This is a good book. The two main characters are Misty and Lucas. They have known each other all their lives. There is an attraction. They have similar likes and dislikes. They each have some issues but together they work them out and fall in live.

Welcome to Majestic Maine. where we have three sisters, and one of them has to marry Aidan, a complete stranger to save their family business and time is running out. The sisters made a bet that the one who did not find her one true love by the end of the month, will be the one to marry him. Misty announces that she will take the fall and marry him and will spend the next five years with him so that they will get to keep their family business. How bad could it be? When the sisters intervene to help Misty find true love, everything goes sideways. Lucas who works for the family and has always adored Misty thinks this is the worst thing she could do and vows to change her mind. He must take his chance to show her how much he cares before she runs off to marry a stranger. Can Lucas convince Misty they are meant to be?

Oh, my goodness this novel by Ginny Baird was simply fabulous. In the first book of the series, First Bride to Fall we read Nell’s story and with this second installment we get to read Misty’s story. I laughed and I cried right along with all the different characters throughout the story. The three sisters are so unique and well written that you cannot help but fall in love with them and their parents. Entangled Publishing so graciously gifted me this book, and I read and reviewed it voluntarily. I cannot wait to read Charlotte’s story as she is the last sister who has not found true love….yet!

Second Bride Down is the second installment of an adorable story about three sisters determined to save their family business at any cost all while trying to find and help themselves at the same time.

In this book we have Misty's story, imagine her surprise when she's already agreed to a marriage of convenience... well let's be honest, it was a business arrangement only to have a Marry Me Misty billboard pop up overnight in the middle of town.

As someone that has two sisters, I can relate to this in so many ways and it made it so much fun for me to read and think of how my sisters would handle everything that happens in this book.

This is a fun lighthearted story that will just make you smile and laugh more times than I can count. With trials and tests, these sisters will do whatever it takes to help each other end up with who they're supposed to and I loved it.

I loved watching Misty realize that Lucas was there for her in every way and would do anything to help her even if that meant a little game of pretend while trying to get her to understand his feelings without just coming out and telling her in the beginning.

While this is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone, after reading this one I'll be picking up the first one and hope to read the third soon, this little town in Maine and these sisters have drawn me into their cozy little corner of the world.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for providing a copy of this book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Misty, Charlotte and Nell, three sisters, have made a pact to save their family business: the sister that has not found love by the end of the month has to marry Aidan, the son of their parent's former business associates to create a merger. Nell has found love within a week, but Misty is resigned and ready to take one for the team. But Charlotte will not take it and does something that will propel Misty in her best friend's, Lucas, arms.
This fake dating, friends to lovers romance is the second book in the Majestic Maine series, and although I loved the first book (and I even loved it better than this one), you don't need to read it to understand this one. The plot was fun, the pace was fast, and I loved both MCs. It's a fun, sweet, small town story.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Baird’ s second book in the series is even better than the first.
The bet is back on among the sisters about agreeing to marry Ethan.
Except Lucas, who has always had his eye on Misty intends to make sure she never goes near the guy.
Lucas was such an absolute sweetheart for the entire book. He’s supportive, loving, patient, and Sage.
The billboard scene was very funny.
I wanted cowboy Dusty Lane to find someone and Baird takes care of him.
There’s just Charlotte left and I’m guessing at who she ends up with.

In this second installment of the series, Misty Delaney decides she will be the one to marry Aiden Strong and move to London to save her parents’ coffee shop. Lucas Reyes, their store manager has other ideas and proposes a fake dating scheme to gain Misty more time to make this big decision. If she happens to fall in love with him along the way, he won’t complain because he’s been in love with her since middle school.

A friends to lovers, sweet, romantic comedy, Second Bride Down hits all the right notes. Misty and Lucas make an adorable couple, and have you cheering them to love from the first pages. It does require some backstory, being the second book, but the author provides it and you don’t feel like you’ve missed out on anything, so you can read as a stand alone. But what’s the fun in that? I’d recommend reading the first book, because I loved that one, too. I’m eagerly anticipating the third and final book to see how it’s all wrapped up!

Heart-warming romance between forever friends
The sisters: Nell, Charlotte and Misty Delaney have a wager: find their forever lover/husband before being forced to marry Aiden Strong, the son of their family’s archenemy and former friend. John Strong has died allowing his wife to reconcile with their good friends, the Delaneys. Misty’s mother and Mrs. Strong devise a plan which spawns the sisters’ project “Avoid Marriage to Aiden Strong.” In the first book in this series Nell finds her forever lover/fiancé in Grant who was her long-time crush. In this book 26yo Misty announces that she’s going to fall on the sword and marry Aiden, but Lucas has another idea. He’s had a crush on Misty for as long as he’s helped out at Bearberry Brews, which is a long time. He started there when he was only 14yo; he is now 27yo!
Although there is no steam in this story, there is romance. Lucas tries so hard to make Misty see him as her future. Lovely story but there will be one significant obstacle. Can their new-found affection handle it? Now I’m looking forward to Charlotte’s story. If you like low angst and steam but a really sweet romance, try this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through Entangled/NetGalley.

