At first, I wasn't sure about this series and book but the more I listened the more invested I got! I really hope there is another book that is going to take down Eric's grandfather's pharmaceutical company and the people in the government who were complicit in this scheme! I also really like that even though all these teens were thought to be ruthless, non-caring killers they have proved that they were more than that by saving each other.

this reminded me so much of the teen killers club and I loved that book. I enjoyed this one as well but it didn't live up to the other one. that usually happens for me with the second in a series. I loved the love story and I LOVED our main characters. I highly recommend for teens.

Book 2 picks up within hours of book one ending. Signal and Erik are on the run trying to not only live life but prove that signal is not a killer. Prove that the Wylie Stanton is flawed and shouldn’t be used against kids and teens, or even adults, to prove who does or does not have the ability to kill people. This book does have the standard teen love tropes, but set in a serial killer’s world put a very different spin on things. The story also gets more complicated. We finally get information about why Erik’s kill number is so high, who he really is, and how his family plays into not only the camp, but the Wylie Stanton itself. This book is a family drama, and this is one time where I can say, the second book is honestly better than the first. It has a Manchurian candidate vibe towards the middle, that in the end just makes the story more in-depth and more edge of your seat. Honestly, the worst part about this book is that it doesn’t end. You have a cliffhanger and the fact that I’m going to have to wait a year for a third book is killer. Book 3 needs to get here sooner! I must know that there was a happily ever after somewhere along here. I have to know that our society can and will do better. I love this book, I tell everybody they have to read at least the first book and I’m going to tell them they have to read the first book so they can read the second book! So check out the series add it to your TBR, and buy the book so the author can write the third one.

It’s rare to see a series go from a five-star first book to a one-star second book, but here we are.

When reading the first book in this series, I remember thinking it was odd that the title was so cringe, because it was such a fun and well-written story. This time around, the cringe is kind of perfect for the story we get.

Part of the problem is that what started as an excellent suspense thriller style plot has now devolved into an angsty romance. Some of this is a personal preference issue for me, but the whole thing seems so badly conceived and so far off from where the series started that I’m not sure if it really matters if you’re into dramatic romances or not.

Some of the problem for me was the audiobook version. The narrator is…not good. I’ve encountered her before, typically in young adult books, and her near hysterical, over the top style is pretty much unlistenable because it’s so hammy and overwrought, and it makes a plot overrun with absurd teen angst even more unpalatable.

I’m surprised that the author took this turn, because the first book was so measured and smart about the way it built suspense. Signal was never an exceptionally good protagonist, but she was certainly likable enough at the outset of the series. In this book she becomes maudlin and screechy. And Eric, well, he was already fairly unappealing and now he’s…worse.

I still recommend the first book in this series because it’s such a fun ride. But I now also recommend quitting while you’re ahead and not continuing the series.

Teen Killers in Love was a great follow up to the first book Teen Killers Club. We pick up with the underage criminals, and find out there is more to camp then what was previously believed. I so think that there were alot of twist and turns crammed into this storyline that could have been possibly made into more than one story. Sometimes trying to throw too many curveballs into one storyline can leave the details lacking in areas that could use buffing up. Being a sequel, I didn't have any expectations of it blowing me out of the water like the previous book did, but I was pleasantly surprised with the overall story! I hope to see a third book and maybe there will be more divulged about the "Class A" system that drew me into the first book. It is a great, unique twist on profiling criminals and I want to know more!!
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishers for allowing me to read the ARC audiobook!

I would like to thank the Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for providing me with an audio arc
Going into this, I wish that I had known that this was the second book in a series. There wasn't much labeling it as a second book. I still tried to push on, hoping that I would be able to. Get into the story without much issues, which I was able to, but I just did not find the characters very compelling.
I think the idea behind this book was a lot more interesting than what I actually listened to. I also was not very fond of the narrator. There were parts with the narration that just seemed way too overdone. The dialogue also felt very awkward. The plot that just did not interest me at all, especially the roadtrip plot. I also was not enjoying the characters themselves. I know teenagers can be very dramatic, but this just really felt very overdone. Unfortunately, this book just did not work for me.

This is a fun continuation of the Teen Killers story. The plot is suitably complex but the pacing in the first half is wildly slow. There are a few "big reveals" but the action doesn't start until the last 1/3. I enjoyed the relationship between Signal and Eric, but I would have rather switched to a parallel Nobody storyline. Maybe that can be the third book?

