Katee Robert completely nails it yet again. This is the type of book where you should just call in sick to work, make some tea and read it cover to cover. Apollo is chefs kiss and Cassandra is a fire cracker that matches his energy. I finished the book and can’t wait for the next!

While Greek/Roman mythology is making major waves in romance publishing, Robert is riding the waves in the best possible way. As the fourth book in Katee Robert's "Dark Olympus" series, "Radiant Sin" mixes spice, humor, and mystery in the way her readers have come to love. The "star-crossed lovers" trope is a personal favorite and adding the storm cloud girl falling for the golden retriever boy angle made the story so much more fun. Some of Robert's other books feel safe as standalones, but the "Dark Olympus" series has given enough backstory that I will continue coming back for more. My only complaint is that I miss the Dimitriou girls and would love to see more of them in the next book.

Radiant Sin is another scorcher from Katee Robert. While not as strong as the first two books in the series, Robert excels at the spicy bits, and this book is no exception. Fans of the Dark Olympus series will enjoy this new installment.

OH MY GOODNESS. Y’all already know that I love these books… now I don’t know that anything can top Electric Idol for me… but this came REALLY close!

* Workplace romance vibes
* Forced Proximity
* Fake Dating

Oh my word. This was spicy yes, but dang I was so attached to the plot of this book.

Katee Robert you have done it again ❤️🔥

Thank you to Katee Robert and NetGalley for an e-arc of this book!

Radiant Sin, the fourth installment in Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series, follows Apollo and Cassandra. A disgraced member of a fallen house, Cassandra has seen firsthand what the infamous Thirteen are capable of. But when her sweet-as-sin boss Apollo asks her to go undercover as his plus-one at a week-long party hosted by a mysterious new power player, Cassandra reluctantly agrees – on one condition: when it’s all over and Apollo has gotten the intel he needs, she and her sister are free to leave Olympus. For good. Despite what the rest of Olympus says about Cassandra’s family, Apollo’s got a nose for who he can trust—and Cassandra is one of the people he trusts most. He doesn’t want to lose his most trusted advisor. But when their fake-dating scheme turns into something more real and a very real danger surfaces that none of them saw coming, they’ll have to decide whose fate to put first—that of Olympus, or their blossoming romance.

I know I say this with every Robert book but I adore her writing style—it’s so easily digestible without forfeiting intricacy. It can’t be easy to have so many characters and yet still make everyone have a distinctive personality— but somehow, Robert manages to do that without overwhelming descriptions or long paragraphs that run on. Instead, the writing is accessible to a point where the pages just fly by.

What I enjoyed most about Radiant Sin is that we get to see the world of Olympus from a slightly different viewpoint. In previous installments, we’ve usually followed characters who are very high up in the hierarchy of Olympus. With Cassandra’s POV, we now see a quasi-outsider and her perspective on the rulers of Olympus. Cassandra isn’t blinded by love or power and thus sees all the machinations and schemes that go on behind the scenes of every interaction between the famous Thirteen. To follow someone who wants nothing more than to escape from Olympus rather than become a power player herself and is so protective of her sister’s present and future made this book stand out on its own as well as a part of the overarching plot of this series.

With that in mind, this book felt a bit like a game changer in the series. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still an amazing romance but this very much felt like it was setting up for a future focus on the politics of Olympus. Some factors (and characters) were introduced that are sure to make for delicious chaos in the next installments.

As for the characters: while Cassandra is a very strong personality, it takes quite a while for Apollo to truly stand out as his own man. Cassandra’s protective instincts and her desire to keep her sister from harm paired really well with Apollo’s own protective and genuinely kind nature. Every interaction between Cassandra and Apollo will make romance lovers rejoice—as always, Robert delivers on the tropes and this time, fake dating with a deadline gets its time to shine. Stuck together in what can only be described as a mystery/party house with political allies, enemies and the in-between, both Cassandra and Apollo have to watch their every step and it’s so much fun following them as they try to keep up the fake dating ruse while also increasingly becoming more attracted by the other. Especially Cassandra struggles with her attraction since she’s supposed to hate Apollo and his connection to the Thirteen, yet his kindness and fervour continue to draw her in. Similarly, Apollo knows that all Cassandra wants is to leave this world and the people in it behind—but he can’t let her go without a fight. Chances are that you’ll swoon over both of these headstrong, loving and undeniably badass characters.

