This is a lightly-collected series of observations on Paris as it was and is and might be; it moves from place to place and thought to thought without clear purpose, offering a sort of mental flaneurie in line with its touchstones of Guy Debord and Walter Benjamin. I’m familiar enough with the theory, with Paris, and with French history that this was a delight, but the fragmented style and abrupt transitions might phase others.
