ZW Taylor did an amazing job writing this story. I truly enjoy seeing a shifter book from a fully detailed perspective. There’s no need in this to explain the extensive background of the supernaturals, because it is what it is. It’s “real life”.

I rated this a four, simply because it’s marketed (or was to me) as a romance book but there’s… none? Not even a little spice. However, while out of my reading wheelhouse, this book is a great simple shifter book.

Loved this book. I enjoyed being a part of Charlotte's transformation from battered girl to confident woman. I enjoyed the cast of characters in this book, including cranky Levi, and the vampires. The only thing missing was a romance, and maybe that is budding. A really good read, and I would enjoy reading more of this series if the author writes it.

This book was engaging and fast paced. The characters were nicely developed.. There were enough plot twists to keep you interested.
