I was already halfway in love with this book by the blurb alone. Add in the adorable awkwardness of Hunter, the skittish sweetness of Callie, and all the magic of not only Callie's dresses, but the small town charm that showed up in spades? The Matchmaker and the Cowboy was basically a Hallmark movie for my heart.

Hunter came in strong, threatening ovary explosions with the devotedness to his niece and his family in general. He was adorable, and sweet, and awkward in that way that my heart can't help but love. I loved how he adored Callie. I loved the slow, banterific way they fell for each other. I do sometimes tend struggle with storylines where I feel like the heroine keeps one foot out the door until the end, but I really really enjoyed the ride with Hunter and Callie.

This series is such a fun take on cowboy romance. I am having so much fun with these characters and their unconventional love stories and The Matchmaker and the Cowboy was another delight!

This was a cute story about a women with commitment issues because of her past and a man who has secretly loved her from the beginning. Callie is a dress designer who makes bridesmaid dresses that almost grantees an engagement for the dress wearer soon after. ironically, she had commitment issues and doesn’t wish to get married. Hunter is a bachelor cowboy who wants to finally tie the knot and get over Callie, who he has loved for a while now. He ask her to make him a “lucky for love” suit so that he can true love and settle down. This was a great read that gave you that small town feel. I look forward to the rest of the series!

Hunter Owens has always been in his brother’s shadow and he believes being Windsong’s ambassador will finally give him the recognition he desires. Callie Carmichael, among several others have applied to be ambassador as well, Hoping if she wins, Callie’s designs, her dressmaking business will flourish. But first, one of them has to beat out all other contestants.
Callie is known for making ‘special’ Maid of Honor dresses since six of the ladies have gotten engaged shortly after wearing them. With Kennedy and Maverick’s wedding coming soon, she is working on the MOH dress for Kennedy’s sister Ava and a suit for Hunter, Maverick’s Best Man. The ladies of Windsong have a pool going on for when Hunter gets married and several are vying for the brides position.
Callie and Hunter have been in love forever but Callie was so distraught over her family commitment issues that she refused to acknowledge anyone truly cared for her. Knowing she was the only woman for him, Hunter played the field with the ladies while waiting for Callie to finally realized he is the only one for her. Now he needs to convince her that he is serious about his love for her and she needs to realize that her love can be returned.
The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is a beautiful story about a small town where everyone knows your name and family and friends are everything. You can read about Maverick and Kennedy in The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy. Both are great books and very entertaining!

My second visit to Windsong thanks to Robin Bielman, sadly this visit wasn’t quite as enjoyable as my first visit. I still got the same great small town feel, loving most of the characters and the story, I just couldn’t seem to warm to the main character Callie Carmichael. I tried, I really did, but she rubbed me the wrong way, and I didn’t feel she deserved Hunter’s love and forever commitment. Hunter was a straight up good guy, a natural flirt, he wanted love, commitment and marriage, something he didn’t think he’d get with his secret crush, and one true love, Callie Carmichael. She was totally unaffected by him, and had spent her life ignoring him, even though, she was practically a part of his family. The story was wonderful, it had a great small town feel, I loved the “lucky for love” dresses and suit theme, and I adored Hunter. I have to say that Callie did redeem herself somewhat towards the end of the story. All that said, I did enjoy it, in my eyes it just didn’t live up to book one. I'm thrilled that the publisher gifted me an ARC of this book to review after reviewing the first book in this series. We continue with the Owen's family, this time baby brother Hunter. The saga of Callie and Owen was wonderful written and I look forward to the next book in the series. It HAS to be about Nova and her MOH dress being magical, but is it with the mystery man from the bar in this story, or a surprise character? Maybe Brett?

Hunter Owen is the towns most eligible bachelor. One brother already married and the other’s wedding coming up soon. Her parents follow events where they might be needed to help folks gain their footing. Her sister has been traveling with said parents, basically leaving Callie to forge ahead on her own. Windsong has become Callie’s home. It’s a relatively small town and the Owen family has made her feel included in ways her own family never has.
Because of this Callie suffers emotionally with trust issues. She sees herself as easy to leave behind, so has erected a wall around her heart to prevent losing anyone else. Sure she has lots of friends, but she is careful about who she lets enter her world.
Hunter has candidly been part of Callie’s world for a very long time. Practically everyone is aware that Hunter has had a major crush on Callie. They are equally aware that Callie does not feel the same. But as accidents happen Callie winds up spending quite a bit of time in Hunters company and dare we hope that the wall just might become loosened.
THE MATCHMAKER AND THE COWBOY is a delightful romp that centers on Callie whose maid of honor dresses seem to be touched by a bit of magic. That magic is in the form of a usual event for said MOH’s, finding their true love. It has happened several times already and now Callie is hard at work designing dresses for her friend’s wedding. The Owen’s wedding is going to be the talk of the town. And Callie has her fingers crossed that it will catapult her newly expanded business.
In THE MATCHMAKER AND THE COWBOY Robin Bielman would like you to suspend disbelief and think of fairy godmothers and magic as participants in finding your true love. In the meantime you get to spend time with some of the best characters around. Robin Bielman carefully crafted these folk and the dialog that keeps you smiling and turning the pages for more.

