I absolutely love this series. 5*.

After reading a couple other books in the series, I was overwhelmed by this handbook. I love how this is grouped by region and then even more information is given, as well as a fairly in depth time line of historical events.

The book is divided in different sections; women around the world and the impact they had on others, women throughout history, and "meet the rebels", a section with over 300 hundred women and a lot of interesting and fun facts about them. I feel like this format is aimed towards younger girls than previous one, but I also think that anyone can enjoy from reading it, no matter the age or sex.

I am always very excited to read these, because they are gorgeous and very informative. This is a more interactive book than the previous ones, which were merely informative, and I love that about it. It even has a little explanation on the beginning about how to use the book,

The illustration style is as beautiful as ever and I also liked the colour palette very much.

Haven't read a Rebel Girls book I didn't admire and learn from!
The Rebel Girls books are a great encouragement for the girls who will grow to be the movers, shakers, and fixers of the world they will inherit. There are women well known to all, or to today's mothers, or today's girls, or simply good examples from prior and current centuries and countries all around the world. This excellent book is designed to make all think outside the box and act in belief in their opportunity to enact change.
The illustrations continue to be delightful, imaginative, and colorful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or public library!

A beautifully illustrated book showcases women from different countries and how they impacted the lives of many others. Although it sort of packages feminism in a cool way, it’s an interesting book to offer the next generation to fill any gaps in their education that come from most of us not being able to lead by example.

The book was good! What an amazing way to teach kids (and adults) the accomplishments of women that isn't told in the history lessons. Another thing I liked was how there was a focus on women of color.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was the geopolitically inaccuracies. An example is when they categorize Greenland as a part of North America, when it's apart of Europe.

The cover notes that this title is packed with facts and activities about 300 plus extraordinary women. The sections inside include an introduction, how to use this book, rebel girls around the world and throughout history, followed by meet the rebels. As is generally true of the titles in the series, this book is a terrific and inspiring resource. There are even q codes to link with additional materials.

This book has bright and snappy illustrations and short sections to read that are full of information. Go in any order-geography, history or the alphabet. There is so much inspiration here.

A great instalment to the Rebel Girls series.
Full of colour and engaging illustrations, it will definitely engage children in the content. Some of the women are geographically grouped at the start of the book but this feels a little patchy when compared to the sheer number of women included elsewhere in the book. The book includes exceptionally well known women, but also much lesser known women, so there is a nice balance between seeing familiar faces and discovering new inspirational women.
There are some prompts and tasks throughout so it could be used in the classroom or at home to aid learning and develop skills such as creative writing and critical thinking.

Another great book from the Rebel Girls collection!
I love this series and would recommend them to anyone who has a daughter or knows any young girls. Such a great series to introduce pre teens to some tips and tricks for resilience and self esteem building.

Simply fantastic! Everytime, Rebel Girls releases a book, I think that there is no way that it could possibly beat the last! Another smash hit read is about to land on the shelves! This one is absolutely jam-packed with amazing women and stunning illustrations. It is a an absolute feast for the eyes and teaming with information to ignite the mind of our mini rebels. Once again QR codes are used to bring even more amazing facts via audio links. Superb! As always the Rebel Girls Handbook is a wealth of great tidbits about iconic women throughout history. From Hatshepsut to Issa Rae to Kamala Harris, there is a wealth of fun facts about a bunch of amazing women who have changed history and women who are making history now. This book also has QR codes embedded on some of the pages, so you can look up additional information. My copy was digital, so the QR codes were no use in my copy, but they seem like they would be fun in a hard copy. I know these books are really targeted to children and youth readers, but I always learn something new. Review posted to Goodreads, Instagram, Facebook, Litsy.

If you know Rebel Girls, you know you are in for a treat of information and inspiration with this book.

The latest offering from Rebel Girls, this ‘handbook’ is unlike any of their previous books in its format. The collection first begins with a continent-wise glimpse of women achievers, with a few token women from some countries on each continent. This ensures a fair representation from across the world rather than having a US or Euro-centric focus. Next comes a timeline of woman achievers across the ages. Finally, there are mini bios of more than 300 women achievers from various countries, big and small. The list includes women of diverse racial and cultural heritage and even includes trans women and disabled women.

Unlike the usual format where the bios are written in a story-like format, the info is presented in a bulleted list this time, making it easier to assimilate and quicker to read. I found this format refreshing. I also enjoyed the ‘Your Turn’ segment that appears on a few pages, where it uses the achiever’s information and turns it into an interactive experience for the little reader, whether through an activity or a question or a fun assignment. The handbook also includes QR codes that can be unlocked through the Rebel Girls App for podcasts related to that woman achiever.

This book would easily be a five-star read to those who pick this up without knowing the rest of the books. However, as an avid reader of every offering from Rebel Girls, most of the content left me with a feeling of déjà vu. Almost all of the bios are taken from the earlier books in the series. So it was just old wine in a new bottle. While it was still fun to read, I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would have had the info been new to me.

I still recommend the book with all my heart, but I do feel it will work better with new entrants to the Rebel family.

This book was another great Rebel Girls installment. What I liked most about this book was the variety of women and girls from a variety of time periods and backgrounds. There was great information on each page and the book overall is very engaging and palatable.

Rebel girls does it again, I always learn about so many incredible women both from history and modern day with each installment. Absolutely loved the illustrations and layout of the handbook, it was super interactive and I feel that it would most definitely be engaging to the target audience! But truly, this handbook can be enjoyed by more than just pre-teens and teens but adults too!

This is another great installment in the Rebel Girls series, with an added section exploring the globe and listing several "rebel girls" from each continent, and a timeline of civilization and their place in it. Then there are short descriptions of ladies of many different backgrounds and accomplishments, alongside bright and colorful illustrations. I love this series, and think it should be given to all young girls.

This is another book of the amazing Rebel Girls series. Apart from having great visuals this book has the stories of various amazing women from around the world. Each figure included where she was from, birthdate, death date (if applicable), countries she lived in, and 4-6 facts about her life and work.
I loved the ‘your turn’ part of the book where you get the chance to to join the fun in being a Rebel Girl like what to you find most important? Maybe invent a new technology? Or find a hidden talent? or do a secret science experiment.

The latest in this empowering series. Readers travel around the world to meet women who have soared, overcome and conquered their own fears to shine in their fields. I particularly like the superpower terms shared for each woman in the Meet the Rebels portion. The authors also offer readers a chance to create their own plans/art/program to take steps toward their own goals. The information provided on each woman serves as a springboard to learn more.

This handbook is wonderful. It has beautiful art. I love how kids can learn about important women in history while they are they can also learn about geography. This book is a great supplement for the books or great on its own as well.

If you're familiar with any of the previous Rebel Girls books, you'll have an idea what to expect here. Rather than a few paragraphs for each character, though, it's been cut down to three-four bullet points, and this lets it fit a lot more women into the book.

Although it advertises activities, there are very few in evidence here. I did see QR codes but as I was reading on my tablet, I couldn't check them out - my reader couldn't distingish it on the screen. I look forward to trying a couple when the book is published.

This is a great entry to the series as the simpler format will be helpful for younger readers, and it will lead to people looking up more information on the featured ladies. Fantastic.

This book was amazing. I love so much the Rebel Girls series, and the goodnight rebel girls. You get to learn so much about these incredible women who accomplished so much. From Amelia Erhart, to Taylor Swift, from Simone Biles, to Maya Angelou, from Marie Curie to Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg. Activists, scientists, musicians, politicians these girls and women shape the next role models. Loved it!
