I've been following Sarah Andersen's work online for a long time and discovered this side project randomly on Instagram, and as always with her work, it's delightful.
I love the humour there is in those pages and how relatable it is even though it is about cryptids. Also, the drawings are adorable?? and the use of colour is beautiful as well.
There really isn't a story to this, it's just some short 2-4 panels comics, but if you need a bit of fun and something to relax, I definitely recommend you read this collection.

Very cute comic book. Was very clever and funny at times, my only complaint was that it was not longer, I'm not sure if I would buy in this book, but I would definitely go out of my way to work for the comics online or in newspaper. Cryptid club was a cute fun read but just ok. The comics were all short 1 page scripts consisting of about 4 panels. If I saw this on twitter or tumblr I'd probably follow, like, and retweet it but I don't know if I'd ever really buy the book for myself- I might buy it for someone else if they were really into cryptids. The interpretation of the cryptids were really cute and sweet but I wish there was more development or substance. The jokes never went past a page and the jokes were pretty surface level. It's not bad, but it feels like it was meant to be consumed as something that you scroll past on your dash- maybe you pause to like it or chuckle but nothing really impactful or meaningful.

It's not bad, just ok. It's fun to read but I don't think you'll ever want to read it twice.

A cute bunch of comics you will enjoy. Some I didn't get (maybe it's my age)., but most are funny. Clean and clever, and funnies that kids will enjoy too.

This set of comics is very cute. The illustrations are amazing and the little stories leave you with a warm feeling. Very adorable.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC copy of this graphic novel. This was the first graphic novel that I have ever read on my phone, and it was an enjoyable experience. It showed up really nice on the phone. And I could zoom in which is an advantage over a physical book. This was a book where each page was a short comic with a joke about a particular cryptid (the loch ness monster, bigfoot, etc.) The whole book is not telling one story. It is just a series of jokes, and a few of them were cute, or funny. This can be read in 10-15 minutes, at least in my experience.

These illustrations were so cute and really made light of the usually very scary cryptids we hear about. It is a very unique approach to cryptids that I haven't seen before and I appreciated the originality. Some of the jokes made I did not understand and some of the cryptids I did not recognize until I got to the glossary at the end. I think there were some missed opportunities for some more funny jokes to be made to play on the reader's knowledge of cryptids.

Compared to the other Sarah Andersen book I've read, Fangs, this is much closer to the Sarah's Scribbles stuff you'll have seen online (and seriously, you have – unless you only take your Internet bound in leather, you'd know those wild-haired, large-eyed representatives of relatable problems if you saw them, or the entirely correct one about how heaven created dogs while cats were from the imps of the Pit). The downside of which is that the comedy is mostly in the lines and look of it, the perfect minimalism of the Loch Ness Monster's awkward expression, or the way that the Mothman peering into the panel is always, instantly, hilarious. This is, in short, the sort of comic which is vastly easier to sell if you're not weird and old-fashioned like me and you're willing to use images in reviews. So I can tell you about how I felt for poor Bigfoot desperately trying to get a decent photo for once, but it will never convey the charm like seeing it would. Equally, while this is to a large extent always true of comedy, either it tickles you or it doesn't, and even for me not all of it did; I didn't at all get the Fresno nightcrawler stuff, though to be honest that was partly because I had never been aware of the original photo of the purported creature in question, and now I've seen it, yeah, fair enough.

There will never be something Sarah Andersen writes that I don’t love.

Her humour and art style are impeccable, I just found myself in a heap of laughs after some of the jokes in this one.

Cryptid Club was the first one outside of her Sarah Scribbles books I had read, and I wondered if I would enjoy it as much as that hilarious and relatable collection of slice of life comics. I loved it!

The characters were so great, and the jokes were hilarious. Highly recommend, I now want a tattoo of ghosts wearing high waisted jeans. Hilarious.

Adorable and wholesome fun with the Cyrptid Club - perfect to pick up if you're having a bad day and need to smile.

I continue to love everything Sarah Andersen does, but I think this might be my favorite of her works. It's cute and funny and features cryptids! What more could you want?

Cryptid Club is another adorable and hilarious book by Sarah Andersen. I’m definitely a fan of Andersen’s books. I love her artwork and her stories are always amusing. Cryptid Club features a variety of creatures just going about their lives, trying to get by while being misunderstood by humans.

This book explores some of the same themes as Andersen’s previous books- social anxiety, feeling like an outcast, and navigating relationships- except the main characters are night creatures. This was a fast and enjoyable read. Definitely the perfect book to read during the fall season! I always look forward to reading another book by Sarah Andersen.

Cryptid Club is a great example of Sarah Anderson's style of comic writing, so if you like any of their other books, you'll probably enjoy this one. Cryptid Club explores awkward relationships and social anxiety through the lens of different famous cryptid (for which Sarah provides a helpful glossary for anyone unfamiliar with the stories behind them). The art is lovely, with dark and standout full colors.

Another fun collection from Sarah. Can't wait to get this in the hands of everyone who enjoys funny and spooky art. The cryptid representation is hilarious.

I’ve already been a fan of the Cryptid Club comics ever since Sarah Anderson first started creating them and sharing them on the web, so it was a real joy to be able to binge familiar gags and a few comics that I’d missed all at once. I’m pretty positive other fans who have been keeping up will enjoy this cute collection as well. Likewise, I’m also very, very positive that those who have been fans of “Sarah’s Scribbles” but have somehow managed to miss out completely on her newer comic series will discover a whole lot to love.

Cartoonist and illustrator Sarah Anderson branches out from the semi-biographical Sarah's Scribbles to explore the mystery and lore of cryptids (animals that cryptozoologists believe may exist somewhere in the wild, but are not believed to exist by mainstream science). At slightly more than 100 pages, as in her other work, Sarah offers humorous comic strips about the challenges of daily life.... for cryptids.

Do you want to see Big Foot desperate to be in a good photo? Learn about Fresno Nightcrawler's love of pants? Why Extra Terrestrials love cows? All these and more are detailed. In total 15 creatures appear, sometimes together or on their own. The strips are all colored, and build on one another with callbacks to earlier strips or jokes and content linked to, or poking fun at, the lore of the creatures featured. In addition to the comics, the book ends with brief overviews of each creature, which might be the best place to start reading.

This is a really cute collection of cartoon strips about various mythical creatures. It's a short but very enjoyable read. I would enjoy seeing more of these adorable characters

I love the combination of cute imagery, humor, and Crypitids. This was a very quick read, made up of short, 2-4 panel, comics (most of which are probably published online) that covers romance, self-love, friendships, parenting, and the general lives of Cryptids. I loved this collection and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a laugh!

This is a super cute, funny illustrated book.
I'd never heard of the term Cryptids before so didn't really know what I was jumping into, but once I knew it was going to be spooky Halloween based, I had to read this.
The illustrations are so cute, simple, colourful and the right amount of Spoopy.

Cryptids are "an animal whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the yeti."

I've always found the lore and mystery of things like this so interesting and these comics were a hilariously cute take on cryptids and their different day to day situations.

But have no fear, if you haven't heard of some like I wasn't sure on some of the, there is a helpful guide in the back of the book.

This was a fun and easy read. I loved the illustrations. If you like Sarah Andersen's humor you'll enjoy this comic collection too.
