A delightful sorry about what it is like going to school for the first time, or the first time that year. Emma comes to school but feels more comfortable dressing like a flamingo . The other children welcome her and join her in dressing like animals. An adorable story about putting yourself out there, being yourself, and making friends.

Kids love playing at dressing-up and costume parties, and my daughter is no exception. She enjoyed the story of Emma, and we had fun reading the English version of this children's book together. I liked the illustrations more than the story itself - the drawings are stunning!

I truly loved the colors in this book. And the message was very nice. I think it would be helpful for kids who are nervous about their first day in school.

It's Emma's first day of school and she is nervous. She decides to wear her favorite costume, which gives her the courage to go school. How will the other kids react?

This is a cute, fun story to read to your child if they are nervous for their first day of school. Help them find a way to ease the transition and maybe it will help them make friends like Emma.

This is a sweet and simple story about a little girl’s first day of school. She has some jitters but follows her mom’s advice to be herself. That turns out to be the perfect recipe for making new friends.

This sweet book would be great for toddlers and preschoolers with uncertainties about starting school.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy!

It is Emma’s first day of school. She had been excited but now is feeling a bit anxious. Luckily she has a mom who gives her a say in what she wears. Emma feels better going to school dressed as a bird and this is what she does. This leads Emma to engage in make believe with the other students and…she is off to a good start.

This is a nice book about being yourself when going off to a new experience. Parents who may not want their child to go to school in a costume may be uncomfortable with this title unless they can reconsider. For the child in this story, the choice was the perfect one as was her knowing that she had her parent’s support.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Clavis for this title. All opinions are my own.

A very cute, charming book about being yourself on the first day of school. The artwork was fun, the writing was solid, and overall I loved this book. My one complaint was the format of the e-book on my kindle. Some paragraphs were broken by other paragraphs, the artwork wasn't on the same page as its corresponding paragraph, etc. I think the publisher should review the e-book they are giving out and change any formatting issues so we are able to give proper reviews.

Thank you Netgalley and Federico Van Lunter for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
