I loved the way Sophie engaged the other residents of the town by making them involved in the story like the feud between Etta and the lady who wants to use the toilet always. The constant swirl of gossip keeps the town like what a small town should be, “everyone in everyone’s business”

Slow paced and fine story telling.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC of Where the River Takes You.

I am happy to report that Sophie Sinclair has started a new series! The first installment of the Greyson Gap set was great. It had a feel good vibe while Blakely found her way on a path she hadn’t planned for and Tucker reconciled that his wants and needs were changing.

I enjoyed the bantering dialogue and humor of this book. I am not the biggest Enemies to Lovers fan and this one was a heavy dose in the beginning. I enjoyed the plot and evolution of the characters. I’m super excited to read the next book!

A lovely small-town romance with plenty of funny moments. I liked the hint of slow burn, which turned into friends-with-benefits. The characters felt realistic, and the town was almost like a character itself. I enjoyed this and will keep an eye out for other stories by Sophie Sinclair in the future!

This is my first time reading this author and she just might be my new favorite. It's been along time since I enjoyed a character as much as I have Blakely. She's sweet, endearing, OCD, and just plain cute. Her humor is off the charts specially when she's talking to Tucker. Sweet story with a HEA.

When perfectionist event planner Blakely Mayfield makes a big mistake at work, she desperately needs a break. Luckily, her best friend offers to let her stay in her house in the small mountain town of Greyson Gap, NC. It’s perfect, it’s quiet, it’s idyllic. That is until she realizes the house unexpectedly comes with a roommate. Tucker Greyson, the annoying but handsome former baseball star, is exactly what Blakely doesn’t want or need in her life. Can they temporarily share a space without killing each other?

I was so happy to learn about a new Sophie Sinclair book! Her books always make me laugh out loud and feel so much joy. This one is no different. The townspeople are wacky, the mishaps are hilarious, and the sexual tension is off the charts. I could not get enough of Blakely, Greyson, and the whole town of Greyson Gap.

Read this book for:
-forced proximity
-small town
-fantastic banter
-fishing, camping, and cattle ranching
-nosey townspeople

There are so many opportunities for more books set in Greyson Gap and I want them all!

I truly enjoyed this enemies to lovers, small town, romantic comedy.. I have really enjoyed Sophie's Sinclair's novels in the past and this one was no different. It had me laughing out loud and cheering on the characters throughout. I really could relate to one of the main character's, Blakely's perfectionism and her want to let herself go and enjoy life. I also loved that it was a book about finding yourself as well as love. It helped remind me that that even on the days that you may think that one event is the end of everything and could ruin your life, sometimes things happen for a reason and they could lead to something you never know you needed in your life. The only reason I gave this book 4 instead of 5 stars is because it felt rushed at the end and I wanted more. On a side note, the cover of this book is absolutely beautiful. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.

I have loved Sophie’s writing since I found The Coffee Girl series a couple years ago and while those books are still my some of my favorite books I’ve read. I absolutely adored Where the River Takes You.⁣

This was such a feel good, laugh out loud, swoonworthy small town romance, enemies to lovers with forced proximity. The chemistry and banter between Blakey and Tucker was perfection. The snarky banter thrown had me cracking up. ⁣

Tucker helps his family on their ranch near Asheville, NC in the Smokies. He has a dog name Herschel that loves to cause trouble and a quirky, close knit family. ⁣

Blakely is a city gal, who’s type A and needed a quick getaway and ends up in this small town not knowing a soul. ⁣

These two couldn’t be any more opposite but somehow they complement each other perfectly.⁣

Also there are some hilarious elderly people who can’t keep their nose out of anyones business that just make this even funnier. ⁣
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an e-ARC of this book - all opinions are my own!

I am SUCH a fan of Sophie Sinclair and when I saw she was releasing a new series, I jumped at the chance to read Book 1! Overall, I really enjoyed this book, as it is quintessential Sophie… filled with great banter, lovable characters, amazing steam, and secondary characters that bring so much life to the story.

Read this book if you love:

💘 a quirky heroine with OCD and a hunky hero who used to be a pro baseball player and now works on his family’s farm
💘 small town romance with amazing secondary characters and nosy old ladies who like the Bachelorette
💘 an adorable pup who steals the show

My only downfalls for this book were sometimes the story was a but slow and/or over the top in some ways, but I still really enjoyed it and I can’t wait for Junie’s book!

I didn't completely dislike it, but it wasn't my favorite. I don't even know if I can pinpoint exactly why. I think it might have been partly the writing style and partly that I just didn't really like Blakely's personality. The banter should have been cute but most of the time just came off as petty. It was a cute small town read though and I'm curious about some of the side characters.

My favorite thing about this book was the adorable, quirky town of Greyson Gap. I loved the charming small town feel, with all the quaint shops, annoying neighbors, and well meaning but interfering older ladies. Like Blakely, I could see leaving life in the city behind to escape to a quieter life for a few months.

Was so excited to see a new book from Sophie Sinclair! This is an opposites attract romance. Blakely is a event planner and a perfectionist. She plans everything in great detail. She has an event go south and heads to Greyson Gap to stay in a friends cabin to lay low for awhile. Turns out Tucker is staying in that cabin also. Tucker grew up in this town and has been back for a bit from retiring for pro baseball. They are complete opposites but have an immediate attraction even though they think they hate each other. Their banter is great and the side characters are hilarious. Tucker is encouraged to drive her crazy to get her out of town, but as you can imagine things don't go as planned.

