A perfect ending to this sweet series. Jessica Red land wrapped up lots of loose ends and gave this book enough story of it's own. Lovely.

When this came up for an option to review I was so excited and even more so when I was granted the opportunity to read it before release.

I love all the Hedgehog Hollow books (I think I've missed one though, which is good for me as I've got another one to read), but as I'm an avid reader, it has been a while since I've read any, so it took a few chapters to settle and remember who everyone was. If this is your first Hedgehog Hollow book, I would suggest you read the others first.

I loved the continuation of the story, and completely immersed myself into it again, (I want to be part of their friendship group), The story follows Samantha and Fizz, giving over chapters on each character's lives, as they intermingle and branch off. The story is hard to read at some points, like the abuse storyline, but it explains why Fizz's life has been the way it has. I also loved how raw Samantha's time in hospital was, and how some midwives need to take into account how vulnerable new mothers are, scared and think they are doing everything wrong, Sam handled the situation with grace and determination.

I am looking forward to going back and reading the books again and even though Jessica has said this is the last visit to Hedgehog Hollow, I'm glad she has plans to write about the wider community and hopefully we will see some characters pop in.

I would definitely recommend this series of books to anyone and this one gives a fitting end to Samantha's journey to a happy ending ♥️ Thank you Jessica for a wonderful series of books.

Christmas is coming, miracles are in the air
For everyone who for Hedgehog Hollow care.
With babies expected and romances, too,
A glorious festive read I highly recommend to you!

A fantastic possibly finale, it has everything you need
With drama, secrets, romance and more to read.
A heartwarming addition to this fantastic series
Returning to visit there never wearies!

With hedgehogs and badgers as well as a deer
The rescue continues though changes are near.
With hope and losses, celebrations and grief, too
You may well need to keep handy a tissue or two!

So good to catch up on the people there
Sharing in their experiences, finding how they fare.
For several characters they're finding romance
And giving love another chance.

There is family drama as history is revealed
About secrets that were previously concealed.
Being courageous to face up to the past
Hoping for justice to be served at last.

A lovely story in a delightful setting
Now no more clues about it are you getting!
For my complementary copy, I say thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Not having read any of the previous books in this series I was a little confused at times when other characters were talked about. But that didn't stop me from enjoying this wonderful small town story. Christmas, family and friends what could be better.

Each new book in the Hedgehog Hallow series is like a visit with good friends! I love how each book focuses on one or more characters and explains more of their back story. I also appreciate how Jessica Redland incorporates a significant storyline with relevant social implications. The hedgehog and other wildlife facts about care and conservation are are always interesting. Each book in the series always leaves me wanting another! In addition to this book's wonderful story was the fabulous benefit of holiday miracles!

Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow will delight both readers new to the Hedgehog Hollow series and stalwart fans of Jessica Redland. As always, this instalment is jammed with drama and life's ups and downs. Happenings have moved on a whole year since the last instalment, book #5 - Chasing Dreams at Hedgehog Hollow. The Christmas theme is present but understated and mostly involves preparations. With plenty of emotion, sadness and joy this fantastic story ties all loose ends together in an irrevocably satisfying finish. I'm crushed that this is the end of a magical series as I will miss many of the characters, but excitedly await Jessica Redland's next offering.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Boldwood Books via NetGalley and this review is my unbiased opinion.

My heart was taken the very first moment that I saw the cover of this book, with the cutest Santa-hatted hoglet on the cover. For an instant I felt a little sad that this was the last book in the Hedgehog Hollow series, but I then chose to see it as a celebration of the series and all things hedgehog, for Hedgehog Hollow’s ardent fans – the Hedgehog Followers.

This instalment finds Sam growing her Hedgehog Hollow family yet again, in more ways than one – although I am not going to give out any spoilers here.

