Plot wise speaking only, this one wasn't my fave out of the series. BUT. In terms of beautiful, emotional character growth, it ranks up there with #SparkleBell.

I was really hoping Singh was going to go against type and pick up where Archangel's Light lefts off with Illium and Aodhan...but alas, I will have to wait. This is what I call an "off" year where the focus is not on one of the main core group members.

I do enjoy the stories of the other Archangels. It was good to learn more about Alexander and meet Zanaya. The story, as always had good pacing and well-rounded characters.. I just miss Elena and Raphael's group. Hopefully next year we will be back with the group I love so much.

This was different than many of the others in the series, in the scope of the story was epic in nature as it spans millennia upon millennia. I enjoyed that BUT it did feel more like a fantasy story with a little bit of romance rather than as a romance story. The romance between the characters is kind of treated as a given so we don’t actually get to see them getting to know and falling in love w each other. Instead we see them growing individually and eventually choosing to be together but the story focuses more on their individual growth rather than their interactions with each other. So if you’re ok with that lack of real romance or at least the lack of traditional romance and you enjoy an interesting epic style fantasy you’ll like this. I do not think it will read as well if you have not read others in the series since a lot that happens here is happening in relation to several of the other recent books in the series. You might be confused on much plot if you haven’t read some of the others. In narrative structure it functions very similarly to the previous book.

Man, this was such an excellent read! I love this series so much, I love the world and the romances, and this was another fantastic installment! Alexander is an ancient-but so is Zanaya. It was so fantastic to read their story!

This book plays a lot with their timeline. They've lived a long time, and they have a lot of history, events that shaped them into the Archangels they are today. There's a lot of passion between them, but somehow they've never managed to stay together. I loved watching their story unfold!

Of this book, only 30-40% took place around the time of the rest of the series, which was great, it gave us time to breathe and get to know them, and their story, as well as set up everything that's happening in the present. And watching it unfold in the now was just fantastic!

Nalini Singh has written characters that come to life on the page, larger than life and with understandable flaws, and love that can't not exist in the world. They grow and they change, and they're utterly compulsively readable. I loved how their story went, and how everything played out!

I loved reading this book, and I can't wait for the next!

Did I stay up too late reading this in one sitting?
Yes.
Do I have regrets?
Not even a little.
Archangel's Resurrection is a romantic and sweeping romance between two immortal beings that share thousands of years of hope, battle, and temptation.
I loved their winding road to each other and am looking forward to where this series goes from here with all of the surprises coming!

Another great book in the Guild Hunter series from Nalini Singh, it had all the milestones that I enjoyed from the previous book. The characters were what I wanted in this universe, the concept is beautifully done for the series. I enjoy the way Nalini Singh writes her characters and the magic and the universe that they live in. It left me excited to read the next book by Ms. Singh.

"Zanaya stared at the fire around her. Sleep or not, she could remain in this strange in-between place for a long time without going mad. She had the will. And if the world needed it, she would do it. Perhaps, however, such a sacrifice wasn’t necessary. “How many archangels are awake in the world? Do you know?”
