As an educator, I enjoy reading stories that kids might like so that I can make a recommendation.
Also they are usually a delight for me to read after reading my typical psychological thrillers!

In this story three friend Ada, Iggy, and Rosie are ready for a sleepover.
Iggy's is excited with his first sleepover at his house. They talk about eating popcorn, telling spooky stories and perhaps play ping-pong. Iggy immediately declares “Nope” as the ping-pong table is in the basement—and Iggy warns them that the basement is HAUNTED!

This children’s Halloween story is totally fun and will not scared children into not sleeping ~ it is however much too short.
I have listened to other audiobook narrated by Bahni Turpin. Her performance of children’s voices is always GREAT!

Want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape media for this early eGalley.

Our youngest loved listening to this audiobook!

Ada Twist and her friends are seeking answers to a potential ghost in the basement. They use their observation skills, make their hypothesis and figure out the real answers. I love how these stories walk children through finding answers to a problem. Stopping to think and test out a theory.

This is a short audiobook. Enough to keep your child's attention for the story.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this book.

Ada Twist is always a great time. This story blended Ada's scientific style worth a ghost. I enjoyed both the story and the narrator.

What an adorable book that teaches thinking scientifically! Ada and her friends get to have a fun sleepover-only there is something spooky in the basement! The kids create a hypothesis and look for evidence to decide if the disturbance is otherworldly.

Only they discover that they have confirmation bias and need to look at the ENTIRE picture and not just pieces of evidence.

Fabulous story about finding the truth, even with high emotions involved.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape media for this Arc. My first graders will love this story once it’s published ❤️

Ada, Iggy, and Rosie come together for a sleepover at Iggy's house. Ada and Rosie are excited to explore, but Iggy is scared of the ghost in the basement. As always, the group come up with a plan to investigate.

I have really enjoyed reading Andrea Beaty's original stories featuring Ada Twist, Rosie Revere, Iggy Peck, and more. Unfortunately, Gabrielle Meyer's Netflix version in ADA TWIST, SCIENTIST: GHOST BUSTED was a far cry from the original characters and charm. The audio narrator also did not work for me for this story. [I have listened to other narrations by Bahni Turpin and she is great! But this one? Not so much.]

I think this story might work for younger kids who aren't able to sit through the longer original stories, or those who only know the Netflix version, but I feel the spirit of the original characters is really missing.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.
