Fans of Sarah Andersen will be delighted by this collection of comics inspired by the frightening cryptid’s we all know and love (or fear). A quick, lighthearted read that brings A great balance between learning about these creatures, but not being scared of them in their silliness. Andersen also nicely mixes in the classics, like Bigfoot and vampires, with more modern creatures, such as Slenderman and the Fresno nightcrawlers, to give a wider variety of information to her readers.

The illustrations, while simple, elevate her descriptions and make the creatures pop off the page. It’s a fun and adorable collection that will be a staple around Halloween.

Admittedly, there isn't a lot of depth to this collection of comics, nor does there need to be. This is adorable silly fun with adorable silly cryptids and adorable silly jokes, and it made my day better. A perfect book to keep around for when you need a laugh!

It's the mothman!
Thank you for the opportunity of reading this book, I didn't know the author before but now I can't wait for her next book, really enjoyed the comics, specially around Halloween time. They're so adorable.

This was one of the most enjoyable comics I read during the halloween season. The cutest artwork and some really hilarious scenes and puns. It’s quite a creative idea to explore the internal lives of so called monsters. The Flatwoods Monster and the Aliens were some of my favourite characters, but all of them entertained me to no end. Their individual insecurities, personal histories and motivations were familiar yet fascinating!

This was a very quirky read mixed with all of the well-known and unknown cryptids. I learned about new cryptids and had a few laughs along the way!

I follow the author on Instagram and have adored her Sarah's scribbles series. The other offshoots that she has been making have not been completely my thing, but when I saw a copy of the Cryptid club, I definitely wanted to give it a try.
There are a few repeats from the ones already on her page that I have previously encountered. It will be a lot funnier for someone experiencing the author's work purely through this medium without too many prior expectations.
There is a very handy list of the creatures/cryptids the author has used in the book and their known history. A couple of panels make more sense with that information!
This is a short book, with each page mostly consisting of four panels. The entire plot of the joke is within that. Some I found hilarious, and others quite decent. Some of the ones I found funny were ones I had already seen before, but I still enjoyed them!
I would recommend this book for people who like to have a collection of fun panels with cute art nearby to go through once in a while.
I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers. My review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

This was so cute and I couldn't put it down. I think read it three times in a row and I really want to read it again. It is something that I could see myself re-reading when I am sad or a little upset. I really can't wait to see more from Sarah Andersen.

Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for gifting me in exchange for an honest review

The cutest as one can always expect from Sarah's comics. It made me want to reread Fangs from a couple years back.

I love everything about Sarah Andersen and her works. I make it a habit to buy all of her graphic novel works for the library. They are short and fun to read and every time a new book comes in it flies off the shelves. I know this one won't be any different.

Cryptids are cool and interesting and definitely popular with adults and younger readers a like. Anderson's righting keeps you entertained until the last page and leaves you wanting more. As always its a super quick read so once you reach the end, you can always read it again!

Highly recommend.

This was so fun!! I have previously read Sarah Andersen's work and really enjoyed reading Fangs last year. I am glad that she is continuing with writing about spooky things. This was so cute and I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy for my personal library (apparently the cover glows in the dark!!).

Another fantastic comic compilation from the one and only Sarah Andersen! I have read and loved all of Andersen's previous books and this one is no exception. A fantastically adorable look at some of our fan favorite cryptids. So many of the characters I had never thought of in the way Andersen describes before. Even people who haven't heard of all the cryptids before would still find this book enjoyable. Overall, I adored the book and found it humorous and super cute! I look forward to the author's next printed compilation.

Love cryptids and love Sarah Anderson. I was thrilled when this one popped up in my review options and was not disappointed. Andersen's ability to take the fantastical and make it so completely relatable is unmatched. And the artwork is adorable.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me a chance to review the Digital ARC of Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen for an honest review!

Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen was a unique, short read for SpOoKy Season! I loved the creepy- cute (Kawaii) Mothman and friends throughout this comically and carefully crafted graphic novel. Each segment gives these "cryptids" a chance to come out of the shadows or stay in (INTROVERT MONSTERS UNITE!)

RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Cute drawings and comics with sweet messages that will bring a smile to your face. Some of them were a bit repetitive, but overall, it was great, and it would make a great stocking stuffer or gift idea.

I received a complementary copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

I have always enjoyed Sarah Andersen's work, and had seen a couple of comics that were included in this collection in the past, but I cannot stress enough how much I adored this book. I laughed out loud at my desk so many times I got a bit self conscious, and am now fully intending to purchase a copy for my personal bookshelf, as well as recommending it for purchase at my library. Charming, sweet, and hilarious. I adored it!

This was funny!!
I'm gonna be honest here, I stop following Sarah Andersen 'cause I stops feeling like I connect with her jobs as much as I did in the ást, however, everytime I saw she has a new book I can't stop me of reading it. An this was partiulary funny. we had the Chupacabra and Cthulhu in the same book, How can you do better than that?

Any way, a funny compilation, perfect for Halloween

Cryptid Club by Sarah Anderson is a graphic novel that is short but sweet. There were multiple loveable mythical creatures featured in these wholesome comics such as a sleep paralysis demon who suffers from social anxiety, a nightcrawler who loves heels, and aliens who adore cows. Cryptid Club can be enjoyed in short intervals or all at once with the panel structure. I absolutely loved reading this! This will be an enjoyable read for anyone who is a fan of Sarah Andersen, or of cute illustrations.