This sequel was everything I wanted and more. Signal is a favorite of mine and I cannot help but love Erik. The whole crew are misfits that I love. I sure hope there is another one. I just love these books. I couldn't put it down. If you loved the firstone, you will love this one! Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Teen Killers in Love by Lily Sparks (narrated by Jesse Vilinsky)

To start off, I requested an ARC of this book without knowing it was a sequel. When I got approved and realized that, I rolled my eyes, because I needed to read the first one before I could get this one underway. Had I known I probably would not have requested it. But. Am. I. Glad. I. Did! I happened to be at my public library when I received the notification that I had been approved for Teen Killers in Love and lucky for me, they had the first one!

The first one in the series, Teen Killers Club, was ah-maz-ing! I am a high school librarian and will definitely add this to my collection and recommend it over and over. The story was solid, well written, well told, with phenomenal character development. The parts that really couldn't happen in real life seemed like they could most certainly happen in real life.

Signal has been sent away for murdering her best friend. In order to get out of prison earlier, she agrees to a deal that sends her to a camp where she becomes a member of the "Teen Killers Club" along with 7 other misfits. Unfortunately, this club teaches them to become assassins "and not get caught." Unexpected friendships form and of course things don't quite go according to the director's plan. That’s the synopsis for the first one. In the second book, Teen Killers in Love, Signal and Erik are on the run to prove Signal’s innocence, neutralize their friends’ kill switches, and stop the program from continuing.

This was a strong sequel. The story was solid, well written, well told, with phenomenal character development. The parts that really couldn't happen in real life seemed like they could most certainly happen in real life. Unfortunately, unlike the first book, there was a portion in the middle that seemed to drag a bit, but it sooned picked back up and continued with an action filled, exciting conclusion. I can’t wait for the third book!

I received this as an audiobook. Jesse Vilinksy did a phenomenal job. One of the best narrators I have ever listened to. She added depth and drama to the characters that filled them with more life and the story with more feeling.

This is a highly recommended young adult coming-of-age thriller full of mystery and action. I will definitely be including it in my high school library. Almost five stars! The first book is five, this one is four!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an audiobook ARC of this title for review.

CW: forced institutionalization, murder, torture, blood, probably more that I’m forgetting

I really enjoyed this book! I also really enjoyed the first book, Teen Killers Club, and while this doesn’t specify that it’s a series (on GoodReads anyway), it absolutely is. This one basically starts right where TKC ends, and thankfully I mostly remembered what happened in that book!

I don’t think I would say this is a romance, so much as it is a murdery book with a love story in it? There is a lot of messed up stuff happening in this book (just as it did in the first book), and we get a lot more background info about how Camp Neramaka (sp? the hazards of audiobooks!) was founded, as well Eric’s background and the story about his body count (the people he killed). There were parts where I found that Signal was being a bit unreasonable, but overall, I really liked everything that happened in this book.

It’s also quite obviously set up for another book, and I am very much looking forward to that!

This was my first audobook from netgalley and i loved it, eric was interesting, well written, signal was a fantastic mc and i love her she is great, i never read the previous story, so take that in mind when reading this review.
The only things i didnt really like was some of the names like signal is strange (as i have said i havent read the book so im assuming that's how its spelled and its not sygnal or something) also the name nobody was kinda confusing at first. But either then that i really did enjoy the book.

What a page turner! I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook of Teen Killers in Love. The pacing was excellent for the story enough action and romance to keep my interest. I was surprised to find out that this was a sequel and I have plans to read the original book after listening to this one. Signal and Erik are great characters. I was very invested in their story. All of the characters and their fight for their cause made this the YA thriller I didn't know I needed. I'm excited for the 3rd installment especially with that ending. All in all, if you are looking for a YA thriller with Bonnie and Clyde vibes and a dash of romance this is the book for you.

Big thank you to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the chance to review this phenomenal piece!

You will need to read the first book in the series, Teen Killers Club, in order to understand everything in this book. I really enjoyed the first book (one of my favourites from last year and a great debut novel) so it is also recommended by me. So don't continue reading below as there are some major spoilers below.

Lily Sparks Teen Killers Club is back with even more on the line as they try avoid getting killed to prove Signal's innocence:

Signal and Erik have both been labelled as Class A, the most dangerous of the human profiles and Erik is at the top of the class with 10 kills under his belt. Signal and Erik were able to escape Camp and their kill switches and Erik is determined to prove that Signal is innocent and that she loves him. Things are complicated when a nation wide man hunt of the modern day Bonnie and Clyde hit the news and Signal and Erik are not only up against old members of Camp but also every law enforcement agency. Signal doesn't know who she can trust, or if she should trust her head or her heart, but proving her innocence is going to be a deadly one.

