"Mr. & Mrs. Witch" by Gwenda Bond is a book I thoroughly enjoyed. This charming supernatural tale combines magic, mystery, and a touch of romance in a way that kept me captivated from start to finish.
Bond's writing style is engaging and delightful, seamlessly weaving together elements of the supernatural with everyday life. The characters in the novel are endearing and relatable, and their interactions add a layer of authenticity to the story.
At the heart of the narrative is a unique and heartwarming exploration of love, partnership, and the magical connection between the characters. The blend of the mundane and the mystical creates a narrative that is both relatable and enchanting.
"Mr. & Mrs. Witch" strikes a perfect balance between the whimsical and the emotional. The author's portrayal of the magical world and the characters' personal journeys make for a truly engaging reading experience.
In conclusion, "Mr. & Mrs. Witch" is a delightful and charming read that left a positive impact on me. If you're looking for a book that effortlessly blends the supernatural with relatable characters and a touch of romance, this novel offers an enchanting escape that's well worth the read.

This was an exciting and thrilling read!
Why I didn't immediately pick up on the Mr. & Mrs. Smith vibes from the title alone is beyond me hahah! But that is exactly what this is and it's fun! Savvy and Griffin each belong to organizations that are, by all intents and purposes, enemies but they have the same goals. Protect the humans. When a chance encounter finds them crossing paths, their worlds soon explode as they fall deeply in love, leading up to a catastrophe of a wedding where their secret identities are exposed.
I found both Savvy and Griffin's relationship endearing. They have to decide between their love or their upbringing and I all comes to a head in an exciting way.
I absolutely adored the other characters as well. Diego, Griffin's best friend, has more sass than he can handle, and it keeps you laughing every time he is on the page. I would happily read a spin-off dedicated to him. Also, the familiars of the witches were both adorable and intelligent.

I will admit, I’ve never seen Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but the know the basic premise and thought the addition of magic sounded pretty fun. I was not disappointed. Gwenda Bond writes fun and easy-to-devour stories, perfect for vacation or the beach!

A fun and quick read though more witchy than based on the movie it's title references which was disappointing for me. This author does paranormal rom coms well though and I enjoyed it. The characters are well developed and the side characters added a ton of interest.

I appreciate the opportunity to read this book.
However I was not able to finish this book. I got about 75 pages in and I could not make myself read anymore. It took me a long time to get 75 pages read. I like the idea behind the book, but it just didn't hold my attention. Nothing grabbed me making me want to finish this book. Just because it was not my cup of tea, doesn't mean that someone else won't like it.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin for the opportunity to read this book.

After Witch Savannah falls hard - and fast - for supernatural witch hunter Griffin, their wedding quickly turns into a Mr. and Mrs. Smith assassination situation. However, the two quickly realize that teaming up is the only way to make it out alive.
This was a quick listen for me, and I enjoyed it overall. While supernatural romances are by definition unrealistic, this book Flashbacks are used to show how Savvy and Griffin fell in love, but their families and it was a little too choatic at times.

On the one hand, this book is a relatively quick and easy read. I just happened to pick it up at the start of a book slump and struggled my way through it. I also did not realize it was a dual-timeline narration style, something I tend to avoid.
There was a lot to love about the book. Savannah and Griffin work for opposing factions that both essentially have the same goal of keeping magic out of dangerous hands and keeping it hidden from the normal world. The two of them find themselves thrown together over and over on various missions until they start to come together on their own. They have excellent chemistry and watching them fall in love while hiding their real selves was interesting. The drama of finding out they worked for opposing factions at their wedding and the following kill orders from their respective clan leaders was high-stakes action at its best. I just wished the action of their story wasn’t constantly being stopped and slowed by the flashback scenes of their initial romance story.
Still, despite my issues with the timeline, I did enjoy the book. The action and mystery of the book more than made up for any misgivings I had about the timeline. Nothing is what it seems, betrayal comes from the most unexpected of places, as does loyalty and friendship. It’s definitely worth a read.

This is a retelling of Mr and Mrs Smith but with witches! It’s super fun and quirky. A powerful witch falls for her weekly professor. They secretly work for opposing sides as spys. But they have to either come together and work as a team or kill eachother. This is a pretty cute book, and I love the added supernatural world.

