I started Mariah Stewart’s Wyndham Beach series from the beginning (though you don’t have to) and have loved getting to know Maggie, Liddy, and Emma, along with their families. I love that the characters are older and have dealt and continue to deal with the messiness of life. ALL THAT WE ARE is the third book in the series and this time, Emma is the focus. She’s been a widow for 10 years, and has slowly found her passion with the Art Center, now expanding the scope to offer 3-month residencies for artists who need time away from life to focus on their work. In the midst of this, she finds evidence that her marriage and husband weren’t what she thought they were, and it sends her reeling with her confidence in shreds. Into this place lands another unexpected revelation that turns her life and that of those around her, upside down. Can she add a romance into her life with everything going on? How will the unexpected impact her son, Chris and his fiancée, Natalie? Her best friends and family rally, and we find that family is definitely what you make it.
Stewart has created characters and a town that make you feel that you could drop in and make new friends. They feel like real people with all the ups and downs of life. We, again, get to see the progress of the younger generation and how their lives and relationships are progressing. I have to say, there were a couple times I wished I could shake some sense into Natalie, and was glad Grace called her out on her behavior. I hope this isn’t the end of the series, as I would like to see how things wrap up with the younger generation, but I would miss the stories focusing on the original three friends.
Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy. All opinions are my own and freely given.

After rebuilding her life after the loss of her husband only to discover he had been leading a double life with another women. She spends the summer working through emotions and hosting a group of artists for a retreat where one of them is also hiding from an abusive relationship. Many trials come up and seeing the main character work through many situations is refreshing and relatable.

This book just wasn’t for me. I felt like the pacing was a little too slow and I never found myself eager to pick the book back up. It wasn’t the writing that I didn’t care for but the development of the story.

This review was so hard to write because I wanted to love this book so much. This is the first romance with more mature characters that I read, and I was really excited to dive into it.
Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get into it.
I loved the FMC Emma, she seemed so sweet and so kind hearted, I was very excited for her to finally have a chance to have her happy ending. I also loved the friendship between the 3 ladies, the way they support each other all the time, it was amazing!
But ultimately, I felt that the story lacked structure and focus. There were way too many plot lines, and it just felt like everything was rushed towards the end of the book so that every one of them would be resolved.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishing for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

While Emma Dean has just discovered that her husband had had a longtime affair with his coworker before he died. It has been ten years, but it is still a betrayal. She has invited a group of artists to stay at the art center that she founded, one of whom has ran away from an abusive ex husband. While she is processing everything that is going on, her doorbell rings, only to find a little girl standing there telling her that she is her granddaughter. She calls her rock star son home to try to find out if she is in fact, his daughter.

There are a lot of different storylines going on in this story at once, but they all come together very nicely. It is a great story that is well worth reading.

Emma Dean finds out that her late husband cheated on her. Her two friends try to make it better for her. When a little girl shows up claiming to be her son's daughter her world is shifted.
This is a feel good book. If you need something to raise your spirits this one is for you.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC and to Montlake the publisher.

This is a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Return to Wyndham Beach, this time we get a look into Emma, the artist. Widowed years ago, she is finally cleaning out her husbands home office. Her happy marriage, as she remembers it, is torn to shreds. She deals with this while trying to put together an art show and having a surprising visitor come into her life. Her BFFs since childhood, Maggie and Liddy, are there beside her, every step of the way.

Love the friendship of these mature women. They have dealt with so much, keeping their friendship first and foremost. So nice to read a story of women NOT backstabbing, or tearing each other down. The example these women set forth is passed down to their children. Just a sweet story of relationships, family and love. I look forward to the next installment.

Thanks to Ms. Stewart, Montlake and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

I am always up for a messy women's fiction read. And this book took the cake. It was so messy, but it was more of an emotional mess. Let me explain. Emma is finally recovering from her former husband's death. But she recently discovered that he had a long time affair before he passed away. And now, she is questioning everything she ever knew. It's always messy to discover something after someone passes away because it's harder to deal with your emotions since you cannot confront a dead person. It puts Emma through an emotional ringer that she will be processing through the book.

When I requested this book I didn't realize it was part of a series. While I wish I'd read the earlier books this one does stand alone well enough.

The story centers on Emma and I enjoyed her journey and the supporting characters. It was refreshing to read a story about women in their 50's. All in all a good read!.

