This book was amazing. I love so much the Rebel Girls series, and the goodnight rebel girls. You get to learn so much about these incredible women who accomplished so much. From Amelia Erhart, to Taylor Swift, from Simone Biles, to Maya Angelou, from Marie Curie to Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg. Activists, scientists, musicians, politicians these girls and women shape the next role models. Loved it!

“All Rebel, all the time. The Rebel Girls Handbook is the ultimate ticket to trivia, activities, and more about 300+ extraordinary women featured across the bestselling Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series.“

While I love Rebel Girls, this hit me more like a flashback-clip show of your favourite sitcom.

Even though most of this book is more-or-less a regurgitation of the others in the series, it’s set up a bit different.

The Girls Around the World section groups women by geographic location.
While the Girls Throughout History, places women on a timeline.
The Meet the Rebels section is all your favourite girls from the past, in bullet form.

The downside is that you’ve seen most of it before, and I really miss the story format.

The upside is there are over 300 profiles in this book, in comparison to the 100 in most of the others.

7/10

Thanks to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for this ARC.

The Rebel Girls Handbook is a great book and a beautiful resource for all children and young adults (and rebel girls alike). It has a diverse group of rebel girls highlighted and gives a timeline of their lives from birth to death. This book allows the reader to interact more.with this book than with others in the past and for that and the timeline I love it more than past formats.

In this handbook from Rebel Girls, we get everything from a timeline, to chapters with individual girl who each has changed the world in their own way, and you as a reader also gets a ‘your turn’ where you get the chance to to join the fun in being a Rebel Girl; what to you find most important? Maybe invent a new technology? Or find a hidden talent?

These books are always inspirational to read and this one was also one of them! I always look forward to reading about girls who in their own have changed or is an inspiration for so many other girls around the world.

My favorite in this book was the timeline; I love a timeline and it was great to see the women and girls who have been a great influence and continue to be an influence at this point in time.

I can’t wait to read more from Rebel Girls and get more inspired.

Happy reading!♥️

Easily readable book with some basic facts on a wide variety of rebel girls from the past through the present. Each figure included where she was from, birthdate, death date (if applicable), countries she lived in, and 4-6 facts about her life and work. I loved that there was a lot of diversity with what the girls were known for and where they were from. While I recognized some of the figures, there were a lot that I didn't know. I think every girl will find someone in here that she can relate to.

Some pages are difficult to read due to font and background color combinations. This may be improved in the print version vs ebook. I would have loved to have a pronunciation guide for some of the names. Loved the inclusion of activities with some of the girls and that the activities were accessible for many different ages, abilities, and socioeconomic levels.

This is pretty fun, I liked the short lists of fun facts on these women/girls. The drawings were obviously the same as the past books, but it was still a fun installment though I don't know if it's worth being bought...

I'm always excited to see another Rebel Girls title pop up, so I was eager to give this one a read. I really enjoyed that in this installment the beginning features highlights of regions and then broke down into countries, highlighting a few figures from each country. The rest of the book contains 300 profiles of figures throughout history and from all over the world. There's a wide variety of professions and talents that could prove inspirational for girls of all ages. In this installment we're given bullet points of important aspects or events from each figure and many of them include a QR code that can be scanned to learn more. As always the colors are bright and vibrant and all of the different art pieces bring life to the different individuals.

Rebel Girls publishes great, informative, nonfiction books to inspire young readers. I always enjoy reading whatever they're publishing; this one is no different!

I like that this handbook included a map, a timeline, and different activities throughout it to help get readers involved. The only reason this isn't a five-star book is that many of the women featured in the map/timeline section were also included in the general section. This got a bit repetitive of reading about the same people multiple times in one book.

I'd still highly recommend checking out this book or anything else by Rebel Girls! I love what they're doing and I can't wait to see what they do next!

This is a great book. Well set out with interesting facts split up into little bites of information in engaging font which makes it easy to dip in and out of. There's a colourful time line, followed by the facts about each woman, in alphabetical order, so they're easy to locate. A great addition for schools.

Colorful and eye-catching book. This book is a wonderful way to learn about Rebel Girls through out history and well as current times. It is easy to read and fun to learn about women all around the world.

This is a little tougher to read with my daughter since it's not straight stories about different women, but that could be her age as well as the digital format, versus the content itself. This is still our favorite book series to read together.

Seeing all these great women was truly an inspiration. I must say that I'm in love with every single book Rebel Girls put out. I think it's a genius idea to inspire young girls to be what they want to be. Seeing these women from all different backgrounds and ages was really helpful in motivating.

My daughter and I were big fans of the first Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and have been lucky enough to receive a couple of other "Rebel Girls" books via NetGalley. This handbook is different than the ones we've previously read, but not in a bad way! I enjoyed the beginning of the book, focusing on different geographically regions. My daughter liked the fun illustrations and descriptions of the girls in the rest of the book. It wasn't set up as a story, but rather a fun scrapbook with fun facts. This might be our favorite Rebel Girls book yet!

I absolutely love this book.. The pages are each a beautiful work of art.. Very quick reads about some kick butt “girls” who made (and are making) this world a better place.. I read it along with my teenagers & we all learned things!

All of these icons chose to rebel and not sit still & look pretty.. They grabbed life by the reins and made third own rules..

EASILY a 5 star read!

Another great book in the Rebel Girls collection!

Initially, this book highlights geographic regions, focusing on continents, then narrowing in on countries. It’s unfortunate that it’s limited to only two or three countries for each continent (three for North America, two for every other continent), leaving many countries skipped over. I get that in such a short and simplified format as these book cover, there’s a limit to how much information can be given. But is still disappointing.

Next is a world timeline, combining large global events with the specific achievements of many historical women. The timeline is illustrated with more of the gorgeous portraits as well as historical photographs.

Then the section of biographies. Each woman highlighted in this text has biographical information (name, dates, and location), a portrait, sometimes a photograph, and then bullet points talking about her achievements and her life. While there are some duplicates of women covered in previous collections, there are so many more women introduced, allowing for opportunities to further research some truly amazing women.

I especially loved the Your Turn moments in the book! They’re activities to be done, themed after whoever’s page they’re on. Things like write a song like Aretha Franklin’s Respect or write an illustrate a short story about animals in your neighborhood like Beatrix Potter. The activities are engaging and a creative way to connect with the stories shared.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for this ARC!
