Her roommate ex-baseball player Tucker enjoys the simple life. Fishing, hiking and camping is just a part of him.

While Blakely gets embraced by the community they become invested in her getting together with Tucker, the towns most eligible bachelor.

This was such a fun small town romance, with quirky characters who of course meddled endlessly.

I loved the banter between Tucker and Blakely and her journey from a high strung Type A chore chart overachiever to finding calm in the slower paced living.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Blakey and Tucker. Blakey is taking a couple of months off to rest from her event planning company. Tucker is a retired baseball player, ranch hand and construction company owner. There is an instant attraction when they meet. Blakey and Tucker land up being roommates. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

I recieved an ARC from netgalley for my honest review of this book.
Sophie Sinclair books and me certainly go together i guess and so does small town romances . i had so much fun with their banter and chemistry. It did get a little slow in the middle but it picked right up . i love a good old book with forced proximity and banter and I'd definitely reread it in the future.

The opening scene proves that Mayo is an abomination and should be forbidden. Utter and complete chaos from Mayo. What an opening that had me alternating laughing and covering my mouth in horror.

I loved this book and it was just what I needed. Low in drama, high in humor and steam, and a small-town setting that made me feel right at home. After finishing it I was sad that Greyson Gap, nestled in the mountains of NC, doesn’t really exist. It felt like home.

I loved the enemies to lovers banter between the 2 MC, the forced proximity from having to share a house, and all the found family. Bhodi had me snort laughing because he was just so over the top clueless and in his own world, doing his own thing. He’s the neighbor that would grate on your very last nerve and cause a perma eye twitch, but as an outsider, I found him quite comical. And I petition all small town romances must come with an adorable dog.

The dialogue between Tucker and Blakey was snappy and humorous and kept the story flowing while waiting for the payoff from the slow burn. The wait was well worth it because the author did not hold back on the steam.

I’m sorry I waited so long to review Where the River Takes You. It is perfect for a lazy summer afternoon with a glass of ice cold sweet tea and the sound of running water nearby. It’s available in KU. Even though summer is coming to an end, I encourage you to pick this one up. It will leave you feeling refreshed and smiling and would be a great pick me up.

Where the River Takes You was absolutely adorable and it is the most I’ve laughed while reading a book ALL year. I got very strong “The Proposal” vibes from this one. It is full of sneaky, meddling, well-meaning geriatrics and downright hilarious family members who are all desperate for the two main characters to get together. Blakely is a bit of a control freak, who’s hobbies include organizing and stress-vacuuming and her favorite color is white. She is living to work and absolutely miserable doing it, but doesn’t realize this until there’s a big blow up in her career, bringing her from Atlanta to Greyson Gap, NC. I saw a lot of this girl in myself and nothing made me happier than to see her to grab the YOLO mentality and run with it. Then there’s Tucker- an honorable guy who, very willingly, gave up his pro baseball career to move back and help his family. He’s started his own business, comes to his family’s aid on a minute’s notice, and even still maintains their family ranch. It seems like he’s absolutely thriving until Blakely, his unexpected neat freak of a roommate shows up, and changes everything. This guy was determined to scare her off and the things he tried to do to spook her were so entertaining! The way these two fell in love was sneaky… they slowly weaseled their way into each other’s lives until there was no turning back. This was an adorable love story with a few very spicy scenes that were perfection! I highly recommend this to anyone that loves an enemies to lovers, close proximity, small town romance.

Where are my romance and romcom lovers at!?! Or anyone who loves a fast-paced story that combines humor, strong women, and a whole lotta steam!

From the very beginning I just wanted to move to Greyson's Gap just so I could hang out with this amazing cast of characters!

Like all her other books, Sophie Sinclair writes a story that has you wanting to jump into the pages! There is always a bunch of laugh-out-loud moments, quirky characters, heart, friendship, and just the best kind of storyline to lose yourself in.

But the best part, like in all her books, are the real characters that take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions making your heart melt, has you getting good and angry, crying, and almost peeing your pants laughing - Oh the humor in this story is just the best! And I just loved the way I was able to relate and connect with each character.

As for the romance...This is an enemies to lovers that brings all the steam and tension I love!

If you are looking for a slow burn romance with tension, small town drama, then this book is for you.

Thanks NetGalley and publisher for the e-ARC!

This book so far is the closest of new adult small town romance that brought me the feel of warm and calm when I'm reading it. The slow burn romance, tension, and kinda long pining to each other from both of MCs are to dying for. Not to mention how great and entertaining it is to see their banter and antics to drive each other crazy at first to resists what their heart wants till they're being honest to each other. I love all the characters in the town, they're all so alive, quirky, and hilarious, and that's what brings the town truly come alive! I admire some of the town's wise words too from GT and Etta. Overall, this book is a good one to pick to relax and enjoy yourself in the weekend.

I really enjoyed this story it was a cute and fun read. The characters, aside from the main two, more on that in a bit. were likeable and had personality. The one thing that was very annoying about this book was how many times the main male love interest smirked. It was almost as if every interaction with the two main characters he was smirking. Surely there are other ways to describe him, and the female main character kept on focusing on the guy's tight butt. It just got repetitive.

You'll love this story if you like reading stories full of gritty language and explicit romantic scenes. This is not my standard genre, what I did like about it: first impressions are not always the best measurement to judge a person's character and family is the people who love and invest in you - not necessarily blood relatives.

When first I reading the book, somehow I feel relieve, calming and relax. An enemies-lover trope that doesn't feel like it is.

It's a slow burn romance and I enjoyed both MC Blakely & Tucker. their interaction are very adorable and doesn't really over the top. other characters also very well done written and I love the little spice as well..

All I can say this book is really sweet, charming and hilarious. despite there is a bit minor issue with pacing that for me a kinda too long at first but I really love how the author could bring us to picture the small town and be part of them.

If you looking for a lighthearted romance with necessary drama and could pull you in like you are in a small town with nature around, this is a right book for you.

I loved the way Sophie engaged the other residents of the town by making them involved in the story like the feud between Etta and the lady who wants to use the toilet always. The constant swirl of gossip keeps the town like what a small town should be, “everyone in everyone’s business”

Slow paced and fine story telling.