"Savannah Wilde is a witch, a very powerful one—an identity that only her fellow witches know. Following a whirlwind romance that surprised herself and her family, Savvy is all set to marry the love of her life. But she isn’t the only one with a secret that needs to be kept, even from her soon-to-be husband.
Griffin Carter is a top agent for a clandestine organization that, well, used to primarily hunt witches, but now mainly tries to shut down supernatural threats their own way. He can’t wait to lay his eyes on the woman he’s about to spend the rest of his life with."
A witchy Mr and Mrs Smith, enemies to lovers, sweet and nerdy MCs = SIGN ME UP! A perfect fall story.
I was able to read this book thanks to NetGalley sending me a free eARC. All of the statements above are my own opinions.

This was such a cute book! I loved the relationship between Savy and Griffin! The book has some spice but I would say only a 1.5 🌶️. Such a great plot twist. There was just enough stakes that it kept me interested thanks to the flipping between the beginning on their relationship and current events! And Harris’ POV was adorable!

This is my first book from Gwenda Bond and I feel like I've been missing out! This book had Bewitched vibes, and I really enjoyed it!

Kind of like a paranormal Mr and Mrs smith.
Savvy is a witch and griffin is a witch hunter.
They find at the alter during their wedding. Soon they are both tasked with killing each other but there's more going on then they know.

This negative review is more on me than anyone else. I should have checked who the author was after reading the synopsis...before clicking request. Gwenda Bond's characters and writing are just not my cup of tea. I attempted to read 'Not Your Average Hot Guy' and couldn't get through it. If I'd noticed that this book was also by the same author I never would have requested it.
I did try to give this one a fair shot and I liked it more than Bond's previous work, though still not enough to push through. I DNF'd at 30%.
I know other people enjoy her work and I'm sure if you liked her other books, you'd like this one. Just not for me.

This was so well written. I was engrossed from the first page and it ticked all the boxes of my expectations. The character development was excellent. I would definitely recommend to others, a must read!

This book started out with a bang but lost it's way somewhere in the middle. It took me longer to read it than I was expecting. I don't think I connected with the characters like I should have.

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.
My Thoughts: In typically do not care for fantasy books, not my genre. However, throw a witch and some magic, and I am in! This duo, each powerful in their own agency, and secretive agencies. The swoonest relationship to end in a wedding kicks off the beginning of a nightmare that will take power from within to get through. This would be a perfect read anytime of the year, but especially at Halloween.
The story is a dual narration. Savy is a very independently strong witch. Griffin is a compassionate witch hunter. This was more than a romance. It had a fantasy element. An action element. A mystery element. And a swoony romance element. The characters were developed well. The chemistry and witty banter between the characters was fantastic and added to the novel. The author’s writing style was magical, swoony, humorous, and creative.
I enjoyed this story and would recommend for other readers. Even if you do not like fantasy, I would give this one a try. I am hoping there will be a book two involving Diego and Brie.

This was a super cute and fun witchy romance with a kind of enemies to lovers feel. I loved the connection between Savannah and Griffin. You could feel their electricity instantaneously. Though parts of the book were a little slow, overall this was an enjoyable read. Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for the ARC.

Whats better than a secret organization that polices dark and mis-used magic? Two secret organizations that police magic. And better than two organizations? A bitter fued that has spanned the centuries since the Salem witch trials. And better than a feud? How about our two main characters who are about to be married belonging to each of the organizations and not knowing that the other is also involved. But when the truth comes out, each is given a task... take out the other. I loved this paranormal spin on Mr. And Mrs. Smith. I also really liked the way the narrative jumped from the present day to their past encounters as they were recalling them! A definite recommend. I cant get enough of Savvy and Griffin. Hopefully they make a cameo if the author decides to branch out with other characters!

I received this book for free from Netgalley for an honest review.
Witchy vibes and action in spades! Great just read. I'm glad I got to read it.

Mr. & Mrs. Witch has a Mr. & Mrs. Smith vibe, but I was here for it. Savvy and Griffin have no idea until their wedding day that they are supernatural enemies. Savannah is a witch, Griffin is a witch hunter. This all comes out in a hilarious way and leads them down the path of figuring out what is truly going on (it's way more than just being supernatural enemies!).
Savvy and Griffin makes such a great pair, and even when they are on opposites sides you can feel their chemistry. There is plenty of action, and the plot moves quickly. Mr. & Mrs. Witch was so hard to put down!
