This was fun and sexy. I love small town romances and this one didn't disappoint. Callie and Hunter's relationship is sweet...and hot. I had a lot of fun reading this and watching Callie lower her walls and Hunter admitting his childhood crush on her. A very enjoyable read. Oh, did I mention it's sexy and steamy. Oh my :-)

A swoon worthy romance set in a small town with fabulous characters!!!

Callie Carmichael is home in Windsong after months away in Africa volunteering. When she arrives, her family isn’t home from their trip yet, so she is without a place to stay. When her best friend offers her a place, there is one little catch. Callie is staying with Hunter, her best friend’s brother and the same man she finds irritating.

Callie is also dress maker and is known for making magical maid of honor dresses. After wearing Callie’s dresses, they find their true love. Callie starts designing in Hunter’s little cabin, and soon he asks her to design him a best man suit for the wedding. He has had a crush on Callie for years. He is hoping the suit will help him win Callie’s heart, but will it?

Callie and Hunters story is so sweet. Both characters have complex backgrounds with hurts and disappointments to conquer. They help each other overcome obstacles while working on their friendship. Robin Bielman gives us plenty of lighthearted moments, and I was hooked from the first few pages. It was a beautiful story and I enjoyed the twist of the miracle dresses. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for my advanced copy of the book which I read and reviewed voluntarily. A solid five stars friends!

Who doesn’t love a romance to finish and sigh in contentment?
Hunter has been in love with Callie forever, who remains oblivious. Bielman uses the forced proximity approach to get the two together, but Callie is a tough nut to crack.
I wanted to shake some sense into her for most of the book while lusting after the hang dog, doe eyed Hunter, myself.
There is a HEA and some of the scenes will make you swoon on the couch.
Give it a whirl.

Charming slow burn romance

Hunter has had it bad for Callie since he first met her more than sixteen years before, but since she was his sister's best friend, he tried valiantly to keep her in the friend zone. Now he needs someone to help him recuperate and she needs a place to stay, so his heart dares to hope once again.

Callie has only her dysfunctional parents and her own personal experience to go on, both of which have convinced her that there's no point in ever hoping to find a lasting love. Instead, she finds joy in designing dresses that seem to do the trick for finding the wearer's one true soulmate. All she wants to do is grow her business so it can support her full time and enjoy her time with her best friend's family, since her own family seems to have forgotten her entirely.

Overall this is a delightful, absorbing romance, though it does drag a bit in the middle and there are several plot points that easily predictable. Callie and Hunter are both very likable characters and the entire town of Windsong is charming and supportive. There's a bit of rivalry sprinkled here and there and it was a real treat to witness Kennedy and Maverick's wedding. I loved the way the HEA was expanded to include one of my favorite characters from the first book, and the adorable Jenna was again a splendid addition to the story.

No extraneous drama here, just a lot of emotional depth and heartwarming family values. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman is a real treat of a romance. The characters this authors creates are always so charming. It is the same with Callie Carmichael and Hunter Owens. She finds that when it comes to Hunter, you can’t always believe the rumor mill. As for Callie she has a gift in making bridesmaids’ dresses, not just in the design but there seems to be a bit f magic that leads the wearer to their HEA.

I loved Hunter and Callie with their flaws, quirks, and goodness too. There is humor, silliness at times, earnestness, and a real longing for true love. So well written, you just want these two to see that they belong together. So Robin Bielman has done it again with such a real charming read. The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is a must read for all romance book fans.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is a page-turner. I had such a hard time putting it down. The setting, the characters, and the story are all perfect. Especially the story. It's one of the best-paced rom-com I have read in a while. There are no boring parts or dragging scenes. So I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to all fans of the romance genre. I also loved how Hunter and Callie's relationship evolves as the story progresses. It's simply beautiful to watch these two fall in love with each other.

Hunter and Callie’s story in The Matchmaker and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman, book two in her Windsong series, is a charming friends-to-lovers contemporary romance with a wonderful setting, great characters, and a swoon-worthy romance. The story follows Callie Carmichael, a talented dressmaker with a growing reputation for making magical maid of honor dresses that help the wearer find a spouse. When Callie returns to Windsong, she is surprised to find her family gone and the family's house is under renovation. Fortunately the family of her best friend, Nova, needs help and offers her a place to say. Hunter Owens, the town’s most eligible bachelor is recovering from a spider bite and needs care. He’s shocked when he wakes up and sees his long-time crush has been charged with watching over him.

