I really liked parts of this book and didn't care for others. It felt a little too long but the spicy scenes were great.

Oh my. I don't know if I even have words for a review. This was SPICY. It is one of those books where you feel wrong for enjoying it -- maybe like I need to head to reconciliation!

Along with the smut, there were some tough topics covered and they were done well.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book may just be my favourite erotica that i’ve read so far. Ugh, the forbidden love and secret yearning in this book is just too good, and on top of that, i actually fell a bit in love with Tyler and Poppy’s love story! I found my heart strings being pulled whenever something went sideways with them, which is always a sign that i’m too invested in the story, haha.
The characters were very sweetly written, and the smut… oh my, all i can say is that it was very good.
solid 4/5 stars for me!

definitely something!

if I’m gonna be honest i don’t really know how to feel about priest by sierra Simone. Especially the whole church aspect of the book? But it was nice to see the characters develops and also pretty cool for the whole book to be his POV, it felt quite different from a female pov or dual pov!

ty NetGalley, sourcebooks and sierra Simone for an e arc!

This is a rerelease of Sierra Simone’s Priest. Having seen it recommended in many different places, I took this opportunity to request an ARC. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, Fleabag made me do it. Priest had a lot of spice but also a fair amount of story and believable character motivation. I wish it had been truly dual POV. Most of the story is told from the MMC’s POV and I think the narrative suffers for it. I know that some self-flagellation over the taboo relationship is necessary, but it did get a bit repetitive. I also feel like the third act drama was a little over the top and unnecessary.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sierra Simone for access to this ARC.

Sierra Simone writes it, I read it. I’ve read all three books in the Priest series and loved every book. Simone writes so poetically that even the smuttiest scenes have such heartfelt and deep emotions between our two main characters. I hung on to every word and felt the heartache both Poppy and Tyler went through as they tried to keep their taboo relationship hidden as long as they could. Fantastic!!

Struggled to rate this because it was well written but not my thing at all. I’m Catholic, so this was not hot to me at all lol. Catholic smut propaganda.

But - I get why people like this and for smut readers it’s well done! There was some plot happening, but the story here is the smut. (How many times will I write smut in one review).

I’m not going to continue this series bc I can’t do the Catholic thing, but might check out her other books.

I blame Fleabag entirely for my decision to request an ARC of the rerelease of this book. You know exactly what are you are getting into.

This was a ride of a story and an excellent book to boot! Very hot and steamy with many twists but an excellent ending. I enjoyed the philosophy and inner turmoil this story created and look very forward to the next part of the series. Definitely a book I would recommend, but not without its content warnings as not everyone will find it to their taste.

This book was so painful to read. The main characters motivation for being a priest was for all the wrong reasons and doesn't shed a good light on the Catholic faith. Which I mean wasn't the point of the book I guess but honestly the biggest problems I had were big problems.

Number 1: his need to clarify that he doesn't think of women this way or treat them this way because he was a women's study minor is a bunch of feminist hogwash. Obviously he does treat and think of women this way but also it just got really annoying to keep reading that fun fact about him.

Number 2: that scene in her kitchen when they "don't have sex" it was sex. Penis in hole, if only barely still counts and it still counts as him breaking his vows no matter how much he claims it didn't.

Honestly there was so much more but I feel like that is enough.

I didn't realize this was a re-release when I requested it. I read this back in 2015. I remember it was incredibly hot and hard to put down.

Loved this book! It got much deeper than I was expecting, and I was glad for that little bit of plot with a whole lot of spice. Father Bell was well written and had depth to him, however, Poppy fell short for me. Poppy truly felt like a character that was written for the male gaze and that's not my cup of tea, however, the religious trauma, the spice and the forbidden aspect saved this book for me. I will 100% be continuing on to the rest of the series.

Thank you #Netgalley for providing a copy of #Priest
