This was an amazing follow up to Amy's debut.

I loved the characters, storyline and depth. I enjoyed going on the self discovery journey with Tara and Trevor.

It was a delightful read that left me very happy.

The only reason this wasn't 5 stars was because there were some aspects of the relationship that was convincing to me.

This one was okay for me. I didn't love our main character, and I didn't love not having a dual POV. It was difficult to believe the love interest's sudden declaration of love when it seemed to come out of nowhere.

This is it. The best romance novel I’ve read all year.

Amy Lea blew me AWAY with her amazingly lovable characters, beautiful and emotional love story and incredible journey of self discovery.

I’m feeling every emotion and can’t WAIT to read this gem again. You absolutely MUST read this book as soon as it’s out!!!

Highly recommended

i wanted to love this because
- heroine is a "book influencer" and so am i
- heroine is a hopeless romantic (also me)
- heroine is a picky eater (again, same)

but there were too many missing pieces for me here. mainly, chemistry between heroine/hero. the friendship felt pretty forced since there weren't many shared interests. the heroine was... sadly pretty pathetic. more than 1 ex bf calls her a stage 3 clinger. and the pop culture references/booktok/booktube references felt off... i'm pretty picky about it so that's definitely just a me thing but i shuddered a couple times.

the sex scenes were hot enough so that's nice. but not enough to make up for everything else. basically this is one of the "okayest" romances i've read in a while.

I cannot get behind a FMC who wants to go down memory lane with her exes in hopes of convincing one to be her date for a gala. If they dumped you, or you dumped them, they are not worth your time. So, let's just say this book started off rocky for me. When you dislike the plot from the jump, it's going take a whole lot to get a rave review.

Crystal and Trevor's interactions, both wanted and forced, were the highlight of this novel. I found Trevor let Crystal be her truest self; even when that was someone who fully loved “big” and believed in never setting for her HEA. And while I didn't love their meet cute, I think both characters grow and became the best versions of themselves.

"Exes and O's" is a great fit for readers seeking a heartwarming and rom-com that explores the complexities of love, relationships, and self-discovery.

Very cute and sweet romance! I really liked both of these characters, and thought the bookstagrammer concept was so much fun! I'm a sucker for a roommate romance, so this was right up my alley. Can't wait to read the next one in this world!

This was cute! It's in part an homage to the bookish social media community, especially the romance genre. Is Tara a little over the top with questionable taste in romance tropes? Yes, but the beauty of this is that Trevor falls for her for exactly who she is. It's charming and sweet and I had fun reading it.

I loved this book! I read Set on You but this can be read as standalone. I liked the premise of the story - wanting to try rekindling past relationships for a second chance romance. The MC is a hopeless romantic and maybe a tiny bit over the top but I can understand or relate to the character in that way. I’d recommend this book to anyone.

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC! I also bought my own physical copy.

Honestly? This book was incredible, and I didn't expect any less. I loved the first book SET ON YOU so much, not only because of how romantic it was but because of how SEEN I felt while reading it. Crystal's struggles with self-love mirror some of my own, and I felt like Lea had leaped into my soul and wrote about what she saw there. Similarly, I felt very seen while reading EXES AND O's. Like Tara, I often get told that my head is too filled with romance novels, causing me to have unrealistic expectations about love. Tara taught me to keep trying for the love I know I deserve, and I'm so grateful. This was a beautiful, heartfelt, (extremely) romantic novel and I already want to give it another read!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a really great read for anyone who has definitely made their way through a ton of relationships that just didn't work out.

This is such a great book and I love that the main character is a Bookstagrammer. Forced proximity and grumpy sunshine are two of my favorite tropes so I love that they were part of this book. The steam and tensions is off the charts in this one. There’s also a ton of funny but relatable moments. This is such a cute book and I can’t wait to read more from Amy.

This was a sweet book that was just not for me. There were things I liked. The MFC is a book influencer (how fun and relatable) but to be completely honest she felt a little.. pathetic to me. She is trying to reconnect with her ex's even after many of them broke up with her because "she is a stage five clinger". I just... felt like that was semi proving their point? The MMC was fun to read about and I did think the two characters has some sweet moments. Overall, I think the book was okay.

This was such a relatable, cute, and enjoyable read! Tara is a romance book obsessed bookstagrammer and wants to find her own second chance romance with one of her 10 exes. Her new roommate Trevor, her brothers friend, decides to help her out. I related a lot to this book and highly recommend it and can't wait to read more of Amy Lea's books!

“Also, it's offensive and demeaning to be written off as crazy. Especially given the stigma of mental health. And maybe the real issue here is that some men can't confront their emotions. Instead of taking responsibility for your own behavior, it's easier to screw us, write us off as loons, and forget about us.”

“My entire life, I thought I needed to hold on to love with an iron fist. It was a feeling I needed to trap, to smother, so it wouldn’t slip through my fingers. Little did I know, when you’re with the right person, being in love never feels like the bottom is going to fall out. It’s solid, stable, and indestructible.”

“men south of sixty who regularly read fiction are an endangered species that must be protected at all costs.”

I loved this book. I thought that there were a lot of similarities in between me and the main character, so it was fun to sort of connect with the character based on them. I think that there was the perfect amount of cutesy romance, deeper themes and also steamier scenes. Overall I thought that this was a really fun book.

3.2⭐️⭐️⭐️

There was so much potential here, and I just wasn’t getting the fill I needed until I reached 75%. The whole plot line of the ‘ex hunt’ was just not as exciting as I thought it would be for Tara’s chance to finding her second chance romance. I think this is one of those books where it would of been nice to have dual povs’ from both mcs. I just wished we could of seen more of what the hell was going on in Trevor’s head throughout the story. Nonetheless I still appreciate receiving an arc of this in exchange for an honest review.

Exes and O’s is only the third book I’ve read so far in 2023 and I can already tell that it is going to be one of my favorite romances of the year!

I loved Amy’s debut, Set on You, last year so Exes and O’s was one of my most anticipated books to release in 2023. I was so excited to dive in! I have to be honest though...after reading a little bit of Exes and O’s, I wasn’t sold on Trevor and I was 100% convinced that there was no way Amy was going to redeem him for me! Woah buddy was I wrong?! Amy wielded her sorcery magic and I fell heads over heels in love with Trevor! New favorite book boyfriend!

On the other hand, I connected with Tara SO much! I’ve always been the girl that feels too much and falls too easily just like Tara! You cannot even imagine how many crushes I had in middle school and high school. You just can’t help but love Tara and cheer for her to find love….and when she does, it is SO sweet!

Exes and O’s is perfect for fans of The Friend Zone and The Flatshare!

Read if you like:
-Friends to lovers
-Forced proximity/Roommate romance
-Closed off heroes (firefighter style)
-Bookstagrammer heroine
-Junk food
-The Friend Zone & The Flatshare

Thank you so much Berkley Romance and Netgalley for the gifted copy.

What a cute read!!

Bookstagrammer Tara Chen is tired of never having her own romance story. After a nasty break up and needing a place to live, she finds herself living with a new roommate. Trevor, the new roommate happens to be the most attractive firefighter she has ever seen,

One day Tara gets a crazy idea to go through all of her own exes, and create her own "second chance romance". As she goes through the list, she gets Trevor to help her. She just has to keep her attraction to Trevor under wraps. Trevor doesn't believe in love, and certainly isn't looking for anything more than a one night stand with strangers.

But living in such close proximity... can Tara really keep her feelings under control?

This was such a cute book. I really enjoyed it and Tara's wild personality. I loved the growth of the characters throughout the book and how they truly went from friends to lovers. This is a wonderful novel that I will always recommend!
