The mystery and set up for the next book was so good! The plot was so intriguing and interesting. I can’t wait to read the next one. This series is so fun and Apollo and Cassandra were such a great couple.

Another great chapter to the the Dark Olympus story. Apollo and Cassandra are absolutely phenomenal together. I enjoyed the romance, and the spice, but it felt very fast compared to the previous stories. I still give the romance five stars.

If I could change one thing it's be the plot hole at the end of the last fight. Cassandra and Apollo both knew Theseus had to declare something, and yet neither thought "hey, maybe we should gag the guy". And Cassandra had a tire iron in her hand when she saw him coming around and she knew what he was about to say, yet she didn't think to try and knock him out. I know it was needed to set up the next book but it seems like such a big thing to over look. That being said, while it was an annoying part, the main part of this book is the relationship and if you are looking for a spicey read, this is a winner!

Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the arc!

I didnt realize i'd be jumping back into the world of Dark Olympus so soon and while I wish this was fleshed out just a little more, I am excited for whatever comes next bc I need to know who the actual big bad is going to be, like nowww.

Let's be real, this was a solid four stars, the romance was SWEET and the plot was GOOD. I wish we got more build up between the MCs before they were thrown into this forced proximity scheme and then I wish the story didnt end so, DARE I SAY, ABRUPTLY??

Regardless, I love all the inclusivity and diverse characters, especially Cassandra's pov was refreshing-- being the grump, she wasnt "perfect" but held her own and it felt very girlboss (respectfully).

While Apollo sounds hot and def goes to therapy, I'm gonna say what no one else will (brave)! He was very dumb for a "secret keeper" and not good at his job. I think he should let Cassandra be Apollo and be a stay at home husband bc he'd be much better than whatever he's trying to do currently.

Overall, really enjoyed this next addition to Dark Olympus and wish we got a few more chapters but I know they cant all be Wicked Beauty (humbly).

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again - the Dark Olympus series is my favorite Katee Robert series ever. And OH BOY did this book deliver and ensure that would always be the case. This installment has everything I was missing in Wicked Beauty: more interactions between the Thirteen, more insight into Olympus itself and some of its mysteries, and best of all, more Hermes. I would say this book has the most focus on world-building and creating a setup for what’s to come, and it really felt like the start of a greater overarching plot. The romance between Apollo and Cassandra was also amazing, and has some of my favorite tropes - grumpy/sunshine (he’s sunshine), fake dating, only one bed… All those things add up to this possibly being my favorite in the series. And that ENDING?! I am incredibly nervous for what’s to come in Olympus, but am so excited for the series to continue! Bring on six more!
4.5 Stars!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review! Radiant Sin will be published on February 7, 2023.

I have come to really enjoy Katee Roberts books. This book had me from the very page and did not let me go. I cannot wait to see what she will put out next.

I actually enjoyed this one more because there was a plot! Now...I'm not entirely certain what the plot is or how it all fits together, but also, I'm not certain I need to know? I will FOR SURE keep reading these.

My favorite from the Dark Olympus series so far. Apollo is the absolute BEST. He's pure cinnamon-roll delight. I'm so thrilled that Katee is now writing ten books in this series!!

The Dark Olympus series continues with a story about Apollo. This book is a lot of
Mystery and brings more questions to the dynamics in Olympus. I enjoyed Cassandra and Apollo’s working relationship, but the other fringe characters were not as exciting. This was probably my least favourite in the series, so far, but I do like that it set up the story to continue.

I'm really loving these Neon Gods books, and our patrons are, too. Keep them coming, Katee! We will absolutely be purchasing multiple copies to keep the waitlist flowing. Robert's books are spicy, fun, and well-written, all adding up to a highly-readable series that keeps patrons engaged and asking for more.

Thank you so much Sourcebooks for sending me this ARC!

Radiant Sin is the fourth book in the Dark Olympus series by Katee Robert. In case you don’t know this series, each book is a retelling about characters from Greek mythology and Radiant Sin is the story of Apollo and Cassandra. I loved the first book, Neon Gods, and enjoyed books 2 and 3 but Radiant Sin definitely became my new favorite in this series!