Callie and Hunter might not be on the same page regarding to commitment and love, they have a lot in common. Both are trying to prove something to themselves and others, they are both kind and generous and caring, and they both love their charming small town. Callie sees another side to Hunter, one she’s never seen before; definitely changing her feelings toward him. Together they help each other in thoughtful ways. Hunter helps Callie with her fear of horses, one she’s had since falling off a horse and breaking her back as a teen. He also supports her designing dreams, and they maintain a healthy competition when they run for the same position in town. Callie also helps care for Hunter while he’s recuperating from a black widow spider bite. They see each other at their most vulnerable, which strengthens the connection between them. There is an amazing chemistry that sparks between Callie and Hunter; one that intensifies as the story develops.

Ms. Bielman included many wonderful and amazing characters that added to this story. The Owens family is a model for perfect and accepting families. Niece Jenna is a sweetheart and brings laughter into the story through her various antics. Birdy, the joyous octogenarian, who treats Callie as her granddaughter, and the antics these two get into; including their twitter account, birdcall. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend The Matchmaker and the Cowboy to other readers.

I've read three or four Bielman books now and I've enjoyed them all. Like the others, The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is a fun story that will entertain the reader. She creates real and likable characters and sweet scenarios..

Callie's family is unlike any I've read in a book. They're not hateful, just super neglectful. Poor Callie. Can you imagine coming home from six months overseas and not only is no one there but the house is unlivable too? It makes it even more amazing how good she is at relationships. She may not have a ton of friends, but she's got people who truly care deeply for her. Her relationship with the much older, Birdy, is just delightful. (Now I sound like I'm Birdy's age. And...maybe I am eek.). She never knew Hunter had a crush on her back in school and really doesn't get it now. I'm not really sure why she wants to be the local ambassador so badly when her bride's maid dress designs are really gaining popularity but she does.

Hunter is so determined to be the ambassador because he feels no one takes him seriously enough. He's smart and affable and would love to find his means to stand out.

It's a cute plot that brings these two together competing for the job. As Hunter tries to help Callie over her fear of horses, she's reminded of that horrible day when she was thrown but Hunter remembers the day he fell for Callie. He's so good with her and while she doesn't miraculously get cured of her fear, she has a wonderful day with Hunter. That day turns into many others, of course. These two were always fun to watch though frustrating when Callie was fighting getting serious.

All the characters were amazing. Like Hunter's mom who treats Callie like one of her own. As does the rest of his family. His tight bonds with his brother, who we met in the previous book, is wonderful and they're more than willing to take Callie in too.

I enjoyed this read and it really hit the right spot at a time I needed light and fun.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and Entangled:Amara for the ARC.

Such a fun read! The Matchmaker and the Cowboy, written by the wonderful romance author, Robin Bielman, was a lighter read with great characters.

When Callie is “stuck” staying with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, she has a difficult time trying to “help” him by making him a matchmaking suit…because that is what she does for bridesmaids…why wouldn’t the most eligible bachelor want her help?

This was a fun book to read, romantic, and I adored Callie and loved Hunter! I would recommend this one! 4.25 stars!

It's lovely to be in Windsong again meeting up with the successful Owens family, namely Hunter and his sister's best friend and (unrequited) love of his life, Callie Carmichael.

Childhood trauma and an unorthodox family life has given Callie very strong opinions about love and marriage.

Determined to make a name for herself and her business, Callie is capitalising on the lore surrounding her dressmaking.

Forced proximity is the name of this particular game when Hunter requires some at home care, following an unfortunate incident.

This book is just super cute sweetness overload, in the nicest possible way. Hunter is a charmer of the highest calibre at Callie doesn't recognise her worth or her beauty.

Seeing them get their HEA makes everything right in romancelandia world.

Hunter was a wonderful character and I immediately fell in love with him. Caring and kind, he's been in love, or at least a heavy crush/attraction, with Callie for years. Callie was a harder sell for me. I really liked how dedicated she was to her dress making and was a great friend to everyone, including Hunter. But her "no love for me" attitude really began to wear on me. Honestly, she's lucky that Hunter stuck around, because I would have dropped her like a hot potato. I enjoyed the story overall and although I read the previous book, I think new readers can start off with The Matchmaker and the Cowboy and have no trouble following along.