If Misty and her sisters are going to save their family business one of them needs to marry the son of their parent’s former business partners. Since Misty has no prospects, she decides that she will make the sacrifice however her sister Charlotte isn’t about to let that happen. Instead, she now finds herself with suitors lining up to be with her until her friend Lucas intervenes.

Lucas’s feelings for Misty run deeper than friendship and he isn’t about to let some other man swoop in and claim the woman he wants. He now has everyone convinced that they have been dating and with the help of her sisters he may be able to convince Misty as well.

I enjoyed seeing the evolution of Misty and Lucas’s relationship as they prove that they are destined to be so much more than friends. The situations they find themselves in are both fun and romantic and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the remaining single sister.

This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, sweet and held my interest. I wanted to find out what was going to happen. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is book 2 in the Majestic Maine series. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

This is the second book in a series, and continues the competition between the two remaining sisters, Charlotte and Misty. With both trying to find a man, Misty’s long time friend, Lucas, declares she is taken by him. I loved the sweet romance of this story, and can’t wait for Charlotte’s story!

Ginny Baird is back with another fun story in her Majestic, Maine series. It’s a friend-to-lovers trope with a bit of a Hallmark-y feel. As with her other bride books, this one was quite entertaining. It’s less of a light-hearted rom-com than the first book, with more emotion packed between the pages of the story. It’s cute, quirky, and full of hijinks and shenanigans, thanks to Misty’s sisters and BFF. If you’re looking for a feel-good read heavier on emotion and with a bit of fun sprinkled in, this will definitely be the book for you.

Second Bride Down continues the saga of the sisters trying to save the family coffee shop. By the end of September, all must be engaged or enter into a marriage of convenience with the family nemesis. Nell found true love in book one so who's next - Misty!!

Lucas is the most wholesome love interest who has pined for Misty for years. Together, they scheme a plan pretend to fake date to keep her sisters out of her love life. Lucas is simply the best "fake" boyfriend - caring, thoughtful, respectful and endearing with all his gifts and attention.

Second Bride Down was not as good as book one, Nell and Grant's love story. Thank you Entangled Publishing for the #gifted copy of this novel to read and review.

Second Bride Down is as the title implies the second book in this competition to be married by Ginny Baird. Of course, the competition is not for the sake of marriage but for the saving of the family business. The premise of this series is still a ridiculous one but such a fun read about these three sisters. With that being said, this is Misty’s and Lucas’ story.

The billboard posts did leave me unclear about the competition. Misty would have taken the marriage of convenience for the family so what exactly is Charlotte up do? Makes you want to read the third book to discover why.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book felt like a warm blanket, it was so cute and cozy. The small town vibe and the friends to lovers trope was adorable, and I felt like I was reading a Hallmark movie. Lucas was so sweet and in a lot of ways reminded me of Luke from Gilmore Girls. I loved the family dynamics between the sisters and how they'd do anything for each other. It was funny and really enjoyable!

Overall, it's an interesting story and I absolutely loved the characters but to be honest, it's not as good as book one was. I guess the novelty of the plot no longer exists. It should have been expected though.
Three sisters desperate to find a love match within a month make a bet and the last one of them would have to accept an arranged marriage. One of them has already found love and is happily engaged. Now it's Misty's turn but she seems to have exhausted all the possible candidates. Strange how she never even considered Lucas, who has been working with them for years and always has been a good friend to Misty. Thanks to Charlotte's intervention, she must pretend to be in a relationship with Lucas. And well, we know all the possibilities of that situation.
For a lighthearted and fun read, this is a good option. I recommend this to rom-com fans and I hope you enjoy it more than I did.

It was fun returning to Majestic, Minnesota for this second book in the series that is centered around Bearberry Brews. I liked catching up with the characters and seeing what was brewing between Misty and Lucas. The story was sweet and I enjoyed the list of activities Misty and Charlotte were completing. There were fun surprises and twists to the story too. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

This is the second book in a series. Three sisters have a bet, and the loser has to marry a man to save their family business. In this book, the second sister finds her true love. Misty is a likeable character. She's a little oblivious to the fact that her friend Lucas has been in love with her for a long time. Lucas is a great guy that doesn't want to miss his opportunity with Misty. I found the story to be cute and sweet. I'm curious to see how the series will end with the third book in the series. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.
