A cozy mystery sent in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains where Mountaintop Lodge innkeeper Misty Murphy is thrilled that the inn she purchased is full to capacity.. Throw in the dangerous Curves Motorcycle Club that is here for the weekend and you think what can go wrong. Well the murder of a beloved club member throws a real dark cloud over this annual ride. Who would kill Gerri , who was so loved by everyone.

Not only is Gerri's death under investigation but it seems that one of the other members is hiding a deep dark secret from the group. Is she the murderer? Are the rest of the club members suspects? Well this is one thing Misty would love to find out.

Misty is getting to know the girls quite well that they even invited her on a ride along.Misty is trying to reinvent herself since her divorce and riding with the girls gives her a boost of confidence, but things go terribly wrong. Misty needs to get answers so the reputation of the Mountaintop Lodge isn't tarnished.

Misty, Brynn and Rocky all band together to help the sheriff crack this case and get back to their normal lives. What I liked about this book is the writer created such a wonderful area you felt like you were actually in the mountains by a roaring fire pit drinking hot cider and enjoying other peoples company. It was very homey and welcoming. I also liked the point of view of Yeti Misty's cat. Yeti trying to figure out what was happening when no other human was looking gave the book some humor.

I love cozy mysteries and this is the first I have read by Ms. Kelly. I like reading a book like this after I come off of reading something very intense. Thank you NetGalley, Diane Kelly and the publishers for approving me for this ARC. I look forward to more from Ms. Kelly

I received a free ARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
Spoilers ahead: I will first applaud the inspired brilliance of the use of the fire hose. Beautifully done. Secondly, it was well written, intensely readable with convincing, realistic characters. Thirdly, and this is where a star comes off, it was kind of slow. It seemed to drag until the murder, drag through the investigation, then speed through the resolution of the two mysteries. Yes, that aspect might be realistic as well, but it seemed almost clunky when one is reading it.
All in all, a good book well worth the time and energy. I look forward to more in the series.

Another fantastic read by Diane Kelly! Though she is a new author to me, I have really come to enjoy the wit and humor in her books. The mysteries are interesting and not easy to figure out which is good because I need something for my brain to 'chew' on at night to help me sleep. The idea of a Mountain Resort as the backdrop for a cozy murder mystery is an ingenius idea.

The way Misty treats all her guests as if they were family, I love that someone can come to stay there, and it be like a home away from home kind of thing. The roaring fireplace, the fire pit and the trails, sunsets on the deck, I wish I could go stay there.

Rocky, Brynn, Misty, and all the critters have really integrated into a close family unit. I love reading all about all of their antics and I really like the chapter beginnings with Yeti's point of view. That is just so cute!!

I loved the first one and I especially loved this one. Keep them coming, Diane and I will keep reading them! Just a first-rate cozy.

The world building, characters, mystery are wonderful. It's a place that I am happy to be able to visit in my mind over and over again.

Thanks to Net Galley, the publishers, and to Diane Kelly for the ability to read and review this book. All opinions are completely honest and are my own.

A women's motorcycle group arrives at the Mountaintop Lodge in the Blue Ridge Mountains to spend a few days enjoying the colors of the change of season, riding the mountain roads, and enjoying their time together. Trouble seems determined to ruin their time. Misty, the innkeeper, gets involved with solving the accident/murder of one of the members.
This author is new to me, and this is the second book in the series, but the story reads like a stand-alone. I like the characters and the setting. A Trip with Trouble was a quick, exciting read, and I look forward to reading more from Diane Kelly. Recommend.

It was nice to come across a story where the characters were not in their twenties and still actively enjoying life, especially characters close to my own age. The story was well written and had some well placed spots of humor. The descriptions of the scenery really made it come alive, as did the descriptions of the characters made the story come alive. This was a truly hard to put down story.

I enjoyed this book. The characters are great. Parts of the story is sad but the killer is caught. Can’t wait to see what happens next. #ATripwithTrouble #NetGalley

Since finishing the first book in the Mountain Lodge Mystery series, I’ve been anxiously waiting its next installment…A Trip With Trouble, the second book in the series by Diane Kelly, was well worth the wait. With a distinctive plot, unforeseen twists and turns, and a rarely seen type of character group, the pages couple not turn fast enough as I torn through the story trying to figure out “Who Done It”…with its many red herrings, not to mention subplots, the story’s culmination was one I didn’t see coming…the perfect cozy mystery to lose yourself in!

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

The second book in the Blue Ridge Mountain Cozy Mystery by Diane Kelly. Intrigue, suspense, mystery with just enough humor to keep it fun. You won't want to put it down.

This is an innovative and fun novel. It is fiction but reads like nonfiction...it is about a group of ladies who ride motorcycles...that in itself would be fun to read about, but oh...they get mixed up in a mystery...intrigue...character driven...this is a talented author in weaving a cannot put down cozy mystery. The title is intriguing...the women are quirky and fun...I liked this book. It was sent to me by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy.

A Trip With Trouble is a perfect book for a crisp fall day. Kelly situates her book in the Blue Ridge Mountains as the leaves are changing color and during a perfect time for a woman's motorcycle club to reunite.
Going to the Mountain top lodge is a perfect landing spot for the women. A planned ride through the mountains is put together and someone is left to watch over the lodge so the women set off for an adventure.
The women agree to meet up at the Craggy Gardens overlook but upon arrival, the last woman to bring up the rear does not show. Being in the mountains means limited to no cell phone service.
The women embark on a journey to find their missing friend but it seems that there is more to the leaves and crispy air than meets the eye.