I was immediately pulled into this story with all of the drama which I liked. I could not put the book down. Hunter sounded like a cute, sexy, very romantic cowboy and Callie was so sweet. I liked how the story began, everything in the middle, and how the book ended.
There was just something about the two main characters, the town of Windsong, and Hunter's family that swept me away until the final page. I hope there are more books in this series because I am hooked! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

When Callie returns to her hometown after being overseas for a year she realizes that things are very different as her parents are of town and their home is being renovated so she has no place to stay. Her best friend Nova has always been there for her so she believes she has the perfect solution which is for her to stay with her brother as he heals from a snake bite.

Hunter will do anything for those he cares about which includes Callie. He has had feelings for her for as long as he can remember and now he needs to convince her. People believe that a dress designed by her will end in true love so he decides to have her make him a suit which will hopefully result in her falling in love with him.

Hunter was understanding yet determined as he tries to show Callie that she has always owned his heart and if she opens herself to the possibilities they could have the love and happiness they both deserve.

This was a great addition to the series. Hunter and Callie were perfect together, if she could just open her heart again. For as hard as he tried to move on from his crush, which he has had for years, he could never truly move on. When he gets bitten by a poisonous spider, she is the only one available to help take care of him.
Hunter was pretty awesome and a real catch. He tried to keep his heart out of the relationship, but the better they got to know each other, the harder it was. While I understood why she was hesitant to open her heart, and I felt bad for her for the way her family treated her, I got irritated with the way she treated him at times.
Overall, I really liked the premise of the book and the book itself and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

A new author for me and I will have to read more stories like this one. Hunter and Callie have known each other for years and although it was love at first sight for him, he is as only a teenager. As they grow up there's always a lot of angst between them.

It takes the sting of a black widow spider to bring them together. A fun and quirky love story that focuses on the family we make not the family we're born into.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book! This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone with no problem. Callie and Hunter have known each other for a long time. Circumstances put them into a situation where they are sharing living quarters. Then the fun begins. Hunter is completely swoonworthy. I loved him. Callie is a fabulous heroine. She's so strong and resilient. They are perfect for each other. I read this book quickly since I couldn't put it down once I started. I have become a big fan of this author and will definitely look for more books by her. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Loved, loved this book. Callie in known as the Marry Matchmaker, she is a seamstress for maid of honor dresses and the girls have all found the HEA. Callie has just returned home and has no place to stay, so she bunks up with her best friend's brother, Hunter. Hunter has asked Callie to make him a best man suit. Hunter has secretly had a crush on Callie, but Callie has had her heart broken and is not interested in a forever. Will Hunter be able to change her mind?

Loved the chemistry between Callie and Hunter, they are swoon worthy. Wonderful banter with many laugh out moments. Yes, a few tears were shed. This book is part of a series but is a stand alone. I highly recommend this book!!

I'm loving the Windsong series. Even though they are each stand alone books, you still get to see what everyone in the town is doing & how it's going for them. Windsong sounds like a dream town where I want to live. The people are interesting & fun to get to know. In this particular story, we are getting to know Callie & Hunter. I love that they have a history that Callie doesn't even realize the total extent as Hunter has crushed on her for a long time. This story was sweet & sexy. I loved how it was about overcoming fears & boundaries that can happen throughout someone's life from trauma or other places. Highly recommend reading this one.

Thanks to the publisher & NetGalley for advanced copy in exchange for my honest review

With humorous dialogue and irresistible romance, The Matchmaker and the Cowboy strikes at the heart. From unpredictable to emotional, Bielman delivers temptation with more than a few watershed moments. Hunter and Callie are the best kind of trouble. A heartbreaker that won't be easy to forget.

With the example of her own family and a series of rotten boyfriends, Callie has no intention of marrying, despite the fact that the Maid of Honor dresses she designs are getting a reputation that the wearer finds true love. When she is asked to help look after her best friend’s brother for a couple of days, she has no idea that he has had a crush on her for years or, that she will develop feelings for him….
