Good story line with action and suspense. Definitely worth a read.

I love alex kanes books and this one was no different.
Cara frazer was married to one of glasgows largest gangsters, he was killed on the streets he ran.. cara bought up her 2 sons ryan and shawn alone.
Ryan and shawn are now adults and are climbing the gangster ladder, they also want revenge for their father.. Will cara and the boys find who was responsible???? Fast paced, gritty, exciting, highley recommend

Angie and Dale Bryson have three children two sons and a daughter but Angie will do anything to protect her children. Cara is married to Kyle Fraser they have two sons. Kyle and his brother work for the Bryson s .but Kyle and his brother are getting greedy and want there own business. but one night Cara gets a knock at her door its the police Kyle and his brother have been murdered. time goes buy and Cara s boys grow up and they want revenge for there fathers murder. this story is very good its about lies deceit and two mothers who will protect there own

Wow Alex Kane gets better and better with each book this was addictive fast paced and ruthless . I loved it a brilliant story line kept me hooked and wanting more . Recommend this highly

Having read all of this authors previous books, I was beyond excited to get given this ARC and it hasn't disappointed! Fast paced, gritty and with its fair share if undesirables this book us a corker. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Another brilliant read by this author,just when you think she's written her best she proves you wrong going up another level.
I love her ability to make each character likable even the bad guys.Im counting down the days till the next book by this author.

I’ve never read a book by this author before, but recently it’s a genre I’ve gone back too. These sorts of storylines in particular. So I was quite excited when I saw this and was extremely pleased to be able to receive an arc.

I had an idea of what I was expecting when I started this and it didn’t disappoint. The author set the scene beautifully, and with such excellent writing skills, it’s easy to follow the back and forth of the storyline.
The characters were extremely strong and well executed, I really found myself invested in what was happening. What else do you need from a book?
Whatever you are looking for, this has it all and I would highly recommend.
I’m fact, I’m now going to go and have a look at what other books I can buy now. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this author in the future.

Another fantastic book by Alex Kane, I am a great fan of her work and always know that I am in for an enjoyable few hours when I pick up on of her books, plus I do love the gangster theme. The book moves from past to present and setting up the storyline which proves successful.

Cara Foster loses her husband Kyle in a gangland killing, consumed by grief Cara was left to raise her two sons Ryan and Sean by herself. Now the boys are grown men and out to keep up the tradition of carrying on the family name and in doing to making many enemies along the way, trying to become the top players in the Glasgow drugs underworld. But there is another gangland family that have a strong presence in Glasgow, and at a family wedding to renew their vows Dale Bryson and his wife's family are targeted by an unknown shooter. His brother is killed and his daughter left extremely traumatised. This leads to a wonderful tale of family secrets and betrayals with revenge now high on the list for both families. Strong characters and a fast plot make this an excellent read, another winner for me and this is definitely one of my go to authors.

Really enjoyed this one , it just might be Alex Kane's best yet.
Brilliant storyline , loved fiesty character Cara and her quest to bring up her boys Ryan and Kyle , who in turn want to rule the streets of Glasgow , much like their Dad.
Can't wait to read the next book.

This was a amazing book I couldn't put it down the story was gripping and intriguing.i just couldn't put it down untill I had read the lot.

This book is quite the puzzle and what you think you'll find might just surprise you in the end. All Angie wants to do is protect her children, will she succeed? But as with most best intentions they are filled by pitfalls.

I found this to be a good and easy read. It follows the Bryson family and the Fraser family and if you like gangland books then this could be for you. I thought the characters were mostly likeable, believable, and realistically portrayed. The story was well written and engaging although I would have liked it to wow and thrill me a bit more or have me eager to turn the pages to find out what happened next. I thought it initially was a slow burner of a read and it took time for me to be fully immersed in the story. I liked how the book moved from past to present times very easily and that the story was told through the different characters and their perspectives When the Bryson family are targeted and receive threats they realise they need to find out who is behind these events and why. Family secrets begin to unravel and are the characters all that they seem or have they got their own agendas? I did guess a couple of things correctly in the storyline and think maybe this is why the book didn’t wow me overall. Saying that though, I would recommend this if you like gangland books and suggest you give this a go. I’d probably look to read the authors other books when I have time.

Wow another page turner by Alex can these books get any better

Alex Kane, stand up take a bow and straighten up the crown! This is a phenomenal read and one that I instantly knew I was going to love. However, I didn’t expect to love this as much as I have.

I knew as soon as this landed it was a book I had to read. I have devoured this masterpiece in less than 24 hours. Kane has pulled me in, transported me to Glasgow and kept me hostage until the very last page.

As always, this is possibly my favourite of Alex’s books. However, I have definitely been left craving more. This is a masterpiece and one of my top reads. Alex is just so lovely yet manages to create the darkest of books. I absolutely love it.

The Mother introduces us to the Frasers and the Brysons. Both families with some dodgy individuals, questionable decisions and completely unpredictable motives. Despite this, I have adored them from beginning to end! I found myself completely invested in the characters.

This is perfectly written and paced. You absolutely cannot predict this one. It’s filled with moments to shock and completely enthral the reader. Alex is a genius, a queen and absolutely phenomenal writer as well as being a lovely and gorgeous human.

This is a must read and a book worthy of all the stars and praise. This is a must read and one I have been unwilling and unable to put down. Whether a fan of Alex or a new reader this is a must.