I was thrilled to read more about the lovely Fizz, who has taken a bit of a back seat in the past, although I confess to being most uncertain of Fizz’s partner Yasmin. I just hoped that a chink in Fizz’s relationship could leave things open for the painfully shy Phoebe, who has had a crush on Fizz since forever! When I read about Fizz first day living with Yasmin, I was truly devastated at how Yasmin treated Fizz and her gorgeous cat, Jinks. I simply couldn’t get my head around how vile and insensitive she was. I was also distraught at the thought of Fizz having been the victim of sexual abuse, although I did think that Jessica Redland dealt with the topic in her usual empathetic manner- but then that is what I have grown to expect with any ’difficult’ subject. I preferred Robbie’s words – that Fizz was a survivor of abuse, as opposed to a victim. I was relieved that Fizz had good friends to talk things over with though – not everyone has that level of trust with anyone.

Throughout this series, I have had a lot of time for Josh – he seems like the perfect man and partner. I must however confess to quashing a tear or two however, when he turned up at an unwell Terry’s house with Sam’s sleep things, ready to takeover Sam’s vigil over Terry. This was completely unprompted. You couldn’t get any further from Yasmin’s behaviour, regardless of how long you tried to find some redeeming demeanour from her. Sam and her family have all brought something special to the locale.

The way that Sam’s relationship with her Mother, Debbie, has transformed over this series of book is both astonishing and heartwarming in equal measures, illustrating that its never too late. Furthermore, the way that Jessica Redland has dealt with mental illness as a whole, with Sam’s PTSD and Debbie’s issues, is both intelligent and empathetic, with a huge side helping of compassion. its proof that theres help out there and that people these days are more understanding of mental problems.

Sam’s nurturing powers are predominant again. She seems to gather human ’waifs and strays’ at a rate to rival her animal rescues. It is thanks to Sam that Phoebe and Darcie have a home, and that Terry has someone to care for him. One can but love and admire Sam’s compassion and sense pof fiyp, despite her earlier family life not having been the greatest. Of Debbie, Sam said ’I’d kept trying, I’d shown her kindness’ – a clear overlap from her animal care experience, yet nonetheless relevant.

The concept of having a baby whisked straight off the SCBU and the consequent breastfeeding issues were dealt with just as I remembered myself – so realistic that I felt pretty emotional! As for Brenda, 10/10 to Sam for sticking up for herself and others, and for showing those less confident, how to deal with conflict. Post-natum can be an emotional time and I felt as though the author dealt with this time in an appropriately compassionate way, although having read the very personal acknowledgements at the back of the book I can see why the problem was written about so succinctly. It is truly terrible, when someone who is meant to be there for you on a professional, yet highly personal level, behaves in such a terrible way, as to affect your big life decisions.

This book left me feeling positive about the future for Sam’s friends and family. In particular, I thought that Fizz was going to be ok. Sam and her friends and family have come a long way and many relationships have changed beyond recognition, mostly for the better. The relationship change that has made me happiest though, is that between Sam and her Mother. This whole series has made me happy and has left a warming happy core inside me. I am very much looking forward to hearing Gwendoline and Thomas’ story, with a generous side helping of Terry. Thank You Jessica, for such a truly inspiring, uplifting series of books, that has brought me so many hours of pleasure. Once a Hogger, always a Hogger🦔

Finally, I should point out how nice if was to read a book based in a COVID free world – how wonderfully refreshing to be able to get away from it all for a few hours.

This is the final book in the Hedgehog series and I haven’t read the others and I was able to enjoy the story, but to be honest, there were several references to characters and events that I wasn’t totally able to relate to despite the notes in the beginning of the book so I think that you would be better off having read at least some of the other books in the series. However, as I said, I haven’t read the others, and I still liked this one. I think having read the others just would have added to my enjoyment.
This is a heartwarming story of a small farm town and the people in it who rally around each other when things get tough. Samantha and Josh run a Hedgehog rescue center and are expecting their first baby at Christmas time. Fizz is hiding a dark secret which has impacted all her relationships and it’s finally come to light and it changes everything for her and everyone around her, but it also helps her discover who she really is and what a true relationship is
There are a lot of characters to keep up with but there’s the makings of a Hallmark movie here I think!
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I can’t believe we are here…. At the end! I’m so sad, I love this series, the characters and community that has been created by the wonderful Jessica Redland.
I implore you, read this series (in order if the best but all work as standalones)!
As always, this instalment is jam packed, drama, upset, highs and lows. There is never a dull moment and just because it is the last book in the series the fun has definitely not stopped.
Sam’s story is interspersed with more about Fizz, a character we know but only now learn more about and wow, what a story. It can be difficult to read at times but well written and I was safe in the knowledge Fizz was surrounded by great people in Sam and the Hedgehog Hollow family.
I won’t say too much about what happens in our final visit, but how great to read how far Sam has come and what she has achieved, how they have homed more than just hedgehogs and to see every relationship that has changed, developed, or improved.
A fantastic story to tie loose ends together.
Although we have had moments of heartache, trauma and upset, it has always balanced with love, kindness, and compassion. I will truly miss this series but look forward to what Jessica Redland brings us next.
Thank you for a wonderful series Jessica, I hope for glimpses into the lives of our favourites in the future.