Simultaneously delivering a deep dive into the political machinations of Olympus, a house party mystery, and an Apollo/Cassandra romance that’s the perfect balance of fluffy and spicy, Radiant Sin is sure to keep you up all night!

Thank you so much for an advanced copy of Radiant Sin!

I really enjoy this series by Katie Robert, and Radiant Sin is a great addition! Cassandra and Apollo are perfection.

First off, I'm a sucker for a little unrequited love and a little pining, and this couple gives that in spades. Both have been secretly pining for the other for years, and it takes a series of unfortunate events to push them together. The longing, the feelings, all of it just combined into perfection for me. Sigh. Apollo is so dreamy, and I love Cassandra's take charge/take no crap attitude.

Second, the STEAM. There was a bit of delayed gratification (because, come on, we needed some good pining to set the stage), but once the explosion happened, if you will...the story took off. This book brought the spicy, the sweet, and the slightly kinky to the page at times...and I loved it.

Third, I thought the loose "locked room" plot was interesting. I didn't love the direction the story went outside of the romance, but I'm really looking forward to seeing where book five takes us afterwards. I'm intrigued by how all these characters will react to the fall out!

Overall, loved this one and will definitely re-read it!

Thank you to NetGalley for an eARC of Radiant Sin by Katee Robert!

I really like this entry in the Dark Olympus series. This is book 4 and I'm surprised that the so far plot isn't too similar to the other ones. I though Cassandra's and Apollo's relationship was interesting and I was loving the chemistry. I will say this is the most mellow of the Dark Olympus books. The only reason this doesn't get five stars is the fact that I thought it ended way too abruptly.

I can never wait for the next Katee Robert book. Even though her publishing schedule is very, very frequent, especially for traditionally published books, even a few months of waiting feel like too many. So I was completely thrilled to have been approved for an ARC for the next installment of her Dark Olympus series.

And this one has my favorite trope: fake dating!

Cassandra has been Apollo’s assistant for years. She’s also spent most of those years wildly attracted to her honorable boss. But she knows exactly what happens to people when they try to betray the Thirteen: they end up dead just like her and her sister’s parents. So she’s not interested in getting involved with one of the city’s leaders, because it only means danger. She’s only focused on earning enough money to get her and her sister a ticket out of Olympus.

Apollo for his part has swallowed his attraction for the plus-sized Cassandra because he knows about her family’s history. He knows she’s not interested in a relationship with someone who represents everything she hates about the city they live in.

But the group of outsiders that appeared on the scene in the previous books want something, and it’s Apollo’s job to figure out their angle. Zeus has tasked Apollo with figuring out Minos’ plans and the only way to do that is to go to the house party the mysterious man is hosting at his estate.

Apollo asks Cassandra to pose as his girlfriend so they can both attend. Cassandra agrees, if Zeus pays her an astronomical sum; enough to leave Olympus and never have to come back. When Zeus agrees, Cassandra finds herself fighting against her want for Apollo as they both try their best to figure out what Minos’ plan with.

Katee Robert does an amazing job with this — it really is a retelling of the Cassandra myth. Cassandra was cursed to never have anyone believe her prophecies until it was too late. Here, too, Cassandra sees the real-life, physical danger Minos and his people pose to the other members of the Thirteen gathered at his house. But because of her parents’ betrayal, none of them believe her, except Apollo.

Cassandra and Apollo slowly cave to their mutual attraction, even though they both know it won’t last beyond the house party, because Cassandra is leaving at the earliest possible moment. Still, Apollo’s gentle dom really does it for Cassandra and the sex scenes are amazing, as is to be expected from Katee.

This book does have the most compelling throughline plot, I think. It’s the best balanced with the romance plot so far, for sure. While I figured out Minos’ ultimate plan, the stuff with Hermes was a great puzzle and even knowing what things were heading toward, it was exciting to read how it was all going to go down exactly.

Not only that, but this book also truly set up a delicious poly knot for the next book. I am once again left panting for what comes next.

