Christine Rimmer sprinkles charm, warmth, humor and plenty of heart in her irresistible new novel, The Christmas Cottage.

Alexandra Herrera has always played by the rules. Having had her entire future mapped out from a very early age, Alex was all set on making partner at her law firm – until an unexpected inheritance from her birth father and a random fortune cookie compel her to walk away from everything she thought she wanted. What on earth is Alex going to do next? Who is she away from her high-powered career as a lawyer? While she figures out the next chapter in her life, Alex decides to leave her city life behind and heads to Wild Rose Farm to spend some time with her Aunt Marilyn and half sisters Payton and Josie. Romance is the very last thing on her mind – however, she hadn’t counted on handsome West Wright, with whom she had already spent a red-hot night!

With the two of them staying in the same cottage, Alex is determined to keep West at arm’s length. But that soon proves far easier said than done. As her defenses begin to come down, giving into temptation quickly proves inevitable and Alex and West are soon tangling up the sheets and indulging in a no-strings affair where feelings and emotions are firmly off the table – or so they thought. The more time they spend together, the more Alex and West realize that come New Year’s Day, the last thing they want is to walk away from what could very well be a love that could last a lifetime.

Will Alex and West find a way to work through all of their insecurities and grasp this unexpected chance at happiness with both hands? Or will their doubts and fears end up costing them everything?

Christine Rimmer’s The Christmas Cottage is a terrific contemporary romance that raises a smile and touches the heart. Sparkling with hope, emotion and wit, The Christmas Cottage is a magical tale about falling in love, chasing your dreams and finding your soulmate that is simply enchanting. Readers will fall in love with spirited Alex and charismatic West and theirs is a love story that will give readers all the feels.

A lovely, uplifting and emotional contemporary romance, this holiday season readers are sure to be bowled over by Christine Rimmer’s The Christmas Cottage.

This one fell flat for me. I couldn't context to any of the characters. And didn't really care what happened to them. Which isn't good for a romance.

This was a cute fast holiday read. There were some confusing moments that I had to go back & re-read but that could have just been me. Small town, insta-rich, Christmas themed.

// Where I’m conflicted:
The whole brother in law’s twin being the love interest was interesting…and maybe slightly weird in my opinion.

But I overall enjoyed this book!

Alexandra had plans until the help of a fortune cookies changes her life. After inheriting more money then she knows what to do with Alexandra drops everything and decides to go where her family and friends are. Somehow that means running into West who she had a hot night with after a family wedding and now they are proposing a short time fling till Alexandra figures out what to do with her life.

This was a nice little book to read. I did finish it faster then expected. I enjoyed the characters and seeing as Alexandra was trying to make up her mind on what to do now that money is no longer an issue and seeing the process of her trying to make decisions about her life. She had a romance going on with plenty of steamy moments with West while they are in the limbo of figuring things out and it was interesting seeing what was gonna become of that too because Alexandra really wasn't sure what was going to go on with her life and didn't thing a relationship would fit in what she was trying to figure out. This does take place during the holiday season so if you like matching up books to the current season you'll want to check this book out as well. Overall pretty good book I really enjoyed it.

This is the perfect Christmas romance. It's pretty light and fluffy, which is great when you're looking for an easy holiday read.

This is the first book that I've read from this series and I loved it. The sense of family was pretty good. The Christmas theme was very strong. I loved all the descriptions of the family get togethers and decorating the tress. Coming to Alex and West, I loved them both immensely. Alex being a career driven women was left clueless after her father left her an inheritance which meant that she never has to work again in her life. She had to sort out her inner turmoil. And adding to that is West, who is in awe of Alex. After a one-night stand, they meet again after a year and those feelings are rekindled. I enjoyed reading their journey to their HEA.

This is the third book in the Wild Rose series but can easily be read as a stand-alone thankfully. I hadn't read the first few books but I am so happy to be able to read this one. I loved this setting and honestly I am all in the Christmas story mood.

4.5 stars.

Workaholic Alexandra "Alex" Herrera has everything in her life planned, as she always wanted; she was a rising star at a prestigious law firm in Portland and about to get her final goal, a partner's share, with all the benefits it entails. Then her father, who have never been in her life, dies and left her all his estate to Alex, unsettling her. At the end, and following an advice in a fortune cookie, she decides to quit her job and go back to Wild Rose her family's farm to think what will ne her next step. As soon as she arrives, she gets an unexpected notice. She has to share her cottage with Weston "Wes" Wright, her sister's husband's twin brother, because she has the only available room in the farm and he's family, so they shouldn't let West be alone in an hotel for the Holidays.

This is a logical and practical solution, right? But here's the thing: Alex and West have a secret nobody knows. At their respective sister and brother's wedding night, Alex and Weston spend a passionate night together and promised to each other that it would never happen again. They didn't want the complications a relationship has in their lives..

Both Alex and Weston are very alike; their chemistry is the burning pages type, and their dialogues are flawless. Even though their time spend in bed is hot and alluring, their scenes outside of the bedroom is what makes the couple's bond grow stronger, making their romance credible.

As the third and last book in the Wild Rose trilogy, we see characters from previous books. I liked a lot Easton, West's brother, and their bond as twins is interesting. Also, Alex's sisters amd West's parents are great here.

I really enjoyed this book because it has a smart writing. The reading is fast and easy, with some clever and sometimes emotional moments. The way Ms. Rimmer plays with the times, going from present to past and vice versa is the work of a very skilled writer. And the ending of the book is marvelous. A great ending for this cute series.

