Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my copy of Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow by Jessica Redland in exchange for an honest review, it published September 6, 2022.
First off, I was to say, I have loved everything I've read by Jessica Redland, so when I saw this come up, I knew that I had to read it! Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I had a hard time feeling connected to the characters or being interested in this book. I think it definitely needs to be read from the beginning rather than jumping in here.

Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow is the 6th and final book in Hedgehog Hollow series. While the author includes a character list and their relationships, as well as a synopsis of what has happened thus far, I still recommend you read this series in order. There are a lot of characters, each of their stories unfolding in previous books, so to fully understand the story, that would be my recommendation. In this book, we finally get Fizz's story. The story is set a year after the previous story ended, and Fizz is in a relationship that doesn't seem to be working. Sam is expecting and her and Josh are quite excited to start their family.

I was not looking forward to the ending of this series, but Jessica Redland does a wonderful job of tying all the loose ends together, letting us know what all the characters are doing and what is in their future. As is normal in Jessica Redland's books, this is not all happiness and joy. The characters go through some difficult times, some shared from their past, some happening in the present, but it is presented with care and compassion, ending with an uplifting feeling that friendship, family (blood and found family) compassion and understanding can help deal with hurt, heartache, and trauma. I like that all the characters from previous books were brought together in this final story. Hedgehog Hollow is not just about rescuing hedgehogs, but also rescuing each other. There is found family, reconciliation, forgiveness, new beginnings and friendship. Thank you Jessica for this wonderful ending to this series that I have enjoyed. I will miss these characters, but look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

This was a beautiful book. I didn't realise it was part of a series so will now have to go backwards to read the rest.

This was both very warm and equally very honest, I loved finding out about the lives of the characters and the world of Hedgehog Hollow and its environs.

There were certain situations involved with Sam and Fizz that were very brave to include, and use to fill out the characters and their background, and deal with ideas that could be difficult for people to read.

I am now going to be on the lookout for more hedgehogs, I live near Tiggywinkles Hospital and think I need to check in, and learn more about how Sam, Josh, Fizz would have worked!

Is there anything better than a new Jessica Redland book? Yes, a Christmas Jessica Redland book. I’ve been so excited to take a trip back to the hollow and I can safely say, I haven’t been disappointed. Jessica Redland is an author who always delivers.

I am devastated that this series has come to an end. Redland has had me in tears as I’ve read this book. This is another absolutely gorgeous book filled with magnificent characters, drama and emotion.

It’s easy to pick up a Redland book with the intention of reading a few chapters but devouring the entire book. I have been completely caught up in the pages of this one, unable and unwilling to put this book down. I have loved every second of my return to the hollow.

I am a huge Jessica Redland fan and this entire series is definitely a favourite. Redland never fails to deliver a gem that is going to be loved by the reader.

This is another wonderful book from a truly fantastic author. I have loved reading this one and will be recommending to everyone.

Samantha is due to have her first baby with Josh is busy preparing for Christmas and a charity fair. Their center has also expanded to accept other animals.

Fizz, one of the stalwarts at the Hedgehog rescue center is a bubbly character. But she carried a secret for so many years until the person that cause so much grief is returning home. Fizz’s turmoil come to surface and the nightmares that she is having as she builds up her confidant to tell her parent is too great for her. Fizz also having a complicated relationship with Yasmin and she is not sure of her relationship anymore.

This is the last book of the series and indeed it ended with a bang! It had love, laughter and tears with full drama, emotion and more animals in the center. It is a sweet yet sad for me to review this final book as I became emotional attached to the characters and will definitely miss them and the lovely hedgehogs.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
The book centres around Sam and Josh plus another character and includes moments with all our favourite characters, as usual. There are highs and lows, thrills and excitement together with the romantic theme. Christmas lovers like me will enjoy the way Christmas is threaded through this story, from the wreath-making workshop to Christmas day itself.
There are sad moments but the book, like the others in the series, is uplifting. This is a beautiful, fitting end to a gorgeous series (though I wish it wasn't the end!) that readers of any age will love - think 'perfect Christmas present 🎁'!

