This was an absolute blast to read! I read it almost in 1 go, but still in just 1 day. It's All He Has Left by Chad Zunker. I received it via Netgalley from Thomas & Mercer and it will be out on 21 February.

Jake Slater loses his wife in a horrible car accident and almost loses his daughter as well in the custody battle with his in-laws that follow in the months after the accident. He moves away but a year later returns with his daughter. But then, his daughter gets kidnapped and people around are getting killed. Jake follows all leads to get his daughter back, and nothing will stop him.

This was an absolute thrill and I couldn't put it down at all. Fast-paced, action-packed and twitst you stumble across. The characters are decently worked out that you get to know them enough. The storyline was also perfectly fine. I had such a blast reading this and I can't wait to read some of his other works!

I thought this book was absolutely amazing! Great writing and storyline kept me reading this mystery well into the night! Lots of twists and turns. Never read anything by this author but will definitely be on the lookout for more of his work. Thank you netgalley for letting me give an honest review of this book.

This book had me from page 1. In fact I read it in one afternoon. I always enjoy books by this author.

A tense and atmospheric crime thriller by a very talented author. Jack Slater's wife was killed in a tragic hit-and-run, and then the story takes a darker turn when his daughter Piper is abducted and her cousin Caitlin murdered. Jack goes against all odds to locate his daughter whilst being sought by the police and FBI. Family money and power, family secrets and betrayals, and an assassin in the mix produce a novel that is impossible to put down. Brilliant writing and storyline worthy of five stars.

Damn... That's emotional!

Fast paced writing with really short chapters, I just flew through this one.
Jake loses his wife in a hit-and-run incident and he's facing a custody battle for their only daughter with his powerful in-laws.
The daughter gets kidnapped and she's the only possible witness to the murder of her cousin Caitlin.

What follows is a crazy life for Jake who's hunted by the media, the FBI and an assassin!

Totally heartbreaking but also crazily fast-paced, the book is a treat for thriller lovers.
