This was oh so adorable. I'm a fan of Sarah's other works, and a fan of cryptids. So how could I not enjoy this one? While I didn't love it as much as Sarah's Scribbles, I did have a really fun time. Bright, colorful illustrations and Sarah's signature humor. Fans of the author as well as cryptid lovers will likely enjoy this fun little book.

Cryptid Club by @sarahandersencomics

October is perfect for this read... cause this is the Halloween month... Hooray!
So Cryptid Club is a graphical comic. Such a delightful and homey art by the artist cum author, the storylines are hilarious and relatable.

The book features eternally popular cryptids like Bigfoot, Nessie the Loch Ness Monster, and Mothman as well as newer additions to the lore like The Fresno Nightcrawlers and Slenderman. There are also supernatural staples like ghosts and aliens and even Chupacabra and Cthulhu!
This series celebrates the unique qualities that make cryptids so desperately sought after by mankind. After all, it's what makes us different that also makes us beautiful.

I really like her cute and unique depictions of the cryptids. This is the perfect read definitely for her longtime fans as well as those who love anything spooky.

I love Sarah Andersen's work and Cryptid Club does not disappoint! Using a variety of well- and lesser-known cryptids, Andersen shares wry observations about life and love. It's both hilarious and heartfelt and left me with a smile on my face. I plan on gifting this book to friends in the future!

A short, humorous book filled with funny takes on the problems of creatures that go bump in the night (some new and some old). Perfect for a light read on your coffee table or as a gift for a friend or family member interested in lore. Most comics are 2-6 panels and on one page, so it is easy to pick up and put down quickly.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced review copy.

If you enjoyed Andersen’s other comics, you will enjoy this one. Cryptid Club consists of small comics following famous cryptic sand the various situations they might find themselves in. These comics are not just funny, but the art is also adorable. I love all the different cryptids and how they interact with one another. This is a cute and fun quick read. Cryptid enthusiasts will want to check this one out.

Sarah Andersen’s Cryptid Club is a fun, lighthearted, and humourous collection of comics depicting the adventures of our favorite mysterious supernatural creatures. I love Andersen’s delightful and homey art and the storylines are hilarious and relatable.

I really like that we get to see a range of cryptids and not just the usual suspects.

This book consists of mostly one-page panels which depict the cryptids’ daily lives as they try to make friends, enjoy celebrations, go on dates, and interact with the human world. I love the bright and eye-catchingly colourful panels filled with Andersen’s cute and friendly drawings. I really like her cute and unique depictions of the cryptids.

I love Andersen’s lighthearted, silly, and apt humour! She wonderfully manages to make these mysterious and terrifying creatures of lore into accessible creatures who, although they are still spooky and retain many of their popular characteristics, are surprisingly a lot like us! It is quite sweet and endearing to see the cryptids enjoying a Christmas tree, learning each other’s languages, and hiding from us humans! The siren’s disastrous dating attempts, girls’ night with the cryptids, and Mothman’s obsession with light to the point that Bigfoot has to carry him off are just some of the absolutely hilarious moments in this book.

I’ve always been a fan of Andersen’s work and Cryptid Club is another wonderful addition to her collection! It is a quick and funny little treat filled with great and endearing artwork. This is a perfect read for her longtime fans as well as those who love anything spooky.

This just may end up being one of my favorite Sarah Andersen collections. I have been a big fan of hers for awhile now but this collection really solidified it. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I found myself literally laughing out loud at this collection. If I had to pick a favorite I would probably pick the strip that had to do with the Kraken (named Benjamin) stuck in his play-pen asking to be let out ("Release the Kraken"). It makes me chuckle every time I think about it.

I won't lie I wasn't completely familiar with some of the cryptids that were mentioned in this collection but that didn't stop me from enjoying every minute. It just meant that I had to further educate myself on the creatures that were being discussed which I was completely ok with. This is the perfect book for the spooky season. It is full of cryptids and humor....what more can one ask for.

I look forward to whatever Sarah Andersen decides to put out next

A big thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for allowing me access to the digital copy.

This is yet another adorable and clever book from Sarah Andersen. The comics include a collection of cryptid characters, each with their own personality. It's easy to page through and pick out a comic to make you smile that day or just read the entire book from start to finish. Sarah Andersen will continue to be an automatic read/buy for me.

I love Sarah Andersen and the illustrations they create. The world of adorable cryptids just makes my heart happy . I read each comic and then would run to my partner to show him how cute it was. After about 20 trips, he decided it would be easier just to sit next me to join in on the cuteness. This is absolutely heart warming and just silly. I cannot wait until we receive our copy for the library.

A cute, quick read for anyone who is a fan of Sarah Andersen, adorable illustrations, cryptids, or all of the above! This book is more approachable for folks who follow Andersen on social media than FANGS may have been, but is equally as enjoyable. This would be a great gift for anyone who loves spooky season!

This book was funny. I enjoyed reading all the different ways creatures live their lives. Sarah Anderson really thought outside the box with how these different creatures both enjoy being alive and living life.

Cryptid Club by Sarah Andersen is currently scheduled for release on September 20 2022. Do you hate social gatherings? Dodge cameras? Enjoy staying up just a little too late at night? You might have more in common with your local cryptid than you think! Enter the world of Cryptid Club, a look inside the adventures of elusive creatures ranging from Mothman to the Loch Ness Monster. This humorous new series celebrates the unique qualities that make cryptids so desperately sought after by mankind (to no avail). After all, it's what makes us different that also makes us beautiful.

Cryptid Club is a fun and entertaining read. I have enjoyed collections from Andersen before, and I thought the art style and sense of humor held true to what I have seen in the past, and always connected with. I thought the cartoons touched on a full gambit of emotions. Some were cute, others funny, and some were a little sad. However, they all entertained and had a bit of truth or understanding in them. I was entertained and felt like Andersen shared more than a few thoughts and experiences with me, making me feel a little bit more seen and less alone. I think that is a huge achievement for something so fun and enjoyable to read.

Sarah Anderson is, as always, a great storyteller when it comes to getting something across in four panels or less. This delightful comic collection of cryptids shows her abilities through the lens of the supernatural and spectacular, and by making creatures like Bigfoot ("Sam") and Nessie just like us. Packed with humor and relatability, Cryptid Club is a fast read with a great color scheme, hilariously commonplace situations with very out of this world characters, and has several through-lines that give the cast of characters a place among the woods. Monsters really are just like us. :)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read an ARC of this book! I followed along as Sarah Anderson originally began posting this series online and was so excited to find out she was publishing a collection! The book contains the previously published comics as well as some brand new ones! This one is perfect for fans of cryptid humor!

I’ve been following Sarah’s Scribbles for ages, so I was intrigued by this other creation by the same comic artist.

As expected, this was quite bizarre. The world of Cryptid Club was a look into the adventures of elusive creatures such as Big Foot and Loch Ness Monster (and their puzzlement over human beings).

Did I enjoy it? Yes I did. It wasn’t as amazing as Sarah’s Scribble IMHO, but it was still noteworthy. It showcased Sarah’s jokes really well (my kind of humour!), and I found myself chuckling in some places.