Cassandra has worked for Apollo for 5 years and while they are attracted to each, they kept things professional. When Cassandra is offered a deal to get everything she has wanted for the past few years in exchange for pretending to be Apollo’s fake girlfriend for a week-long party she reluctantly agrees, but it quickly becomes obvious they will not be able to ignore their attraction much longer. With the host of the party plotting against the Olympians and party guests disappearing, Apollo and Cassandra will have to figure out their feelings and solve this problem quickly before their world is changed forever.

I really like how Katee Roberts always manages to masterfully weave characters from Greek mythology into an interesting modern-like world and show us its politics and the dynamics between these fascinating characters. While this is mostly Apollo and Cassandra’s romance story, I really enjoyed the plot and the mysteries the characters had to solve, I think plot-wise it was the most compelling story in this series so far. Of course, I really liked the romance, Apollo and Cassandra are really amazing together, Apollo quickly became my favorite MMC in the Dark Olympus world (sorry, Hades!) and I admired how strong Cassandra was and the lengths she was willing to go to protect her sister. And like always with Katee’s books, the spicy scenes were perfectly written and I enjoyed every moment with our main characters.

Radiant Sin is a really great fantasy romance with amazing characters and if you liked the first three books in this series you’re definitely going to love this one! And if you’re new to the Dark Olympus world you should definitely give this series a try, these books are really incredible. Can’t wait for the next one!

This might be my favourite Dark Olympus book to date. It focuses on Apollo and Cassandra and I think it's more of a soft book than the others in the series have been thus far. I mean, Apollo is a fucking marshmallow and I love that. Also, one of KR's tags for this one is 'fake dating for spy reasons' and yes, yes it is. Fake dating is one of my favourite tropes and the fact that they are fake dating because they are spying on someone, is just perfect.

I also really like that Cassandra is bigger and Apollo loves that. And it didn't feel like fetishization or anything, he just really liked her body and her curves, but also her mind and he obviously really respects her. Their relationship is just so good. I love it.

Also, ALSO, this book introduces all of the remaining characters for the rest of the series. Well, except that we don't know who else is in Hermes's book, but otherwise everyone is in this book. And I have SO MANY QUESTIONS!!! Just based on what happened in this book and who everyone is (and who they are related to), I cannot wait for the rest of the series.

This novel is the 4th in the Dark Olympus series, however unlike the other books this one really does not work without having read the previous entries. This book is VERY plot heavy, with lots of exposition and scenes of politics. This is to the detriment of the romance, as Apollo and Cassandra (the leads) seem to have very little chemistry together (despite the book trying to convince us they're both pining for each other) and don't get very much development to their relationship throughout the book. Their HEA at the end felt very rushed, and their relationship as a whole felt very sidelined in favor of worldbuilding and plot.

The increase in worldbuilding would be better if it wasn't so confusing- four books in and I still don't quite understand how this universe works. Is there magic? Is Olympus some kind of city-state? Cassandra describes Apollo at one point as being half Swedish and half Korean- does this mean that the real-world nations also exist in this world? Is the city of Olympus supposed to be Greece? It feels like the author can't decide whether she wants this series to be a modern day twist on mythology or a fantasy based on mythology and is just stringing the reader along until she decides. I really enjoyed the previous entry in the series (Wicked Beauty) and am sad that this entry was so disappointing in comparison.

Hat's off to Katee for consistently widening the scope of ethnicity, sexuality, and body type through her books. This might be the one I respect her for most since she manages to push the political intrigue ahead a league as well as keep everything spicy AF.

Katee Robert has taken over my heart with this series. I remembered nothing about mythology from high school, but got a whole category right in Jeopardy a few weeks ago thanks to the books.

Book 4 is no different. Apollo and Cassandra. All my favorite tropes.
secret love-check
one bed-check
fake dating-check
grumpy/sunshine (reverse)-check
I love a scorned woman who gets all her walls knocked down by the unexpected love interest. Apollo is her boss, and would never blur the power structure. Cassandra is a sexy af. fierce, bad ass woman trying to get her and her sister out of Olympus after her parents were murdered after a power struggle of an unknown clause.
Zeus makes her a deal she can not refuse and her and Apollo are sent as a loving couple to spy as partygoers for a week long outing. Kind of Clue like and I FRIGGIN LOVED IT.
Smoking hot sex, sarcastic/ witty banter between characters, murder mystery and intrigue got me panting, waiting for all the secrets of Olympus to reveal themselves .AND WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH HERMES?!?!
10/10 Katee Robert!! I LOVE you. I cant wait to buy a copy for my library and tell everyone else to read it!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC

Fake dating. One bed/forced proximity. APOLLO. Plus size/mid size rep. A sort of murder mystery with a week in the countryside Agatha Christie vibe. Plenty of political intrigue, as with the whole series. Sexy times, some light bondage and a HEA as per usual with Katee Roberts books. I liked it more that the last one (Ares) but I’ve liked the whole series in general.