Another wonderful instalment from Jessica Redland.

I've recommended these books to so many people and will continue to do so. Gutted that the series is finished but I know Jessica will continue to write beautiful stories

What a gorgeous book! The author has a great gift for characterisation - nuanced, interesting, believable people but created with a charming lightness of touch. Thanks to the authors warmth, wisdom and emotional intelligence, this book was a huge pleasure to read! A delight - as sweet and bubbly as a glass of champagne!

This was a cozy, heartwarming Christmas book. I enjoyed it.

This has been an adorable and dramatic ending to the series. I think it’s incredible how Jessica Redland manages to balance delving into the lives and minds of characters we have only ever really met on a surface level before, like Fizz, alongside maintaining a focus on Samantha, Josh and the running of Hedgehog Hollow.

The two stories are connected, yet separate, but somehow Jessica manages to ensure that neither feels lesser, and you never feel that one is the plot and one is secondary, like a subplot. I have always enjoyed this element of Jessica’s books, but Fizz’ story in particular really touched me.

Fizz’ story will make you go through a huge rollercoaster of emotions. It is heart-breaking, uplifting and endearing but ultimately it is a believable story that unfortunately replicates the situations of many the world over. Therefore, this was a brave decision by Jessica to take on this storyline. However, it is executed brilliantly and is a touching reminder of human strength and resilience.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Jessica is an absolute queen of this genre. For me, there is no-one else more capable of writing multiple perspective, addictive, heart-warming drama in this genre.

I was relieved to read that Jessica is saying “au revior” for now to the series, and that some characters or settings may pop up in later books as I don’t think my heart could take a clean break! Hedgehog Hollow has definitely stolen my heart.

Good read. Great characters, enjoyed the setting, lots of side stories weaved into it and it flowed really well. A good read for a rubbish day. Will make you feel better!

Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow
by Jessica Redland
It's the countdown to Christmas at Hedgehog Hollow Wildlife Rescue Centre. Everyone is gearing up for a festive season to remember.
It should be the most wonderful time of the year for Samantha and Josh as they prepare for the arrival of their first baby. But life at Hedgehog Hollow rarely goes to plan.
Fizz's job at the heart of the rescue centre is a dream come true, but her personal life is more like a nightmare; she needs the love and support of her Hedgehog Hollow family more than ever.
As the snow falls over Hedgehog Hollow, will Samantha and Fizz find the Christmas miracle they need to overcome their heartache and find happiness?
Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow is a story of moral support, comfort, and friendships; it is truly
compelling, uplifting end to this unforgettable series.
Hedgehog Hollow is an excellent series of books. Throughout, Jessica has skillfully tackled tricky subjects with empathy, care and attention. Her characters are all beautifully created, and it's been a joy to follow all their heart-warming journeys. The wonderful community of Hedgehog Hollow will be hard to forget.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all these genuinely unique stories. In addition, I have learnt a fair amount about hedgehogs along the way.
I recommend reading the series from the start to get complete enjoyment of the series.
I want to thank publishers Boldwood Books, author Jessica Redland and Rachel's Random Resources for the invite to join the tour and for a copy to read and review.

Hedgehog Hollow really feels like home now, that characters are so familiar and I love catching up with their lives. This festive edition was a lovely read and really good at tying everything together

This is a worthy end to the Hedgehog Hollow series. Although I am sure we will hear of some of the characters again, in future Whitsborough Bay stories, this novel has the task of bringing together any loose ends and giving an indication of the future lives and relationships of the people we have followed. The rescue centre has broadened out in its scope and seems on a solid financial footing. There is quite a web of relationships now and many people have found that Hedgehog Hollow offered them a fresh start.