I absolutely adored this small town romcom and this is certainly of the kind that make the readers grin almost entire book. It is perfect for opposites attract and forced proximity trope readers. Type A, Blakely comes to this small town in NC to relax and calm herself after a disaster at her business and meets Tucker, who is such an ideal hero, can he be bad in anything at all? The sassy and witty banter between them was simply cute and adorable. I liked how Blakely grows personality wise after her vacation. More than anything, it was just heartwarming and a perfect summer read.

Where the River takes You is a gem of a story, full of great characters and humour and real laugh out moments but basically a lovely romance.
Blakey has come to small town Greysons Gap North Carolina at her business partner Liz’s insistence for a break from her events managing business after an event disaster where everyone suffered from food poisoning.
She stays at a house her Atlanta roommate owns not knowing there is another guest staying there. Blakey basically has OCD, a complete neat freak and has to be in complete control. When she discovers her roommates cousin Tucker is also staying at the house as he has also rented his own local house out she completely stresses out.
These two completely clash, Tucker doesn’t care about mess etc and certainly won’t adhere to Blakey’s rota of chores.
But they are obviously attracted to each other and slowly start a relationship. This is not just a romance, it’s small town life and the characters that make it special. With some sparkling and funny dialogue and some scenes that are laugh out loud moments(the hairdressers) this book is throughly entertaining and I was sad to finish it.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

A new author for me and I absolutely loved this book, Blakely is OCD and takes everything on herself, to the point of almost having a breakdown, when she runs into Tucker who ends up being her housemate. Full of great one liners and funny quips., this small town romance involves the whole town as everyone plays a part in getting our couple together. Looking forward to meeting up with Etta and the other great characters again in Junie’s story.

Very cute and addicting small town romance which I flew through. Tucker Grey was a wonderful book boyfriend who checked all the boxes for being swoonworthy. I struggled with relating to Blakely at times with her extreme type A personality but grew to like her as the book continued. The support characters and overall charm of the town was an added bonus. Did not disappoint.

I just adored this book! It's such a fun story and the characters make it memorable! It could totally be a cute Hallmark movie, but has a lot more steam!

Blakely is a super organized party planner who is on a mandated vacation after a food poisoning at her last event. She drives to Greystone Gap for rest and relaxation at her friend, Junie's, river house, only to find she's sharing it with the rude guy she met down the road while asking for directions. It's a fun, small town rom-com with totally laugh out loud moments. One of those books that kept me smiling the entire time reading it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

This was my first book by Sophie Sinclair and it definitely won’t be my last! I really loved the hero and heroine and that it was a dual POV. And, I absolutely loved all of the side characters in the small town of Greyson Gap. Blakey heads to Greyson Gap to take a break from her busy life (and a disaster) in Atlanta. She ends up accidentally rooming with Tucker who is her complete opposite. This forced proximity, opposites attract romance was such a fun one to read! I cannot wait for more books in this series because I did not want to say goodbye to these characters!

I really loved this sweet small town, opposites attract, finding yourself romance.

It’s a bit of a slow burn. Blakely and Tucker have sparks flying! They bicker and don’t like each other at first and how their relationship builds is so much fun. I love the little adventures they go on!

The side characters are all top knotch! Crazy old sassy ladies who are hilarious, to new friends found along the way! This book was definitely entertaining and I loved it!

"I think I would like the river to take me home where I belong."
"And where is that?"
"Here. I belong here."
"Yes, you do."

Rating: 4.5/5

Where The River is basically the plot of a Hallmark movie with more laughs and steam (a.k.a my ideal combo 👏🏻). What happens when Blakely, a high-strung event planner who counts organisation as her most fun hobby is ordered to take a summer vacation and has to share a house with Tucker, an ex-baseball player and cocky small-town boy?

Here's what to expect:
- City girl x "sinfully sexy" small town boy
- Dual POV
- Summer romance
- Enemies to lovers
- Forced proximity (housemates) to heighten that sweet sweet tension.
- Found family
- A mischievous dog
- Small town shenanigans, complete with characters like Etta Bird, GT and Creepy Carl.
- So many laugh-out-loud moments: "You're like Martha Stewart on crack."
- Amazing chemistry: "I'm drowning and I can't breathe, just from his touch."
- Excellent banter, as Tucker knew how to push her buttons!
- Cute nicknames, like Smiles, Blake and Blakely May 🥹.
- YOLO

I just loved these two. It was a delight to see people-pleasing Blakely finally let go and find what truly brings her joy. She was so endearing and relatable, from her honest therapy experience to getting flustered telling Tucker she wants to do casual but doesn't know how. Tucker oozed small-town charm and confidence and I adored how he slowly pushed Blakely out of her comfort zone. The amount of swoony moments I highlighted is concerning 😂. These two were just perfect for each other and their love story was so heartwarming, in case that wasn't obvious ❤️.

Thank you so much to Sophie Sinclair and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book.

This has to be one of my favorite reads of the year. I love Sophie Sinclair's writing style and how she makes her characters feel so real. Like any minute I can run into one if them or call them up. I absolutely loved it and want to read it again. Blakely and Tucker are perfect for each other. I loved the banter between the two and the chemistry between them is off the charts.