I enjoyed this book and the continuation of Signal and Erik’s story from the first one, it picks up right after the first one leaves off. The story is very much about them and their relationship for the first half of the book, and you discover why with what Eric does as the book goes on. The one thing about the first half is that is it structured like a cat and mouse game, so while the story is about Signal and Erik's relationship, it is also about not getting caught, so this adds suspense throughout the book.

I like that Sparks continued to have Nobody feature in the story (she was one of my favourites from the first book) as it made it less of just a teenage relationship drama book and this book had a lot more teenage drama than the first book. Erik and Signal are trying to figure each other out and whether it is just a game they are both playing which is hard when Erik has admitted he is basically a sociopath. But this is probably the one part that get a little annoying throughout the book as Signal and Erik go through many times of he likes me, he likes me not. I know they needed to go through these things, but they did slow the overall story each time.

Erik is such an interesting character with how he manipulates people, how he was basically shaped into the person he is today and he desire to be something more. Erik is a true sociopath at times, but other you can tell he just wants to be a regular teenage guy. It was so interesting getting to see into his past, his parents, his brother, the things that happen to him and the death of his parents too. This is actually the darker aspects of the book, as there are times when Sparks goes into detail, and Erik's diary is so heartbreaking.

This book was a good read and wrapped up some of the story lines but not all of them, so I'm not sure if there is going to be a book three, but if there is count me in for reading it.

Enjoy!!!!

4.25 Stars

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an arc of this book.

I absolutely loved Teen Killer's Club when it first came out and the thrilling, page-turning story that never slowed down! Teen Killers in Love was much the same, except the pace did slow down a little in some sections. This story also focused much more on the romance between Signal and Eric than romance was focused on in the first book, but all your other favorites are still here!

I definitely love the pacing of this book. It is really a page turner and keeps you guessing at every point. I wasn't disappointed by this sequel!

Content Warnings
Graphic: Blood, Murder, and Death
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Torture, and Physical abuse

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I did not realize this was a sequel to another book until I had gotten a quarter of the way through the book. Not knowing it was a sequel made it a little difficult to follow the plot at the beginning, but after a bit it was easy to figure out what was going on in the story. The story itself was decent, but I found the characters to be a little annoying.

Thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for allowing me to enjoy an Advanced copy for my honest review.

Glad, I got another chance to join the world of the Teen Killers. I enjoyed the sequel just as much as I enjoyed the original. I am a bit disappointed, because I believe it's going to be a trilogy. But only because now I have to wait soooo long for the third book to find out what is going to happen to everybody.

This is book 2 in the, “Teen Killers Series.” Erik and Signal have disabled their kill switches disabled and are rushing against time to get the rest of their friends switches disabled. As they're both considered 'class-A's' they're being hunted by the public and their friends. Not only that, but Erik decides to up the ante by trying to get Signal to say 'I love you' to him first.

This book is a morbid take on a YA thriller, and I loved it. I think I would have connected more with the book faster if I had known it was book #2 in the series and read book #1 first. A lot of this book is focused on Erik and his past. Is he redeemable? Is there good in him? Is Signal the beacon of hope that he needs to save himself? There are so many questions.

I think this book is solid. But it feels like there are a lot of context clues and inside 'jokes' that I'm missing by not reading book one. OH! But that ending though!!

Read this book if you like twisted tales. Twisted love. A new take on old tropes. YA Thrillers. Crazy good cliffhangers!!

Thank you, to Netgalley & Dreamscape Media, for this ARC audiobook
Thank you, to Lily Sparks for writing this twisted but fascinating tale!
Thank you, Jesse Vilinsky for using your voice to bring this book to life! Once again, you rock another audiobook!! I'm always in awe of your skills! So talented!

I'm a big fan of the premise of Teen Killers, a system classifying teens that are likely to commit terrible crimes and the government utilizing it for terrible purposes. I enjoyed following Signal as she entered a camp full of killers and made the readers wonder if she actually killed her friend or if she was framed.

This book continued Signal's journey to prove her innocence and expanded on her relationship with Erik. I liked learning more about Erik and the other class A's, especially their crimes, as well as the classification test itself. What I didn't so much enjoy was Signal and Erik's back and forth. It took up so much of the plot and I just wanted Signal to either be with Erik or cut him loose.

The pacing wasn't the best, with exciting moments followed by lulls where it was Signal dealing with her feelings. I am interested enough to read a third book if the author writes one and hopefully we'll see some names cleared and the end of the classification system.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the copy