I enjoyed the festive touches which appeared throughout the story. They added to the feeling of belonging and family. Key moments in lives occur in the story, both birth and death. Samantha is at the centre of them and you realise how strong her partnership with Josh is and how their lives are intertwined with others. You see the best of people but also the worst through instances of animal cruelty. Overall there is a feeling of hope and kindness, however. I have loved the series and can absolutely recommend it. each story adding to the overall picture.

In short: A resounding close to a wonderful series

When I requested this book, I didn't realise it was part of a series, let alone it was the last one out of six ! There was a lot of characters from the previous books but Jessica did provide a list of who is who so it did help me get an idea before I started reading.

To be fair I could follow this along once I got my head around everyone and a few of the events that had previously happened. I found my self falling in love with Samantha as she seems such a wonderful person. I was also left heartbroken with some of the events which take place throughout.

I haven’t visited Hedgehog Hollow before, it is a small world, with a lot of characters to get to grips with but Jessica kindly gives a character list at the beginning. You might think that this is going to be a light fluffy read but as is often common in this genre there is more than that. Yes this is a wonderful hug in a book, and the characters are lovely, warm people that you would love to go for coffee with but there are challenging themes too and that is what I really like about them!

I love the setting of this book, I can easily picture it and I especially love the characters of Sam, Fizz and Terry. Bless Fizz, she has had a tough time, there are relationship fall outs and also I would say a trigger for abuse so beware but it is dealt with in a very sensitive way. There is also romance, love, babies and of course Christmaaaaas! I hadn’t realised this was the last in the series so I need to go back to the start and follow all these lovely people!

Emotional, so heartfelt and uplifting, it’s the perfect start to my Christmas reading!

This was a great story. I loved every minute of it. Then why not 5 stars? This book is part of a series which I didn't know about when I got the book. I felt when reading that I was missing out of things that must of happened in previous books. Which means it's my fault and that if you have read the previous books then this is more than likely to be your 5 star book. I loved the story line and connected well with most of the characters. They were definitely easy to love. Which led me to be emotionally invested in there progress throughout the book. There was plenty of ups and downs. There was some great unexpected twists and some were rather shocking. This books was very well wrote and it flowed so well. I am actually gutted I had miss the previous books this definitely seems an excellent series. This book was a mixture of heartbreaking and heartwarming events. The death in this book made me genuinely upset. Imagine how much more upset if I had know them through other books. I definitely recommend this series of books if you love reading great books that evolve around nature.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishing team for creating such a delightful story that had me engrossed from the very start.

In Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow we read about what happened in Fizz’s past. The story is also about Sam and Josh who are awaiting their first child and everyone is getting ready for Christmas. The main character in this book is Fizz, she has a massive cloud over her with some very troubled events from her past which she needs to deal with before she can move on in her life. She has been living with a terrible secret for many years and now is the time for that secret to be told.

The book covered some very difficult storylines which did make me cry but as usual Jessica has dealt with them in such a great way. There was some very sensitive topics covered like child abuse, animal abuse, PTSD, pregnancy and grief amongst others. These are very much a part of the story, so need to be told.

This was one emotional roller coaster of a read and I feel sad that it is the end of this brilliant series. As they say, all good things must come to an end and much to my dismay this book concludes the Hedgehog Hollow series. I really could read about Samantha, Josh, Hedgehog Hollow and all of the characters for a long time to come. Whilst it’s sad this series has ended, and we are saying goodbye to the characters I do feel that Sam’s story has reached a perfect end.

Jessica Redland has done it again! There hasn’t been a single one in the Hedgehog Hollow series that hasn’t made me laugh and cry! Jessica certainly didn’t disappoint with this book and it also had a great Christmas theme all the way through. Thank you Jessica for taking us on this journey to Hedgehog Hollow, and showing us how to look after hedgehogs. I have absolutely loved reading this series. This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading them in order as it’s a wonderful series not to be missed.

Definitely recommend Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow!
