This had me laughing at loud with an occasional "awww" thrown in. I didn't love it as much as I loved Fangs (the author's previous work I read) but it still had a lot of humor and heart. I, also, continue to be impressed by how the author can take mundane feelings and translate them so well into the speculative in order to give the reader a feeling of relatability but also... obsurdity. I truly enjoyed this. My favorite of the cryptids is definitely Mothman, but I fell in love with all of them!

I don’t usually read graphics but I couldn’t resist this one! I think the authors sense of humour is hilarious, it’s right up my alley. Her jokes hit on every page. This would make a great coffee table book!

A comical short book of all the different species e.g big foot, slenderman, nessie and mothman on some of their adventures.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for this ARC! This was a really cute, really fun read. I liked that it was short comics and that there were a variety of characters. The jokes were funny and clever and while it felt similar to other books, this stands on its own as a fun read I would recommend.

I loved it! Sarah Andersen never disappoints. I’m not really drawn into horror stuff, but I do enjoy reading about cryptids once in a while, so this was perfect! I loved the colors, the story, and the characters.
Definitely, a Halloween read that I’m going to enjoy in my book club and with my students.

Special thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this ARC.

All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m a longtime fan of Sarah Anderson, and I also love all things horror, myth, and monsters. If you have seen any of Sarah’s other work, Sarah’s Scribbles, you will see some of the similar themes in Cryptid Club, such as social anxiety and shyness. If you need a dose of spooky cuteness then you need to read this. I love all of the ghosts, Mothman, the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and all of the other well-known mysterious creatures.

This was so fun! I loved all the different cryptids and them just trying to live there lives. I found myself smiling and chuckling all the way through. definitely what I needed at the time.

This is a very cute book made up of many related, but not story driven, comics. I enjoyed reading them and had quite a few laughs, but I would have preferred a more story driven collection like "Fangs" versus a bunch of one shot comics. The art is cute (though quite samey after so many pages) and quite vibrant, making this a joy to flip through even with the "darker" ideas of cryptids.

This feels much like Nathan Pyle's "Stranger Planet" where it is just a compilation of comics that were posted on Instagram first. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that, but this makes it seem more like a coffee table book or a "gifting" book that you would give someone who enjoys Andersen's work or cryptids in general.

Overall, this is a light, humorous read that will make you chuckle. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys quick comics, "punny" Instagram humor, or Andersen's other works.

Though I personally felt like this is not as awesome as Fangs, and maybe too short, it was still a lot of fun.

Sarah Andersen's specialty is creating characters (or her own versions of existing characters) who are misfits. Who are weird and anxious. It is both funny and comforting, making you feel like you are not alone in your weirdness.

Can´t go wrong with Sarah Andersen.

Once again, Sarah Andersen brings her trademark humor to these fun comic strips, this time focusing on mythical creatures. This is sure to appeal to fans of Andersen's Sarah Scribbles comics and those who like the four panel format.

An extremely adorable set of illustrations about supernatural-ish things that we worry about - but those things are freaking cute and having a ton of fun by the looks of it. So glad I got my hands on this advance reader copy. Thank you, Sarah, for this amazing and cute piece of art.

This was a really sweet, fun read! I've seen this author's webcomics before and in this collection she imagines cryptids as her main characters. I love me some cryptids and this collection was a really good pick-me-up while I am stuck at home with COVID. I read it in one sitting but honestly if I had a tangible copy it would be a great bathroom book.

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Cryptids are always something I have a fondness for, but to apply real life functions to these creepy and aloof critters is something I have not thought about. A delightful format of quick comics you catch a quirky glimpse into the lives of these creatures. From my favorite of the Mothman, to the fearsome Slender Man, and even the regular crowd favorites of Bigfoot and Nessie. You will not be disappointed by your investment in digesting this cute and quirky comic.

I never thought I'd want to hug a cryptid--but I do now! The art and the characters are amazing, and I laughed out loud several times. I can't wait to display this book for Halloween (and literally every other day of the year.)

Cryptid Club is a cute little graphic novel that made me laugh.

I haven't read Sarah Andersen's books before, but I've seen some of her work in passing. Her art style lends itself well to this type of humorous, fun book. I love all the cryptid inside jokes and the different situations she places the cryptids in. Who knew I could relate so much to a creature that may or may not exist!

Definitely worth picking up and flipping through for a good laugh or to gift to your favorite cryptid believer.

This was such a fun, quick and quirky read. I love the fun and colourful art style, and enjoyed seeing a humorous take on many mythical creatures/ghosts/ufos. This little book is very funny as well and had me laughing out loud at certain points. This is such a cute and adorable read, especially around Fall time. I also enjoyed the end of the book where the history or origins of each creature were given in a short description. I would definitely recommend this book.