This was such a great love story!

Callie and Hunter have know each other since childhood. When their paths cross will they be able to work out their feelings for each other? Dispute Callie’s past experiences.

Reading Callie and Hunter grow in this book was adorable. Humor sprinkled in here and there and of course we had some spice!

Over all an amazing cute romance.

Didn’t realize this was the second book in a series until after I already started but I don’t feel like I missed anything

The Matchmaker and the Cowboy, the second book in the Windsong series by Robin Bielman, will surely leave an imprint on your heart with
characters who are brought to life in the mind’s eye by this author’s talented writing, and a story that is as unique as it is endearing.

It is not often when I’ve come across an author who through their gift for the written word are able to bring characters into such clear focus…Hunter’s easy mannerisms and his smile and dimples are just a sample out of many. The story is woven gently, gathering emotions as it crescendos in the best way possible with a HEA that comes about in a beautifully crafted moment. The next installment of the series cannot come soon enough.

I've read a few of this authors books, including the first book in this series, and have loved them. When the opportunity came up to read the next book in the series I was pretty excited, but unfortunately this one has fallen flat for me. I really wanted to love Callie and Hunter, but for me the chemistry just wasn't there like it was for Maverick and Kennedy. Still love the small town vibe, family is awesome, although Callie's wasn't at all, and loved Birdy, the story as a whole just didn't work for me. Looking forward to the next book though.

What a sweet, romantic book. Enjoyed the story and the characters throughout! The story was lovely and let my attention. Five stars!

Overall a great story. There were some very unique story lines and humorous banter throughout. I love Hunter, but Callie was just ok to me. She kinda drove me nuts that it took her so long to figure out her feelings. I did feel like the story was on repeat for a while, then the end was rushed. I like the first book much better, but this one will be important to the series, so don’t skip it.

The Matchmaker and The Cowboy is a small town romance telling the story of Hunter Owens and Callie Carmichael. Hunter has long had feelings for Callie but he doesn't think she'll ever give him the time of day. Callie has firm ideas that happily-ever-afters are for everyone else but when she sees beneath Hunter's charm, she starts having doubts about her long held views.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved all the different characters in it. The story was engaging, well paced and took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I felt at times like I wanted to shake Callie to open her eyes and heart to what was right in front of her but she more than made up for it at the end.

i am hooked on Robin Bielman, This was a good one and didn't disappoint me. Her stories gives me that feeling and I want to read more of here stories and liked this one very much. They had me at cowboy and that was it for me.

The Matchmaker and the Cowboy is a really fun cowboy romance novel. I loved reading The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy, so I was thrilled to find out there was another book in the series. Callie and Hunter were both good leads, and I really liked their dynamic as unexpected roommates turned much more. Like the first book, this book was also centered on weddings with Callie's lucky wedding outfits. The writing style was enjoyable yet again; this book just hit a lot of good points for me. Readers should check out The Matchmaker and the Cowboy.....and The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy while they are at it.

I had the privilege of reading this ARC copy of this book. This is a book of a younger brother of a previous book that I read. Hunter has loved Callie since he was young, but she doesn't think she's the girl for him. I loved how they got to know their true selves. I don't want to give any spoilers. Very good read. I can't wait for the next book.

Felt like a Hallmark movie regardless of pretty much knowing how it will go its still captivating!!

Callie is a MOH dress designer and....magician? Does her dresses help your luck of finding the one? Some seem to think so especially when she has a really good record. Everyone that has worn a dress made by Callie has got engage!!! Shes now taken on the task of making a Best Man suit to hopefully bring some luck to Hunter.

Callie has a fear of horses and love, but with the help from Hunter she fights to over come both. She hasn't had the best of luck with love nor had any good role models to show her what love is. So when she starts falling in love she gets scared and breaks not only her heart but his too.

I really enjoyed this book, but I’m not sure if it was the kindle formatting or what made the font/spacing hard to read. Regardless of that I still couldn't put it down. I really loved Callie and Hunter and Hunter’s family.

A great small-town romance. The story follows Calle and Hunter. Calle is a dressmaker with a matchmaker reputation – whenever someone wears one of her designs (with the magic butterfly sewn inside) they find their true love and get married. Hunter is a cowboy and her best friend’s brother. They get thrown together when Calle returns home and needed a place to stay, and Hunter needs a caretaker after getting injured. The storyline just flowed so effortlessly. The cast of characters were interesting and realistic. This story had so many of the things I love about romances: friends to lovers, great supporting characters, humor, strong family ties. I highly recommend this book; you won’t be disappointed. Don’t let the 400 pages stop you, it flowed so well that you just keep turning the page and will be done before you know it.