Yes, of course it’s sad that this wonderful series is finally coming to an end – the cast certainly aren’t just “characters” any more, but very real people (and friends…) whose stories it’s been a privilege to share. I’m sure some readers might be tempted to pick up this book as a standalone and give it a try, having seen how much others have loved the series – but I’d really recommend that you don’t, and start with the earlier books in the series. The author does make it technically possible by helpfully providing a “story so far” and a list of recurring characters, but you’ll enjoy it far more if you’re with them throughout their journey, understand the complexities of their relationships and the history they share, cry at their sadnesses and celebrate their moments of joy.

Throughout the series, each book has focused on one or more key characters, with the day-to-day efforts of the hedgehog rescue centre and the lives of everyone else continuing in the background. The one consistent voice has been Sam’s – from the point that she met Thomas, her dreams of making good use of his legacy coming to fruition with the beginnings of the hedgehog sanctuary, the love she found with Josh, and her involvement in the sometimes complicated lives of the large cast of friends and family. And at the beginning of this book, it’s really lovely to see her in a particularly good place – the Hollow is no longer just a hedgehog rescue centre but now hosts and cares for a wider range of wildlife, other small businesses have grown alongside it, and she’s happily awaiting the birth of her Christmas baby. There are, of course, a number of ups and downs that follow – the small and larger dramas and emotional moments that the author always handles so very well.

But the other person who takes centre stage – and the other voice of the book – is Fizz, and she’s one of the stalwarts at the rescue centre that I’ve been wanting to get to know rather better since she appeared with her multi-coloured hair and eccentric fashion sense, her humour and lightness, and the wonderful touch she has when dealing with anyone in trouble (whether they have two legs or four). Her story is a traumatic one – but although it deals with a particularly difficult past experience that’s caused untold damage, there was never a time when I didn’t feel in entirely safe hands as her experience was shared. And, of course, what every reader will want is for her to have her happy ending – is there a chance that she and Phoebe (who’s certainly been through some pretty traumatic experiences of her own) might be able to become more than just good friends?

This really is, in every way, the finale the series deserved – every single thread followed through to a tidy (and unfailingly satisfying) ending. There’s a fair measure of sadness and more than a few emotional moments along the way, but there’s a tremendous amount of joy too – this is a book filled to the brim with warmth and love, beautifully written, and wholeheartedly recommended. I’m now really looking forward to seeing what this very talented author does next…

It was good to be “back” in Hedgehog Hollow and get caught up with the characters we have met in previous books in the series. Things are going well for Josh and Sam as they are waiting for their baby’s birth. But there always seems to be trouble around the corner, especially coming from the Grimes family. Readers should be aware that the book is a bit heavy at times as one of the characters reveals past sexual abuse.

The final book in a six part series, I wouldn’t recommend this book as a standalone , you have missed so much of the back stories of the characters and the hedgehog Hollow community
Fizz and Robbie have their stories told this time and what stories ! Not an easy read at times but sensitively handled by Jessica
All loose ends in the series have been nicely finished off, and we have an update on all the various characters, then the reader gets hit by an emotional rollercoaster. Typical Jessica Redland style !
A beautifully written series which I have thoroughly enjoyed, and would highly recommend but start at book one !
Thank you to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and Jessica Redland for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

This series comes to an end and what a beautifully crafted one. It was a bucket of heartwarming feelings and a book that shows the power you have.

Fizz, I love her. I needed to know her story. She is joyful, bubbly and of cheerful nature and an amazing human. Her story was heartbreaking but also one most of us need to hear. Your past will haunt you unless you stop giving it the power. Another sweetest character is Darcie and I love her involvement.