Netgalley ARC Review

Book 4 of the Olympus series and the stakes are higher be darker than ever.

Cassandra hates the Thirteen except for her boss Apollo. Her parents tried to murder their way into the Thirteen years ago and were assassinated as a result and now Cassandra and her sister are alone surrounded by wolves and Cassandra wants out.

Apollo is a marshmallow who has loved Cassandra for 4 years. He offers her a deal. Pretend to be his girlfriend for a week while they attend Minos’ weeklong house party and he’ll give her the money to get her and her sister out of the city.

Cassandra agrees and they go to the party but to spy on Minos but things take a dark turn and someone at the party is going to die as a result of someone else’s betrayal.

Cassandra and Apollo have great chemistry and the slow burn is hot! There were a lot of twists and turns and set ups for future books. I continue to really enjoy this series.

I keep giving this series a chance because I so badly want to like it since Robert is the only romance author I know of that has gone beyond Hades and Persephone in their myth retelling romance, but I just can't get into this series, including this book. I was so intrigued by an Apollo and Casandra retelling since this is a story that doesn't get a lot of attention and is pretty dark in the original version as most myths are. But this fell short for me.

Pros:
I really liked Apollo's character. I've read a lot of myth retellings and Apollo is always portrayed as a spoiled brat who can't take no for an answer. Apollo was shown as such a gentle and kind-hearted individual and I really adored him as a hero in this book.
Robert always makes sure to include a diverse array of individuals to represent people from all walks of life and diverse sexual orientations and preferences. She didn't disappoint in this book, and it's still really refreshing to see different tastes and orientations shown with a much-needed air of normalcy.
It was interesting that there were more details on Olympus and the idea of outsiders coming into Olympus.

Cons:
Cassandra was a supremely unlikeable character. I really don't like when characters are bitter and angry for no reason. Cassandra lost her parents because their chose to be power-hungry. She is rude to Apollo, her boss, and everyone else and is a generally grumpy person for no reason. She just kept saying that Olympus was terrible for what they did to her parents, but her parents started it by making a power grab because they weren't happy with their current social standing.
While we got a bit more information about the border between Olympus and the outside world, we still didn't get a full explanation of how this universe works. While we did get the tidbit that information about the border seems to have been erased from Olympus' history books, it doesn't change the reality that this universe functions in a super weird way.

This book was meh. I tried to get into it and started skimming around 40% into the book. I found Cassandra to be so unlikeable and I felt bad for Apollo. He was her boss and she was really mean to him for no reason other than she seemed to lack professionalism and acted like a child with a crush who thinks an appropriate response is to be mean to the person you like. If you liked the other books in this series, you will likely enjoy this one, but it wasn't for me.

Another fun edition to the series. It is probably my least favorite so far but I loved the other books, so it is all relative. The pacing got a little slow about half way through. Is Apollo actually good at his job? I don't feel like we got to see that at all.

I swear every time I read the next book in this series I go 'well THIS one is definitely my favorite' but it's true! I love love loved Radiant Sin, it was so much fun. I loved the mystery and was genuinely worried they wouldn't get their HAE with the conflict over their lifestyle decisions. Cassandra and Apollo were such a great couple and the spicy scenes were impeccable. I can't wait to add this to my Katee Robert collection! Thank you for the early read!

This Dark Olympus series is so interesting to me. I was immediately hooked on book 1. I liked book 2. Same with book 3. But this 4th installment was just right for me. It was softer than previous books. It had a little more plot and a little less heat. But the tension and the pining and the "but we can't because I am leaving" is so good. This had feels that reminded me a little more of the O'Malley series and I am here for it. I liked the house party setting and the reference to historical romances in regards to that. I enjoyed the time we got with characters we know and the mentions of couples in previous books. I just liked Cassandra and Apollo.