As their feelings turn from lust to love they will realize that they may be just what each other need If they can find their way through the turmoil of falling in love at an unexpected time. The Christmas Cottage is a wonderful story set around the Christmas holiday and two people not looking for a serious relationship but find them falling in love. Christine Rimmer closes her Wild Rose Sisters series with a little conflict a lot of love and a Christmas an extended family won’t soon forget. A perfect holiday romance that has fans cheering for the couple and sorry to see favorite characters finding what they didn’t know they were looking for. The Christmas Cottage is a Christine Rimmer must read along with the other books in the series. A story that is great to cuddle up under a blanket and read during a cold night at home whether it’s the holiday season or night. A perfect story to get Rimmer fans into the Christmas mood. This is a Christmas Romance, and this is the third book in the Wild Rose Sisters series. I have read and reviewed the first two books in this series before picking up this book, but I feel you could read this book as a standalone without any problems. I enjoyed the one night stand/ fake dating thing that was going on in this book, and I loved getting to know the characters in this book. The Christmas stuff in this book was not a big part of this book. Some of the flashbacks were a little confessing, and it took me a little bit to figure out it was the past. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Special Edition) or author (Christine Rimmer) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

There is nothing better than a romance book set at Christmas time. This had it all. The emotion that this book has in it is amazing. I enjoyed this book from the first word to the last.
This is the third book of Wild Rose Sisters Series. I am looking forward to reading the first two.
When Alex had a fortune cookie that helped her make up her mind that it was time to change her life. Those simple words in the cookie was all she needed and it led her to a life she wants without even being sure how things were going to turn out for her.
Thank you NetGalley, Christine Rimmer and Harlequin for the copy of The Christmas Cottage. This is my personal review.

Crossroads....

Alex Herrerra had it all going according to plan. Until suddenly it wasn't. Now, reevaluating her life and career in the safety comfort of a cottage on the family farm, she's sharing her space with her hookup, West. West is the twin of her brother in law (convenient and tidy, two sisters for two brothers). Entertaining holiday themed read.
Recommend.

Alex and West have a secret past. When they meet up again at Christmas, will history repeat itself?

This was a steamy, heartwarming holiday romance full of family and fun. Alex and West are likeable and the chemistry between them is palpable. It's sweet to see them finding their HEA.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A heartwarming holiday romance. Alex just walked out of her workaholic life and is temporarily at the family compound. She agrees to allow her sister’s brother-in-law to share the cabin for the holidays. Unbeknownst to her sisters and their families, Alex and Weston have already hooked up.
I Haven’t read the other books in the series so I was introduced to twins Easton and Weston, names I liked.
Of course, I knew how the casualness between the two would work out but was surprised at who fell first.
If you’re looking for a quick romance to cozy up to while you wait for your holiday hunk to appear, try this one.

*I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

What a fun romance! This is the first book that I've read in the series but I believe it was easy to read as a stand alone.

The story follows the romance between Alex and Weston. Alex is a lawyer who has decided to move on from her career and find something new. She travels home to her family's farm for Thanksgiving where she shares a cottage on the property with her brother in law, Weston. Weston is a man who doesn't believe in love but quickly falls for Alex when they enter into an "agreement."

I love romances that feature broody men who turn into mush the second they find the right woman! I find them so endearing.

If you are looking for a fun Christmasy romance, definitely give this one a try!

The Christmas Cottage by Christine Rimmer is the third book in her popular Wild Rose series but can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Story Recap:
Alexandra Herrera has everything she wants in life. She has a great job that allows her to live the life she’s always wanted as a high-powered lawyer and partner in her prestigious law firm. Then, she inherits a large sum of money from her father, a man who was never in her life. After an awful day at work, she decides, on the advice of a fortune cookie, that it’s time to quit her job. She closes up her condo, travels to Wild Rose Farm, her family farm, and spends the Christmas holidays in one of their cottages.

When her brother-in-law's twin brother needs a room at Wild Rose Farm, the only place to put him is in Alex’s spare bedroom in her cottage. But, Alex and Weston have a history, they had a wild, one-night stand at Alex’s sister's wedding last year and they promised each other it will never happen again. But, will living in the same cottage cause those old feelings to reappear?

My Thoughts:
I just loved this cute story in a wonderful setting with lots of families around. Wild Rose Farm is one of those idyllic places I’d love to live. Although I have read the previous books in the series, now I want to go back to Wild Rose farm and find out about Alex’s sister and how their relationship started.

Alex and Weston have a lot of chemistry together, but neither of them wants a relationship. But, as they are living together and going to all the family holiday events together, their attraction is too strong.

I loved all the other characters from the other books as well. Weston’s twin brother is named Easton and he’s married to Alex’s sister Payton. I loved that Weston is the “wild” twin and Easton is the responsible one. All in all, The Christmas Cottage by Christine Rimmer is an enjoyable and a bit steamy, holiday story.

Recommendation:
I highly recommend The Christmas Cottage to anyone who loves romance and holiday books. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Alexandra has her heart set on a highly successful career but one thing keeps bothering her - her father, whom she'd never met, died and left her with a huge inheritance. One day, she opens a fortune cookie that simply says 'do it now' - she quits her job and moves back home to Heartwood and runs into West, whom she had a fling with on New Year's day.

This had some lovely cosy details of winter - Bailey's hot chocolate, big white jumpers, an inn, chocolate chip biscotti, leather sofas, the works. The main relationship was sweet and I really loved Alexandra's family. This was really enjoyable.