What I loved more about this is that even though Sam is the main character and part of the entire series and it all revolves around her, how Jessica Redland has included people close to her and other characters in all the books and given each of them their own story to share with us and it brings about a great impact.

Jessica Redland writes stories that are not just romance but mixed with so much of learning and are uplifting. It directly touches your heart. There ao many difficult topics handled brilliantly. It was I am not sure if I should say this but a proud feeling to see inspiring development in all the characters since I am so much invested in them since the start.

I can't say how much I loved this book and entire series. You will definitely feel good and happy by the end of every book, I am sad this did end but I am happy for how everything fell in perfectly. I highly recommend this one to everyone.

Wow what a finale!
Christmas Miracles At Hedgehog Hollow is another gorgeous emotional ride from Jessica Redland and I loved it. It’s been wonderful being back at Hedgehog Hollow with Sam and Josh and their family and I especially loved how Fizz’s story was developed in this instalment. Never one to shy away from a difficult subject, Jessica Redland has again handled it sensitively and with empathy.
With the gorgeous setting of the Hollow and the brilliant characters, Christmas Miracles at Hedgehog Hollow is a festive read to savour.

I can’t believe this is my 6th & final visit to Hedgehog Hollow. I really enjoy reading a series of books as it give you a much deeper insight into the lives of the characters, and with 6 books I feel like the characters are familiar friends. There is a large cast of characters in the Hedgehog Hollow series, which means although the can be read alone it is so much better to read the series in order as you understand the complexities of each character’s life, how they relate with each other and how each story is entwined with the next.
Although the book is titled ‘Christmas miracles’ it is not a particularly festive-packed storyline as the story begins in October and runs through Christmas-time; however, there is mention of Christmas and various nods to festivities throughout the book in the run up to the big day.
As always Jessica Redland has given us a really lovely book. I felt I was on an emotional rollercoaster as I smiled, cried and celebrated with the characters.
I really enjoyed this book, a very touching storyline featuring Samantha & Josh and a couple of very much deserved happy endings for the occupants of Hedgehog Hollow.
I am really sad to be bidding a fond farewell to Hedgehog Hollow, but I will most definitely be looking out for the new series set around Bumblebee Barn.

Hedgehog Hollow has a festive vibe in this final book in the series and reflects the ups and downs of life in the author's emotional and heartwarming way. Told from Sam and Fizz's viewpoints, it deals with the joys and worries of pregnancy and Fizz's disturbing secret, explored sensitively as a family reunion means Fizz has to share her past trauma. There are lots of memorable hedgehog and badger moments too.

Fizz's story is emotional and heartbreaking but ultimately positive and uplifting. Sam has to come to terms with problems in her life, but her story ends in a lovely way. It's enjoyable to reconnect with the vibrant cast of characters and see how their lives have progressed. The festive twist reinforces the importance of family and friendship in a way that resonates.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

A Fitting Finale to the extremely popular Hedgehog Hollow Series.
Jessica Redland has managed to artfully bring this adorable series to a close, tying up loose ends and concluding the stories of some much loved characters.
She has written an emotional roller-coaster of a novel and definitely saved the best until last. I cried so much, it was difficult to read through all my tears. Tears of joy, tears of sadness and tears of anger and dismay for what some depraved individuals can inflict on other people and animals. But the power of love, hope, friendship and community wins out in the end.
I will miss this series terribly, but has Jessica teased us with a possible prequel spin-off? We will have to wait to find out!

This is the 6th and last book in the Hedgehog Hollow series. I definitely recommend reading the other books in the series first. I am sad that this is the last book, I will miss reading about Hedgehog Hollow.
There are some difficult subjects in this book, which can make it difficult to read at times. There are also some happier moments too. I am pleased with how this book was concluded.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood books for my ARC.

This is one of my favourite book series ever. I love the whole atmosphere around the rescue centre and how it came about, it deals with family issues, deep friendships. romance and bumps along the road along with getting to know the characters better, so that you feel they are a part of your friendship circle.
Sam and Josh are expecting their first baby and I loved the finale to this series- even if I wasn't really ready to let it go!
