Yor must protect the lone survivor of a mob family while trying not to be recognized by Loid or Anya. Anya knows Yor is there and tries to distract Loid. Loid is confused by Anya's behavior.

Another volume of the popular series Spy x Family continues the Forger family's antics. This volume focuses on Yor Forger, secret assassin, and accordingly has more graphic violence than the volumes focusing on on Anya's school or Loid's spy work. It's a great insight into Yor's character development and Loid and Anya trying to have a fun cruise still brings some charm and laughs.

You might have heard of Spy X Family by now. The anime is a hit, and this is the manga it's based off of. If you're new to this series, welcome! It's a ride, but this is a pretty good volume to jump into if you've never read it before. Now, let's talk about this volume specifically. Spy X Family has always maintained a very delicate balance of three distinct parts: comedy, action, and heart. The fact that it has expertly wields these factors for eight volumes and counting is something I've always admired about the series. This volume focuses mostly on Yor and her mission to guard a fleeing woman and child, while Loid and Anya attempt to have a fun trip on the same cruise ship. It's nice to see Yor can hold the spotlight just as well as her husband and daughter. This is one of my favorite newer series, and this volume is a nice showcase of it's strengths.

I would literally do anything for these characters. Like, they are all so dumb and also such disasters but also so smart at times and I just...I love them. I adore Anya and Loid and Yor so much and honestly, to say too much about the cruise ship arc would be too spoilery. So I'll just say to read it and laugh and love it!

Another phenomenal volume of Spy x Family! The stakes in Volume 8 lead to some fantastic interactions and developments, and I especially can't wait to see what happens next after that ending.

A great installation to the quick fan favorite, Spy x Family!
In this volume, we learn more about Yor's secret job as tensions are high on a cruise ship where she is guarding a mother and son in their escape to safety from assassination attempts. We learn more about why Yor became Thorn Princess and why she still keeps the job. Loid and Anya might be the side plot in the volume, but they still have great banter and Anya brings her great and stark facial expressions!
I can't wait for volume 9!

Off on a boat trip with the family and on the job for Yor. This is gonna be bloody lol.
A lot of inside into Yor and her motivation and strive in the assassin job and we see more into that world too which was cool.
Loid is really becoming whipped by Anya too!
