A new author for me (and the start of what seems like a brand new series) I really enjoyed this book from start to finish.

I loved meeting the Raiders team and starting to learn a little about their personalities in the beginning then more about Caroline and her life and relationship with her best friend.

I though the introduction of Jake and Caroline was a really great way to start the story with a bang and it certainly only got better.

An instalove for one of them, Jake certainly knows what he wants and is determined to break Caroline’s no military men rule, which he does with style.

I enjoyed the interactions, the camaraderie and brotherhood between the team and especially the snarky moments between them.

The storyline was interesting and pacy with suspense and drama up to the end.

A really strong start, I’m looking forward to seeing who is next, Sam and Chris maybe???

This was my first book by Allyson Charles and I can say it won’t be my last! It was fast paced and filled with all kinds of twists you won’t see coming. The character development was perfect and the suspense is everything you want in a military romance book! I definitely recommend and will be reading more by Allyson!

This book was absolutely amazing. It checked off all my boxes. Military romantic suspense ✅✅. Fantastic storyline✅. Great, well developed characters✅. Action-packed✅. I couldn’t put it down once I started and it took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I loved. Definitely a great start to this exciting new series.

The chemistry and attraction between Marine Raider Jake Skinner and Caroline Carter was evident from the start. I loved how Jake would do anything to keep Caroline safe from the cartel hunting her and how he slow chipped away at her resolve to not get emotionally involved.

Hunted in the first book in Allyson Charles’ new Marine Raiders Alpha series. It was the first of her books that I have read and I can’t wait to read more. Charles does an amazing job laying the foundation for this new series through the introduction of each of the men in Alpha Squad. Their protective, strong-willed, and tough nature was evident throughout the book and I can’t wait to see what happens when each man meets their match in love.

I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoyed this novel!

The main characters, Caroline Carter and U.S. Marine Jake Skinner, were kind of awesome together. I liked their witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and their story arc. This was a solid romance novel and I found it to be well written. The plot was engaging and the pacing moved swiftly.

Caroline just once wanted to let loose and have a good time. That ended up with her date being killed and her barely escaping with her life. She jumped off the yacht and swam for hours at night to survive. She found a buoy that she could climb onto while she passed out. Jake was out with his team swimming in the ocean when he sees a body on the buoy. Once he reaches it he notices an extremely beautiful woman who is freezing to death. Jake has an instant connection to Caroline and is will to help keep her safe from a drug lord. While he is protecting her they start to have a relationship that just might be one for the books if Jake can keep the stubborn woman alive. I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