Apollo and Cassandra’s story was awesome! They ‘fake” a relationship to attend a party that Minos is throwing to try and discover his ulterior motives for Olympus. Apollo is the best man Cassandra knows, but she has both feet pointing out of Olympus along with her baby sister. This book brings back memories of Clue as you watch all the pieces move in place for the final shocking turn, murder. Will Cassandra and Apollo make it out alive, much less together? This book was a masterpiece! I need answers! Always leave your audience wanting more, and that is what Katee has done! 5 amazing stars

Apollo and Cassandra are so precious 🥰 I loved how their relationship evolved and turned out.
The Olympus politics are getting seriously intriguing and I’m looking forward to seeing how things are going to go. Hermes might be my favourite character!

Fav quote: “You shoulder too much. You never ask for help. I want to help you carry your burdens, Cassandra. Not because I feel an obligation, but because it means I’m standing at your side and there’s nowhere else in this world I’d rather be.”
I felt this ❤️

Another great read by Katee Robert. I love how she intertwines these mythological characters into modern retellings with LGBTQ+ characters and normalizes the spectrum of love. It may not be my favorite of the series but still really enjoyable and worth reading.

WOW! Another great book in this series. The love sorry between Cassandra and Apollo was wonderful. It was a loved-you-for-years didn’t-tell-you romance on both sides. I loved Cassandra’s body acceptance and the way she didn’t worry about societal norms; she was confident in herself. The underlying mystery about the reason for the house party kept me reading this book very quickly. The ending was a surprise, but there will be more shake-ups and surprises in future books I’m sure.

This book was amazing. I went into this thinking that I would not like Cassandra and Apollo as much as I had liked the previous couples in the series. But I really fell in love with this couple. They were so different from the first three books and those couples. I loved the forced proximity/fake dating that the couple faces in this book. In true Katee Robert fashion, they dealt with it in sex. And it was Hot! This was amazing and I can't wait for the next books.

In this most recent book in her Dark Olympus series Katee Robert looks into the relationship of Apollo and Cassandra. The story builds on events of the previous book and the world is so well thought out and built up. With so many previous books in the series there is less world building but the character development is still top notch. The smut is this one is light dom /sub with some bondage scenes. I picked this up and read the entire book within two days, and cannot wait for the next one to come out.

I was given an advanced readers copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This felt like an old-timey murder mystery dinner party...and it was fabulous.

Katee Robert's "Dark Olympus" series continues to be so hot and sweet. Still not quite getting the world building part, but I'm not sure I care! These books are so much fun.

Favorite note: sexy plus size character is described as having a thick waist. Love it!!

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher of providing an eARC for review.

How do these stories keep getting better!?
Neon gods was my first introduction to the modern retellings and I absolutely fell in love. Since then I’ve read all of Robert’s books and I can safely say this one is one of my favorites.

Not only is there the romance and love shared between Apollo and Cassandra, we have an actual MURDER MYSTERY!!!!!
I absolutely loved the mystery/thriller aspect of this book. I also really loved that we got to see some secondary characters come into view.

All in all, this was Ana AMAZING way to continue the series!

I already rated the first two books in the series pretty low and I gave up on the third book. But I keep coming back to this series because Greek retellings really intrigue me and i like the pairings for each book. The problem is the execution is always really flat. The characters tend to be one note. In the second book we learn that Eros is a hired assassin but he didn’t kill that many people in the book. Anyway in this book I did enjoy the chemistry between the two characters. This book was very plot heavy but by the time the plot started getting very interesting the book was done. Also I was hoping for Apollo to kind of be the drama king he is in Greek myth but instead he was just the nice guy of the Thirteen which just seems like a missed opportunity.

A huge thank you to Katee Robert and Sourcebooks for this ARC!

I love seeing where Katee Robert takes these books and I can't wait for the next one! This book focuses on Apollo and Cassandra and a deeper plot to destabilize the Thirteen. I'm really looking forward to seeing where it leads...I believe someone mentioned a wedding at the end?

These books are just sexy and fun and I can't get enough of them.

A strong follow up to the series, this book has lots of romance and tension for the audience. This time around, the audience is solving a mystery with Apollo and Cassandra and introduces new characters for future books. This book is recommended for libraries with patrons that enjoy mythology retellings, romance, and erotic themes. For the spice scale, this one is teetering between 3 and 4 peppers.