I want to start by saying that I really wanted to like this book from the description on NetGalley. I also would rather give this book 3.5 stars instead of 4, but alas, 4 is what is selected.

Overall, the story is good and carries a good message behind it- that sometimes family is not always flesh and blood, life is definitely not fair, and when you have the right people to support you, it makes a ton of difference. This book has it all- engagement, a little mystery, deceit, a surprise child, art, and more. Parts of this book were good and I appreciated the friendship and family relationships shown between the characters. It made the characters feel more real and realistic in the way they reacted and talked to each other.

Parts of this book though dragged on and it seemed like a revolving door of three issues that just seemed to be talked about and dissected constantly but not really shown progress toward a resolution until the end. It seemed like certain chapters were repetitive and it took me longer to finish this book than I would have liked.

I had a lovely time between the pages of this book, what a delightful read!
The storyline is oozing emotion, concentrating mainly on Emma’s ups and downs. Emma finds herself dealing with the fallout when she discovers that her deceased husband was involved with someone else!
The belief that you know your history and future are questioned, in your own mind. Those already close and new friends help heal Emma’s heart whilst she immerses herself in her art group.
The characters are all relatable and fit well as the story unfolds. Emma has choices and decisions to make that she didn’t think she had the strength to do!

Thanks so much to the publisher, NetGalley and author for the opportunity to read this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I first picked up this title I had no clue it was part of a series. That being said it is quite easy to read alone but I am sure being familiar with the characters adds something to the story. It’s such a great beachy read of friendship!

All That We Are is available now in Paperback, eBook, and Audiobook
⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️ Book Review

Meet the Author: Mariah Stewart lives with her husband and two rambunctious rescue dogs. She resides in Pennsylvania where she savors country life, tends her gardens, and works on her next novel. She is the proud mama of two daughters who have gifted her with six adorable grand babies.

Reader’s Thoughts: All That We Are by Mariah Stewart is the third installment of the Wyndham beach series. Each novel within this series tells a story of three best friends. This is Emma’s story. A decade after Emma’s husband passes away she discovers the truth…..he had been having an affair with his assistant. She doesn’t understand how such betrayal ten years later could hurt so much. The enduring friendships in this novel are pure and full of never ending surprises. Full of supportive family and friends, Emma will make it through this difficult time.

Stewart writes with such passion, the reader can feel every emotion throughout the story. The characters are personable and relatable. The story line was realistic and flawless, flowing smoothly from beginning to end. There was a little mysterious twist to the story which I also liked. At no point was this a dull or boring read, keeping me wanting more until the very end. I will definitely recommend not only this novel, but this author to all of my book friends. I will be on the lookout for more to read from Stewart.

Thank you, @NetGalley for providing me with a complimentary review copy. In no way has that influenced my voluntary review.

All That We Are is a part of a series and is better to be read as a series. This feel good contemporary fiction is centered around friendships, romance and second chances.

Emma finds a shocking past while just finding her groove back. She is just learning to independent but this finding rattles her. On top of this, her and her family have to come to terms which is a total shock and could destroy their little family. I loved the friendships portrayed in the story. The friendships across the ages and generations is heartwarming. The author has touched upon several topics which are very sensitive and I wanted her to explore that more.

Overall I really enjoyed this book but it could have been a little shorter. I felt that at several places it was repetitive. A little fast paced and it would have been a 4 star book for me. This book is better to be read as a series and not a standalone.

The third book in Mariah Stewart's Wyndham Beach series centers on Emma, one of three lifelong friends who have reunited after 40 years in the small community where they grew up. Hopefully, the author will continue this series with the younger characters who have played integral roles in these first three books. We need to see the rest of their family members get their happy endings! Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for a copy to read and review.

I started and stopped this book several times. I needed to be in the right frame of mind for the emotional parts, I guess. Emma is the last of our three best friends to maybe find her happily ever after, bit it didn't come without plenty of heartache and upheaval for our Wyndham Beach family. Emma finds out things she wishes she'd never known but it certainly gave her more strength than she'd already had. There are very happy moments, very sad moments, chaos and life changing moments

I enjoyed this book very much. This book is part of the Wyndham series. You can read this book as a stand alone but will want to go back and read the other books. The series is about three friends Maggie, Liddy and Emma ,who are older and have adult children. This is Maggie’s story. This story has a bit of mystery, second chances and romance. A enjoyable read. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake. This is my own opinion.
